Terrible just kept beeping the whole cycle
Terrible machines brought one from the good guys got it home and shortly after that it just started constantly making a beeping sound it drove me mad! Good guys sent a repair guy out he replaced the mother board and left but that made no difference. I demanded a replacement machine and to there credit I got one the repair guy delivered it and what do you know?the new one was doing the exact same thing. Unbelievable I know but true! They sent the repair guy yet again and he confirmed it was faulty aswell. I had finally had it with fisher and pay...Read more
kel I demanded a whole new brand and again to there credit the good guys were great. I went instore and picked a Simpson 8kg top loader and it has been a fantastic machine it’s sturdy through the cycle much more grunt and the clothes come out so much cleaner. So I highly advise taking note of my wrap up of the fisher & paykel. 2 out 2 duds is surely saying something.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

wonderful
I have bought this a while ago and have nothing but great use from it. Cleaning beautifully can use the quick wash which takes no time at all but cleans as well as the soak dial which runs for about 30 mins.

It gets the loads done
I use this washing machine for my general, workout and workwear clothing. I can get particularly dirty at work and this machine does the job perfectly to get them clean. The timing feature is great so you can go about your business and the washing be completed in a timely fashion. The machine has different settings and is easily adjustable and easy to use. As such, the machine handles my clothing well including delicates with a change of setting.

Washing results looks as good as new
Multi coloured wash, easy function set. Just turn the dial to set your required wash. You can even set it as your favourite. Add your detergent, close lid and off you go. Set cycle about 45 min. You can even set the spin speed. Washes clothes better than any other washer that I have had. My wash is now bright and white. This is my favourite by far.

Piece of crap
Suspension rods inadequate for the size of the machine, replaced by FnP once at 2yrs old. Now 5yr and same issue. No help from FnP just want more money to keep repairing. previously owned a 7.5kg FnP and it is still going strong washing loads twice the size our 8kg can handle without any issues. FnP stated it was out of warranty and tough crap. Never buying another and will continue to tell others about there poor product and customer service.
Shame you cant give zero stars

Did not last long 3 years only
Stopped working after 3 years. Washing only with cold water but hot or warm water does not work. Over priced significantly. Would not recommend to buy it . Very hard to operate

This is perfect
This is an excellent Washing machine and would recommend to anyone. It is compact and very quite and does a very good job of washing clothes from Work overalls to towels to sheets to delicate clothes. Controls are easy as all push button and spin drying is excellent as you can select a high 1100 rpm which leaves clothes almost dry. Also you can miss and mach on different cycles I.E hot/cold wash, as well as change cycles mid wash. Spin speeds etc. Only paid $1076 including installation and 5 yr warranty

Rarely finishes a cycle
Only owned for 1-2 years, but have had problem after problem. Constantly going out of balance, saying there are issues with the tap and not sucking water, saying there are suds when there are not, and not draining. Beeps and stops wash halfway through for no obvious reason. Have tried resetting. Had two blockages fixed by technician this year alone. When it actually works it does an ok job.

I absolutely hate this machine!!!
I absolutely hate this machine!!! It is the worst F & P washing machine I have ever had, and we have had them for over 25 years!! It starts filling with water, then stops, then starts just wetting the clothes and then stops again - just to have a good think about what it needs to do next no doubt!!! Then it spins around a couple of times, makes a few clunking and banging noises, then stops again. Then it finally starts filling with water!!! I usually set it on the 39 minute wash - would love to do a quicker wash but it doesnt have anything...Read more
quicker!!! And lo and behold if you stop the machine after it gets to say 30 minutes to add something else to the wash, it reverts back to the 39 minutes again!!! Who in the hell thought this was a good idea!! This machine was obviously designed by someone who has never washed anything in their life - overall, a complete and utter idiot has designed this!!! We had never had a problem with our old F & P, so we've deduced that some techno savvy person thought they'd design a new age machine, and completely stuffed it up!!!!! We are now resurrecting our old machine, which we've had repaired and we're going to throw this other bit of rubbish to the tip. Not happy and am advising everyone I know not to buy a F & P washing machine - ever!!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fisher & Paykel 10kg top loader - haven't fixed the problems
I bought a brand new 10kg Fisher & Paykel top loader, it broke down in Jan 2022 when it was less than 12mths old which was within the 24mth warranty period. The washing machine stopped working mid-cycle over the Australia day weekend while it was 40++ degrees and I was away. It blew up my electrical box and power outlet in the process, as well as turning off my fridge for days. I arrived home to the rancid odour of rotting perishables and meat in my fridge, and a washing machine that shorted my electricity anytime it was turned on.
Easy fix...Read more
you say? Replace the machine you think? Nope and nope. They will not replace machines no matter how many times they are called out and how many parts are crappy and broken - I had them out to replace over 7 parts in the machine from the powerboard, to brackets, to wires, to pipes, to rotary pieces. They also do not extend the warranty under any circumstances, so now, if the machine breaks again in the next 12mths I'm covered, but there's no hard reset on the 24mth warranty, despite the machine have a myriad of issues. So you're hoping they'll fix it quickly at least? Nope. Over the course of Feb/Mar/Apr/May Fisher & Paykel continued to replace more and more parts, visiting my house more times than I can count. Each time, a technician visits and does an assessment, orders parts and returns once they arrive and it takes 2weeks between each visit for their Customer Care team to get their act into gear because they are REACTIVE and cannot predict that X part will arrive from Brisbane to Melbourne on X date, therefore we can book Customer appointment on XX date to allow a buffer in case of delays. Oh no, they just wait and you call them when you start wondering what's happening. It's a joke. There's nothing service oriented about this experience. What do you do without a washing machine? They won't provide you with a replacement machine so be prepared for the coin laundry or to get help from a friend or relative because the support level here is zero. Is the machine working properly now? No, and I am really concerned that they are NOT going to offer a 24mth warranty on the replacement parts or as a gesture of goodwill, extend my original warranty. This machine is a ticking time bomb and it will break down again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A wicked machine
I have had several f and p machines over the last 40 years but the wash smart delivered today has nothing good about except the styling.the so called safety features are nothing but a nuisance and the length of wash cycle is ridiculous. I hope the next model stays with the excellence features.have to keep pausing to change the program in any way. Wish I had repaired my old one
Quite cranky!!!!

What a load of rubbish
The first half a dozen times the machine was fine, doing general medium size loads of clothing it was great. Then tried to put a towel load on, 4 bath sheet size and it kick a hissy fit. In the end had to pull two out and put through my 5kg twin tub. What a waste of money this machine was $899. Have put up with dirty cloths, stop, starting, out of balance, not filling, emptying mid cycle for 7 years now and had enough. What a piece of junk. My 5kg $300 twin tub works better..

Great machine and size of bowl is awesome
No more laundry mats for blankets or bigger washes. Can do it all in one machine with no fuss, just put the load on and let it do it's thing. Very happy with the machine so far and can wash very large loads to small. Doesn't take long to do a wash, great on water and power. Washes very clean and great with delicates.

Better than the old Fisher & Paykel...
After 10 years our old F&P bit-the-dust. One thing my wife asked for was not to get another bottom rotor type as these just tangle up and tear the clothes! Bought the 7kg F&P with centre agitator from AppliancesOnLine (AOL) through EBAY as a 10% discount was available. AOL delivered and installed it and took away our old machine... something that HN told me would cost $80 extra! Anyway very happy with our purchase because we have no more tangled clothes and lint in the wash. It is also easier to use then old washer including doing a spin only cycle by pressing "Wash Advance" until the "Spin" LED lights up and then press "START".
