I put on an everyday load but it went for 1 hour and 15 minutes instead of the usual 59 minutes - what would be causing this?
1 answer
Possibly an unbalanced load. The machine will fiddle around trying to redistribute the load if it senses it's not balanced when commencing a spin, and this adds to the cycle time.
Another (albeit much less likely) possibility is if your water pressure has dropped significantly for some reason, which would cause the machine to take longer to fill.

Our machine is around 3 months old and has developed an annoying problem. Every time use use the 15 minute cycle water leaks out of the detergent draw . You usually need up to 5 towels to mop up the water so its not a little dribble. I blamed my Daughter for not shutting the soap draw but it happened to me today and leaked an excessive amount .
My Wife came out and paused the machine and changed it to the 30 minute wash cycle and started the machine and this stopped the leak.
Apart from being a pain the water i causing damage to the Laundry. Any ideas

I have the WH8560P2, one week old and it is working just fine.
However, I have noticed that there is a LOT of vibration during the spin cycle - so much so that you can see a box of washing powder left on top of the machine moving around all over the place. Our old LG didn't vibrate at all - you could put a glass of water on top of it and barely see a ripple.
Is this amount of vibration normal for this machine? I'm concerned for the longevity of delicate internal components like the electronics in the control panel.
The machine is installed on a concrete floor and I have checked that it is perfectly level.
Has anybody else noticed this level of vibration? Any F&P reps in here care to comment?
Cheers.
1 answer
Just to confirm, as you say the machine is only a week old, have you ensured that the transit bolts have been removed from the back of the machine ? If these are not removed it will cause this issue and yes, could cause irrepairable damage to your machine.

Hi there. I have a new machine only a mth or so old and have the same error. What did you end up doing? Love to hear back from you as this is so annoying i cant get my washing out of the machine. Thx tash
I ended up disconnecting it and draining it out. Just moved it out side and undid the filter drain hole in the bottom right hand corner. There was part of a draw string caught in there. Got that out and has worked fine ever since. Hope that helps

I've just unpacked my Machine from the box and realised the water drain pipe is on the left and I need it on the right and it's not long enough to reach over. can I run it straight along the bottom of the back of the machine to the right and then take it up from there? thank you
2 answers
Hi Lisa,
My drain pipe is also located on the left of my washing machine and the plumber was able to run it behind the back of the machine. I hope this helps.
As long as it rises up near the top of the machine at some point to prevent siphoning of water.
there are also extension drain hoses available from F&P, phone their spare parts or look online.

On the Everyday setting with Rinse + and it seems to be spinning with 29 mins to go. Does it spin before doing an additional rinse and then spin again at the end? Just seemed strange it was spinning mid cycle.
1 answer
Rudi K.Fisher & Paykel
If Rinse+ is selected the load undergoes a second rinse and spin.

I had a F & P top loader previously that used front loader washing liquid and did not have any problems with this. With a load of only 4 towels (normal not sheet) and no washing liquid whatsoever on the everyday cycle the washing cycle has very little water and suds for most of the washing cycle which just seems to keep on tumbling. Towards the end at the spin cycle before the rinse heaps of suds are suddenly in the bowl. With the second rinse there are lots of suds around the window even at the end of the cycle. The towels come out stiff and very scratchy. I have been washing the towels this way for several washes to see if I have used too much previously but there is still suds in the rinse cycle. Can you make suggestions as I am not happy with the way it is washing and I was promised this was the best machine by Harvey Norman as I was extremely unhappy with my previous F&P and would not buy one again? If this is how it washes then I will be returning it.

possibly waaaay too much detergent.
try 1/2 teaspoon (it's concentrated, no filler)
Way back when machines used 200+ litres per wash a scoop was good.
now they use 10 litres per wash.
test.
When wash finished leave sheets in and try another short wash - niticed any detergent in wash?

HELP ! Please tell me what to do. I have not been able to UNLOCK the washer after accidentally pressing the Keylock & the machine stays stuck on the central control (Cotton) but it will not start to operate. Thanks
1 answer
Rudi K.Fisher & Paykel
Keylock
This option enables you to deactivate the buttons on the display panel, except for the POWER
and KEYLOCK buttons. This prevents accidental button presses.
To turn Keylock mode ON or OFF, when the washer is powered on:
■■ Touch and hold the KEYLOCK button for 2 seconds.
Note: when activated, the light above the KEYLOCK button is illuminated.
If Keylock mode is activated and the machine is powered off:
■■ To turn your washer on, press the POWER button, then touch and hold the KEYLOCK button for
two seconds. Select your wash cycle, options and then START / PAUSE to start the cycle.

My washsmart frontloader is leaking water from underneath above the tea /that's under the machine and the fabric softer part fills with water and won't take the softer out. Any ideas?
2 answers
Not really as I do not fix these things for a living and only do it out of necessity to save a few hundred dollars. All I can suggest is take the top off and check the rubber hoses connected to that part of the machine and clean any that may be blocked. It could also be a solenoid staying open when it shouldn't or not opening at all (???).

was wondering if any of your front loader washers have the option to stop a wash mid cycle to add clothes and also if you have an option to use the spin cycle only?
1 answer
Rudi K.Fisher & Paykel
Add a Garment (WH8560F, WH8060F, WH8560P, WH8060P and WH7560P models only)
The ‘Add a Garment’ function can be used to interrupt the cycle to add or remove a
garment at any time during the wash part of the cycle (as long as the wash temperature
selected is lower than 60°C). Water in the machine will be drained to a level where the
door can be opened, if necessary.
These models also have a Spin only cycle to spin out wet clothes.
Sharon Radicasked
how do I access the clean cycle?
1 answer
Rudi K.Fisher & Paykel
Cleaning the inside of your washer
It is important that you regularly clean the inside of your machine using the DRUM CLEAN cycle.
After 100 cycles your washer will flash the DRUM CLEAN cycle icon everytime you turn your
washer on to remind you to do this. If your washer starts to smell this is a sign that you should
complete a DRUM CLEAN cycle. We recommend that you do not have any items in the washer
when you run this cycle.
Cleaning steps
1 Add approximately 2 full scoops of a good quality powdered
detergent directly into the main wash detergent compartment
of the dispenser drawer (marked “2”).
2 Press POWER to turn your machine on and select the
DRUM CLEAN cycle.
3 Touch START / PAUSE to start the cycle

Hello. My 8.5 kg wash smart washing machine has a problem. When I turn it on it won't do anything. The number 2:17 comes up but when I turn the knob it won't select anything. I push start and nothing happens. What can I do or does it need to be replaced?
Thanks Kate.

To remove a delay start time once it is counting down, simply touch START / PAUSE, then
touch the LESS button to decrease the time to zero. Touch START / PAUSE to start the cycle
immediately.
The same thing has happened to me tonight. The delay time button hasn't been pushed or anything. I can't turn dial round without hearing beeping. The key lock button is on.
The same thing has happened to mine. The drum clean light is also flashing. I tried what has been suggested. But the numbers don't change. It is reading 2.17?
