Locked keys in my car at 845pm, all sorted by 930pm. Webform glitched & reset after the request was processed, a problem similiar to others mentioned but the call centre was on top of it, technician tried to call me while I still talking to the call centre. Technician was from allianz global assist, friendly & efficient.

The ain't "gotu" at all bruh
They claim 24 hour service yet didn't respond to calls. Website had a popup ad while filling out form which would not let me finish doing so. When I finally did finish filling out the form and paid, it kept loading saying it was looking for help. Nobody turned up and we had to use another service, HOWEVER, I was still charged. I have now been refunded but had to wait 5 days to get my $77 back

Definitely have not "gotU"
Attempted to book a service multiple times, with the app noting on the payment page it would time out after 4 minutes, yet would time out after seconds telling me I will need to call. I call customer service, and am told it is all app based so they can't help me book a tow. They mention I should continue trying, as it could mean that no tow trucks are available in the area (Sydney City) at the time. available regularly; I finally get through, and the money is taken from my account, and I then received a text saying they are unable to provide the service as no towing partners are in the area. I call back customer service to ask when a tow truck will be available, as I have paid and would like to receive the service I was paid for - being told they won't be able to provide a time, and can refund the money. I ask if the whole day is booked out, and they are unable to provide that information, nor contact the towing provider to confirm whether or not the service I paid for will actually be provided at any point throughout the day - the best they could do is refund me. They state an average wait time of under an hour on their website, yet this is clearly misleading, as it takes 90 minutes to book and pay for a service, to then be told it still isn't confirmed. Don't Use. It's a scam.
First call out they sent the service vehicle to the wrong address. They charged my credit card and asked me to re-book so I would incur another charge. When the service vehicle finally arrived to the correct address, the mechanic diagnosed the car as having a faulty battery and sold me a battery for a very expensive price. stage my car cannot be started, the new expensive battery can not be charged, and the only alternative is to tow the car to my mechanic. Which the mechanic offered to book at a hugely expensive price. I called gotU to discuss what my options were and the only solution they proposed was to charge me again for a call out fee so a mechanic could take the battery back and refund the price of the battery. Technician damaged the trim on my car
Technician came to jump start my Mini Cooper S. After jump starting my car, he closed the bonnet from the left side. In doing so, he grabbed the underside of the chrome headlight trim and caused it to break. My chrome headlight trim fell off immediately after he closed the bonnet. He apologised and tried to put it back on but couldn't since the attachments had snapped. Took over a month for someone from Allianz to even look into the problem. Then they didn't believe me even though I described everything as it happened including detailed photos.

Quick courteous service
Mechanic rang to confirm my booking within minutes, arrived in 15 mins. Changed my flat tyre very quickly and courteously answered all questions and even wrapped up my flat tyre and put it in my boot to get it repaired. Very impressive service!

NEVER using this service again!!!
When I paid for a tow truck it said 22 minutes ETA, then I got a text message to track the driver and after few attempts it said ETA 148 minutes. Tow truck finally came and it went well until we got our car back from mechanic and realised the tow bar cover of our car was missing. I called the mechanic first to check if they had the missing part and they explained the tow truck driver is the one taking it off to be able to tow the car. The only person that even touched it was the tow truck driver. My husband went to the dealer with the car and the driver didn't even inform him he had placed the part where he claimed. Then, gotu says they can't do anything because the driver says he placed the part there and he's not to blame. They want me to deal with their provider when I shouldn't have to, I paid gotu not their provider. Gotu should be responsible for their providers. NEVER using this service EVER again
I was charged two payments of $99 dollars for a lockout that occurred on the 9th of February. After the service was done I tried contacting GotU Roadside Assistance and nothing was done from inquiries. I have called them multiple times and they have not replied despite their "investigation" by an Administrative Officer.

Amazing Service - Highly Recommended

Double charging customers
I booked gotU service for Jump start and was charged for that service in the app. However, the mechanic told me I needed battery replacement and did not do jump start. So I paid for battery replacement as well. After he left I realised I’ve paid for both jump start and battery replacement.
I called contact centre and was advised that jump start fee is call out fee even though that service was not provided to me.
In gotU website on “How gotU works” page they say there’s no call out fee. It’s misleading customers..because whatever service you initially request for, they’ll charge that even if it’s not done (as call out fee) plus the actual service.

I'd just used the service today to get my car jump started.
1) Re-scheduling is done by first cancelling the job via web/app and then re-booking at that time.
After your booking, you will get a call from the serviceman if anything is up. For me, my serviceman couldn't get to me quickly because he was located in South Melbourne (while my car's location was in the Northern Suburb), and it being 5PM, traffic was heavy. Very impressed
I had a flat battery on a Saturday afternoon so I booked online with GotU. Within 5 minutes the mechanic called me to say he'd be there in about half an hour. He arrived when he said he would, was extremely knowledgeable and really pleasant and helpful. All sorted quickly and efficiently. Very impressed!

Not worth your time
This service is hopeless. I've tried a number of times to use the towing option. Sydney Metro based (north Sydney), normal business hours, and they NEVER have anyone available. You can't schedule an agreed time or even request next available. All they do is put an authorisation on your credit card - hence you don't have those funds available for 5 business days. Awful system, awful process. Steer clear!!

Dont know how this can be legal, how do you have the audacity to charge even when you cant confirm a service can be provided, and the lady on the phone telling me "you have to take the risk of losing your money again". Probably should lodge a complaint to fair trading for this one.
