Have had your 25 metre version for many years and been very happy with it. I have two questions: Does the 30 m version have more hose rewind problems -some reviews are not complimentary.
Also, can you provide advice for re-attaching the hose to the internal drum mechanism? My problem is that the hose has split at the connection point and now leaks excessively. Due to the strong spring, I am reluctant to "give it a go" without advice.
Purchase a better brand. These units are of a very poor quality generally and Coleman don't respond well to issues for units out of warranty even just by a month or two.

My holman 30m hose has been over extended (excited 5 yr old) and wont go back in. I've watched all the online videos telling me that it should still have sufficient movement to engage the retracting function but this one will not. Any tips? The unit is a month old.

I would just return it with your receipt. The old ones were very, very strong and reliable.

I haven’t that problem but I do sometimes need to pull it a couple of times to lock it in. Sounds lock the locking device is not moving in to place my hose u can pull it apart to see friends on how old it is
Mine was undestroyable but I gave it away. It was the amount of clicks you hear to get it to lock somewhere with the one click or two. I find crc fixes everything. If it is under warranty make sure you return it.

Hi Holman, my hose has retracted into the left side of the reel casing, as in beyond the black reel, and it is absolutely stuck. It must be wound around something. There is hardly any water in the hose. How can I release it? Thanks Beth
Sounds like the spring that sends it back and forth across the roll as it winds back may have broken too much hose one side. It needs to be pulled to try and release

Thank you I have tried that a lot! There is no rigidity in the hose so it just coils in the reel case. Is there a way to open the case?

We have a few left remaining in dry storage and installed one today to find the retraction not working.

Are there instructions on how to dis-assemble my 20m hose reel? The lock has stopped working and after reading post here, it would appear that the shaft or spring have broken. The Centre of the case flexes outward and the mechanism make a clunk each turn as it retracts.
The code on the green sticker under the RH cap is QC 07.

Not sure how you would attempt that. I would not try and change the tension it relies on a fairly large metal spring and I don't expect it would be readily adjustable. Might be a case of body building...

Read more it wont unwind the last turn on the hose or retract the last few feet depending on if you tighten to loosen the sprint.Please do not attempt to adjust the spring tension in these units. I do have a problem. The machine did not lock any more and I hade to take it apart. He or she is from my daughter. i fount inside a broken shaft. According to the brake of the shaft I ask my self the question is it me or was it zo when it was put to gather.

But you told me the brake mechanism can't be fixed. So why would he contact service if that is how you answer it?
I have a Holman 30. The problem is that we can pull the hose out but it will not stay out. ie. it retracts immediately so cannot be used.
