Excellent
This is a beautiful car inside and outside. I have the four cylinder and it could do with a bit more power, but it is adequate. Ergonomically, the car is near perfect, the controls are easily reachable and provides for great comfort. The centre console is easy to understand and is attractive. There is plenty of room in the back seat for 3 passengers. The car has a full-size spare and all the necessary tools are available for tyre changes.
Comfortable, quiet, spacious, attractive.
Boot is not as large as it could be and it is not very tall. Fuel economy is good, but not fantastic.

Overall i find the new accord a pleasure to drive. The features supplied from seat memory, self audio adjustment to road noise, gps/audio controls, general layout etc have been well planned. The exterior styling is bold and stands out whilst the interior is uncluttered, plentiful and above all very comfortable. Would I buy honda again? A certian YES
2008/09 model : Design, finish, quality above all competition in all areas. Comfort on long trips great. Fuel economy pretty good for a v6. Equipment levels better than competitors. Special features welcomed.
No dislikes but areas that could be improved to allow perfection are; interior height of boot, positioning of front/center drink holders.

Love driving this car, even though the steering might not be as direct enough to be sporty. Preferred the drive to driving a 2004 Accord (co. car). Love the V6 engine. Accept the auto box requires work after almost 200k.
Purchased the V6-L model a few years ago. The V6 is a beautiful engine, and with almost 200k on the clock has never needed the oil topped except for services. Quiet, safe and solid ride. Leather interior still excellent (condition/clean them every 6months). Styling is still ok. Quality paintwork - actually, quality throughout (...Read more
except for internal chromed door handles). The only poorly made components appear to be the internal chromed door handles. The chrome peeled of in chunks on 3 handles. The auto box needs to be reconditioned, but it's done 200k. Lastly, it uses 98 Premium fuel (bit $) but it's probably why the V6 is so smooth...

Sorry, I can’t answer that as this was my first Honda, so don’t know what previous models were like. I can say that I am still driving it 10 years later and it’s never missed a beat - and that includes driving Melbourne to Perth return. Still love it as it may well be the most reliable car I have ever owned and extremely comfortable for long trips. Hope this helps. I should add that mine is a Euro and not a 6 cylinder so maybe not the model you asked about anyway! Lol....

What fuel consumption should be expected in metropolitan usage?

G’Day Paul,
Bit late, but I kept a spreadsheet. Best I got was 6.98L per 100kms, worst 13L around town. (Albury). Speeding up to 110kms then diving off the access ramps doesn’t help the fuel economy that much.
Overall average was 10.34 on ULP 91 and 9.71 on ULP 95. (2012 2.4L Limited Edition)
Hi i have a 2009 2.4 Vti-L s. I get 800kms driving is from Epping to Mulgrave everyday inuding trips to shopping centers and kfcs.
good
