Retractable Hose Reel

Hi, My 30m 'retractable' hose is stuck and will not go in or out, kind of defeats the purpose of buying a 'retractable' hose. It is nearly fully out about 3m or so left on the hose reel, please help as i am feeling very dissapointed and frustrated in this product?

HI Mark,
The Hose Reel should retract full every time, so sorry to hear that yours is not. It may be as simple as a quick adjustment to get the hose re-aligned on the drum but we would need to speak with you to fully assess. Regardless we would love an opportunity to resolve this frustration for you.
Our team is available on 1300 900 617 to help at your convenience.

Hi Diana,
Sorry to hear this. We can definitely help out in getting this sorted for you. Its unusual for the ball itself to drop off, could it have been vandalised? Regardless it would be best to speak to our team on 1300 900 617 who will be able to advise on how we can resolve this for you.

Retractable Hose Reel

Hi Hoselink
the auto feed is not working properly on my hose reel it appears the belt driving the worm gear is stretched and not always engaging the worm-gear therefore the lateral feed is not always correct and bunches in one particular place jamming it up, whats the solution as you see it? Looking forward to your reply

Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Peter, sorry to hear you are having issues with your hose reel retracting properly. We don't generally have issues with the belt stretching. If the cog is in place and the belt is sat on this it may be that the belt has come off at the other end. If you contact our team on 1300 900 617 or email us at [email protected] we can look into this further for you. Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team

Retractable Hose Reel

Hi. Quite surprising no one has asked this... but can the end of hoseling hoses be attached to a pressure cleaner like normal hoses? Or does your special design mean it can only be used with your guns and attachments?

1 answer
Hoselink
Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Raff, thanks for taking the time to leave us your question. You definitely can use your non branded accessories with the Hoselink system. These will likely have a click on style fitting. If this is moulded on then you will need our click on adapter set which can be viewed at the following link: https://www.hoselink.com.au/?rf=kw&kw=2491
If the click on piece can be removed then it would either leave a male or female thread present in which case our tap connector or accessory connector would screw onto. Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team

Retractable Hose Reel

Hi.. i was advised to fully extend my hoselink unit, then let all the pressure out of the hose before retracting... Due to springs taking too much stress overtime. Do yous recommended this or will there be no issues!

Hi, I have always released the pressure the pressure in watering hoses and would recommend it for the HOSELINK Unit as well, hope this helps.
Robert

Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Justin,
Great question!
As a general rule we would recommend releasing the water pressure before retracting the hose. Typically not doing this is not an issue but some people may find that the added pressure from the water makes the retraction sluggish as the hose reaches the last few metres. Keeping the unit under continual water pressure, although not generally problematic is not best practice for the inner workings of the reel either.
So in answer to your question, turn the water off when you can, but if there are times you don't I wouldn't worry too much!

I need to mount my hoselink reel to a post. what size post is recommended and what depth should it be concreted in ?

2 answers
Hoselink
Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Bianca, thanks for taking the time to leave us a question. The post needs to be at least 105mm wide so the bracket fits on and at least 60mm in thickness so the screws are fixed into place securely. We recommend mounting the reel about 850mm off the ground so the hose is being pulled out straight so just ensure the post is deep enough in so it doesn't have any movement. Retractable Hose Reel

Can’t get thru on phone so can you help me please? I have an Auto Reel 40m 2595 which has worked fine for 4 years. However the auto lock has stopped working so it is in auto rewind mode all the time. I have to pull the hose out to full extent then put a heavy plant pot on it to stop it rewinding while I’m trying to water - not ideal! I assume the auto lock system operates by way of a ratchet which is stuck for some reason. Is there anything I can do to release it?

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your hose reel.

We've never sold a 40m hose reel with that product code, so are you sure the one you purchased was a Hoselink brand?

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like you purchased it from us from the information you've provided. Our hose reels are not the ratchet style system so we can't really advise the best solution for you, sorry. If you do find records of a purchase from us and want to resolve this issue, please email us at [email protected] and we can take it from there. Thanks so much for your time.

My hose has been pulled out more than it should and now won't wind back up. Any help?

1 answer
Hoselink
Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Kerry,

Thanks for letting us know and sorry to hear about this. If this has happened, we would suggest to go up to the unit, place one hand on top of it and one hand on the hose and give the hose a few short sharp tugs. Don't be afraid to pull with a bit of strength and the hose should start retracting back in. If it doesn't go back in, please contact customer service.

Kind regards,

Hi Marianne, sorry to hear your spray gun has broken. If you want to email through some information to [email protected] or give our team a call on 1300 900 617 we can look into this for you. If your Pope spray gun has a click-on style fitting which is moulded we do have an adapter so you can use other products with the Hoselink system. https://www.hoselink.com.au/?rf=kw&kw=2491 If the click-on piece can be unscrewed then our accessory connector would screw into place. I have changed my hose a few times on my hoselock auto reel so why are you telling customers it cant be done ? Just click the disk of the side unscrew the screws and the hose is just pushed on and held by a black lock clip with a spring that goes inside the hosepipe.
