Hi-Flow Retractable Hose Reel 3425 (25m)

Have had our unit for 4 years of trouble free operation. Great product. However the reel has started to noticeably squeak when being both pulled out and retracting. I guess a squirt of some non oily lubricant is in order but not sure where to apply. Thanks. Peter.

Hi Peter, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. So glad to hear you're loving your Hoselink hose reel. It sounds like you may just need to lubricate the o-rings on the elbow joint. This is quite simple. Please get in contact with our customer service team for further information as we are always happy to help. Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team

Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Les, sorry to hear you are having issues with the hose bunching on the one side. If the belt is still sat on the cog, does the black belt still feel loose? If so this would suggest the belt has come off at the other end which will require the casing to be opened. If you send us through an email to [email protected] or call our team on 1300 900 617 we can assist you further. Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team

What are the dimensions of the 15 meter hose auto rewind

I've got the 20m retractable reel but i assume the housing and retract unit would be same size for each. Roughly 50cm high x 50cm deep x 30cm wide. it then sits about 10cm out from the wall if mounted

Hoselink
Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Dianna, thanks for taking the time to leave your question. The casing gets larger for each hose reel unit as it has to hold the longer length of hose. The dimensions for the 15m unit are as follows:
H36cm x W23cm x D48cm
Mounted Hose Reel Dimensions - D58cm (when facing out), D23cm (when pushed flat against wall)

Retractable Hose Reel

Hi
I have two hose link auto retractable hoses. One purchased last year and the other a few years back
The old unit does not lock in all positions and seems a bit more tight when pulling out. Could you please advise on how I could probably open and fix if possible or if I need any parts to replace or only adjustment?.
Also I purchased a water blaster which broke at the manual valve joint. You did replace unit free with another brass model which however does not give a lot of pin point pressure. I would like to purchase a couple of spare nylon internal valve to replace myself as I find the broken unit a better performer.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon
Thanks
Samuel

Joyza, I have no idea. I would think not as the hose is bigger but I am not sure. Perhaps the garden centre or Bunnings can shed more light on this than me. Good luck.

Hoselink
Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Joyza, thanks for your question. Our hose reels are all internally connected and spring loaded during the manufacturing process so we don't have the casing separately. The casing on the retractable hose reels is only designed to hold the amount of hose it's pre fitted with. The only option would be to fit this to a manual hose reel that you wind up with a crank handle. https://www.hoselink.com.au/hose-reels/manual Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team

There is a hole for a lock. You need a lock with a long shank. Hoselink sell one but a lot cheaper at the reject shop

Despite the weight it’s actually pretty easy to remove. In fact I bought an additional wall bracket so I can use it at different locations. You may use a padlock to lock the reel to the wall bracket too.

Hi Julie,

Thanks for taking the time to leave us your question. Our products are manufactured in a number of countries including Australia, Taiwan & China.
Hoselink is a 100% Australian Family Owned and Operated Company, with Australian designed fittings.

As a company, originally we did manufacture all our fittings in Australia, however we were forced to move to China when our manufacturer was no longer able to produce Hoselink fittings for us. We do feel this matter to be a major disappointment to us all, but with our smaller order volumes we could not stay competitive in the Australian market if we had of continued manufacturing in Australia. We hope that one day we might be able to bring some of our manufacturing back to Australia.

My 25 metre hose needs to be pulled out 10-12 metres to get the water to flow. I have pulled it out and released it under control to no avail. I have also reverse flushed it as per your instructions, with no improvement. what would you suggest?

2 answers

Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Bob, thanks for taking the time to ask us a question. Firstly, can you please check that the Flow Controller on the end of the hose is fully open? This is a green fitting with a yellow lever. It controls the flow and can shut off the flow completely so can you firstly please check this is open and allowing the water to flow through? If you have checked this and it is open, can you also please check the hose for any kinks? I would also take off the spray gun and see if any water is flowing through up until that point? Can you also please check to see that there is enough water flowing from the tap? If you have checked all these things and they appear to be fine, then can you please email us a video to [email protected]? Kind Regards, The Hoselink Team

Thank you for your prompt response. My problem was easily resolved after calling your number. Your representative recommended I remove the Hoselink cover near the inlet hose. Upon doing so, I found a kink in the hose. It now works perfectly

Why is the water pressure so much less with your product compared when swapped with other hose ?

Hoselink O.Hoselink

Hi Janine, thanks for taking the time to leave your question. Are you comparing this to a standard garden hose as with any hose reel there will be around a 15% decrease in pressure due to the way the water travels up and around the system in various directions as opposed to a straight line with a standard hose? Other things you can check on your hose reel are that the Flow Controller on the end of the hose is fully open and not partly open. This is a green fitting with a yellow lever. It controls the flow and can shut off the flow completely so can you firstly please check this is open and allowing the water to flow through? If you have checked this and it is open, you can also check the hose for any kinks? I would also take off the spray gun and see if any water is flowing through up until that point? We have had our 30m hose link for about 4 years now and mounted as directed. This morning my wife cleaned a paint roller without needing to move the hose as it was just under where it was mounted, the whole lot fell and landed on her back.
Has there been any other mounting issues?

Hi Mike,
So sorry to hear the reel dislodged - I hope your wife is okay it must have been a shock.
In answer to your question, the hose reel bracket and screws are strong enough to support the weight of the reel. The only time we have seen issues is if the bracket has been mounted upside down or incorrectly installed - not saying that's what happened here but would love an opportunity to talk to you to find out why, prevent it happening again and see what we can do to get the reel back on the wall for you.
Please call through to our team on 1300 900 617 and they will happily assist.

Either the company is spending a fair chunk of it's marketing budget sockpuppeting on here or they're giving customers a big incentive to customers to get on and give glowing reviews. I mean 1222 reviews with the majority of them one post wonders who just happened to set a stock image from the internet as a profile picture? When almost every other hose company only has mixed reviews. Product review really needs to look into this or risk losing credibility.

Hey Dan,

I thought exactly the same about the reviews. I’ve actually just purchased two complete hose reels and I must admit, after having wasted money on cheap reels, the the Hoselink is worth ever cent.

Now as for you question as to why so many reviews, mostly perfect, it’s because after delivery you get a simple email review link sent to you. You get a link for every item you purchase, which is a little over the top I must admit. I purchased 8 different bits but only chose to do one review on the reel itself. As for the profile pic it gives you the option to upload your own or have one nominated, I chose the simple way. As for why so many reviews get submitted, well it maybe because they offer a $100 monthly drawn prize. But I think the $100 is a credit to buy more stuff.

Anyway, I hope this helped and I must admit I’m 101% happy with the item. Although in my review I did say that I would love a 40M version

Hi Dan,
Happy to say its neither!
The simple answer is that we pride ourselves on providing a quality product and in large we have very satisfied customers.
Yes we do provide customers the link to write a review but we cannot control the content, nor would we want to. As your comments show too many good reviews can be counter productive!
If you would like to find out why our reels are so will received and what the Hoselink difference is, please PM me your phone number and I will happily give you a call to discuss.
Kind Regards,
Vanessa
