No Response. Claim section of website / app doesnt work!
My second year with Huddle and first claim for a no fault. Got absolutely no response from Huddle- website picture upload didnt work, app is faulty. Finally called and kept waiting. Supposedly all agents were busy and hence left a 'call me back' and absolutely nothing. It has been a full working day!
Will be moving away from Huddle, to a real insurance company.

Not Trustworthy
Guys, I picked up my staff from a car accident and drover her to work and listened to the conversaition with huddle and it sounded like they we're asking a tonne of questions to avoid paying for anything. When I had an accident with aami car insurance, it was sorted so quick and no issues at all and the conversation didn't sound like they were out to get us. I would be very careful with Huddle. Pay a little extra and go with someone who will make life easy in times of need.

Car stolen in Melbourne - Took 3 weeks to get claim finalised and money in my account
I've never thought I would get a car stolen in Australia and it is quite annoying. The whole process from lodging the claim to get the money in my account took 3 weeks. It is actually quite simple, just make sure you have documents about the car, photos and even car service receipts. I was quite happy that the support is in Australia and that only one person becomes responsible for the whole claim. They are not super fast to respond, but you have to be patient because they will respond at some point.
The reason why I gave the review is because it seems that only the bad experience ones post in this website.

Highly recommend
Very happy with Huddle Car Insurance. We lodged a claim and within hours it was being actioned and within two weeks our car was repaired. No fuss, hassles or follow ups required. The process was very smooth and easy.

Hopeless Roadside Assist Model
First time I used roadassist my car got stuck I suspected it ran out of fuel as my fuel guage had been playing up. Call Huddle they only want to give me one shot I.e. send someone with fuel or tow truck, if i choose fuel and it's not that they will not call for a tow as they have already provided me with roadside assist. If they call tow truck they will tow to my place of residence. In conclusion there is no mechanic or diagnosis physical roadside assist available the driver does diagnosis over the phone with operator and gets one choice of assistance only, I'm my case choose tow truck option or they pay for someone like uber driver to come with fuel.

Great Rates, Excellent Customer Service
Just wanted to give a shout out to Huddle Insurance as I've just had added 2nd car policy for my wife's car. Ive had my car insured with Huddle for 3 years now. Their rates are VERY competitive, and also have a reasonable policy for Learner drives (a key issue for us with a new learner in the family!) where you do not need to list them as a nominated drive at a hugely excessive policy premium. Yes their rates did increase after 1st year renewal, I just too out a new policy at a chaperons price rather than take up the renewal option. Even got ...Read more
Roadside Assist thrown in as classed as a safe driver! To understand the impact of L Drivers and other aspects of the policy, the team could not have been more friendly or helpful to guide me through the relevant areas so all was clear. One quirk is a multi policy discount is not automatically offered online, however when queried Tom was very proactive to correct his and update my existing quote . He also went through some of the options, advising how to handle low km options and changing the policy once our learner get's his P plates. Just super helpful and I'm super impressed! Over the last few weeks I rang Huddle a few times over various queries (we sold our car and had to transfer the policy) and the team were consistently friendly, engaging and helpful. Kudos Huddle! Of course the ultimate judgement will not be soley on cost or service but how Huddle handle a claim which is why I left of 1 star - luckily that day has not yet come but from the experience to date feel we will be in good hands!Similar opinion? Huddle.. a good first date, but it did not last!
BE CAREFUL AT RENEWAL TIME!!! ..Not normally one to share negative reviews, but I took out an insurance policy on my Mazda 3 last year... it was great, competitive rate and an agreed value of 11k. Just got my renewal through and it was set to auto renew, however on examination of the policy not only did my premium go up by $80 (I am a 52 year old driver, no claims, no accidents for the last 20 years, no demerit points for as long as I can remember... what you would call the 'perfect' car insurance risk).. so it went up by $80 AND the agreed val...Read more
ue (and I use the term agreed loosely as I was not part of this 'agreement') went down from 11k to 6k in the space of 1 year. So, to reward me for not claiming, they charge me over 10% more and cut my insured sum by 50%. I today cancelled, and found another company $100 cheaper and with an agreed value of 10.5k. Huddle you talked the talk, but unfortunately, you really are no different. I would expect more of these negative reviews to start coming through as most policies are new, and things seem to have changed at renewal time like they did for me... as they have not been around too long most are getting their first renewals. Very crafty, and of course, it masks what is a much larger increase if you put back the original agreed value. I will mention that the staff member was as confused as me but simply cancelled my policy. So, huddle.. here is one lost customer! July 20th 2022 Update: Another policy increased by over 25% After writing my last review my other policy renewal has just come in... up from $403 to $520 over 25% increase in the first year despite no claims, or other insurance events. Once again I shopped around and got several quotes over $100 cheaper, finally found exactly same cover for $130 cheaper. In fact contrary to what they say, I actually got a cheaper quote re-doing the quote with Huddle (not by much may I add.. about $30)... same details, same agreed value and same fixed KM's. I will say however that they did not drop my agreed value 50% like my previous car. Seems to me Huddle is OK for the first year, but as I mentioned before... watch out at renewal.Similar opinion? Policy came in at best price
Been with Huddle for over 2 years now had both cars insured fully at a great price. Now we only have 1 car, a Mercedes which proved to be expensive with other insurers but Huddle came in at a considerable price and we had the choice of Agreed or Market value. Never had any issues with them responding. Your well known established insurance companies have been quoting ridiculous prices and I think its time to give the newer companies on the market a chance to prove their worth dealing with.

RIP OFF, did an online quote, Agreed value very low
RIP OFF, did an online quote, same price as my current insurance, but agreed value much lower than market value even though i set it to its highest point at $6000 when market value on my Mazda 3 SP25 is $12,000, they had set the value to $4000 and insurance was only $50 cheaper than my current provider. No thanks

Expensive
Their quote for 1 car was $500 more than I currently insure 2 cars for with my current insurer. The quote for 1 car was also the most expensive I have ever been given for 1 car and more than it cost to insure when it was newer and worth 6 times as much.

Absolutely crap i would not recommend
Absolutely crap i would not recommend to anyone I'll be telling people I know to stay away. they can't even take a payment on a date that you ask. Instead they just keep trying to take money from your account on a daily basis and don't offer to fix it When a person gets a loan of $50 to get groceries so they can feed there kids before pay day and just to find there is no money there when at the checkout for the big fat cats at the top it's just greed and unprofessional the fact that every other business I deal with dose work with people. Happy with the price!
Recently joined huddle atfer shopping around for cheaper insurance. Very reasonably priced. Basically half the cost of what company I was using before. Very user friendly site. And love that I could add on road side assistance for only $5 extra a month!
