I requested a quote to replace the water Pressure Reducing Valve, at my home. Not an urgent job, but was happy with the prompt same day service and proceeded to pay the $132.00 attendance fee. (for which I now regret.)
The Plumber was on time and after a brief explanation a quote was given of $999.00 with an additional $49.90 fee for a certificate of compliance.
Luckily I had researched this prior to the quote, and had found the replacement part required on the Reece website for less that $72.00!!! I estimate Installation would be less than 20...

I have a simple tap leak in the kitchen. I had someone from Jim's plumbing attend to it. On his arrival, he did not properly inspect it and I was told it would cost me $700 to fix a simple tap leak. In reviewing the quote, I have noted that costs of installing the tap and disposing of rubbish have been included, despite the tap already being installed.

It is only a leak that needs to be fixed, and I do not consider this to cost nearly $700.00.

In addition to this I was required to pay 132 fixed call rate.

Please do not waste your time with this service.

Hose under my sink blew and we called Jim's on 9/8/21. They took $135 call out fee by Credit card. Guy came and said whole job including mixer was $1150 of which $350 was mixer and 60 minute job meant $800 labour. Plumber said we charge by job not time. Told him to take his call out fee and leave. Called local plumber and charged me $332 inclusive Gst which included the mixer, same one I had previously for 10 years. How many old ladies does this work on?

Adnan was a very delightful and professional young man. He was able to find the problem promptly and get our power back up and running. I was very happy with the quick response and end result from the company.

Sunday afternoon call out after the drains blocked up so bad poop water was coming out of both showers and the drain out the back. Laurence had it unblocked no problem, now the kids are allowed to flush the toilets once again.

Contact Jim’s plumbing they sent out Andrew C. Very polite respectful gentleman that explained the issues we had and how it can be fixed. Andrew took care of all our concerns and the issues we had with all systems go

I found my hot water service had exploded at the end of the day after work. I needed a last minute service call so I called Jim’s plumbing and they attended within 2.5 hours.
They managed to replace my hot water service and take the old one away that night.
They carried all parts required in their vans and were able to fix it with no delay.
The plumber that came to my house was very friendly and helpful

When you book them, they charge you a call fee of $134. When they come, they face you with a quote of hundreds of dollars and you have to choose between loosing the call fee or paying a huge bill. The last job costed me extra $300 comparing with another company, last year. Call somebody else. Jim's plumbing is a fraud.
