I live in the tropics so the aircon is on everyday. This unit cools the lounge room and for about a year it did it well. always maintained, filters cleaned, fins are still shiny and new. Then all of a sudden error message, electrolux technician came out and turned it off an on again then bugged out. error message returned. Given up. unit getting replaced with a better brand. thank goodness. Please kindly avoid Kelvinator or anything under the Electrolux banner, its seriously nothing like Nanas fridge from the 80s,

Installed unit 2 months ago, an error code (E3) showed on the wall unit and it ceased to work. (By the way it worked great prior to this error). I contacted Electrolux/Kelvinator and their representatives were very helpful and quick in organising a replacement part and technician to come in at no cost to me.
If your Kelv aircon ends up with a warranty issue, like in many of these reviews i see, Kelvinator will sort you out and have it working. Waiting to see how the warranty job holds out.

Bought these new Kelvinator 2.5kW and 3.5kW units from The Good Guys. So far very happy with the purchase. The aircons are very quiet, energy-efficient and cools the rooms very quickly even when the outside temperature is 40C. The 3.5kW unit is able to cool down our huge open-plan living area in no time! Just make sure you hire a contractor with a valid refrigeration license for installing these units. Also, when buying aircons always check the energy-star rating. Cheers!
