Good iron, terrible noice (>80db)
The iron itself is a great device, it works well especially on thicker clothing. The device does not work so well on thinner summer clothing as the steam makes the clothing too wet.
As a warning, as I did not see this in the review prior to purchasing the device:
A very big negative is the noise level, when the pump starts it will make a terrible noise > 80db. This happens when the device warms up and regularly during the ironing itself. The sales brochure indicated: "very quiet pomp". Which is of course relative, but miss leading. I have been in contact with LauraStar customer service, they indicated the noise level is normal.
I would not have bought the device if I would have known this upfront.
Purchased in April 2021 for $399.00.

LAURASTAR Lift White 2017 Model
It's not safe I have been badly burnt by the LAURASTAR Lift and it is cumbersome, despite the replaceable filter the iron still rusted out and started blasting rust all over clothing and also lots of water leaving clothing wet and it puts more wrinkles into the clothes than it gets out. It is a high priced item at $600 it started having all the problem just past 2-year warranty. You would be better of just buying a cheaper steam iron and just replacing it yearly to ensure you avoid all the problems of an aging iron.
Purchased in February 2021 at TVSN (TV Shopping Network) for $600.00.

Well my original problem is back for the third time
My lift plus is out of original warranty I've had to send it back to Brisbane twice now always for the same problem leaking all over my clothes
First time they replaced PARTS as it was in warranty and did not cost me
Then it leaked again after a short time so I contacted Anne and boy was she unhelpful I have told them so many times that my steam station is a lemon and should have been replaced in the beginning.

My complaint is the same
I use the iron 2 hours week, after five months - there is so much water you can’t physically iron your clothes.
The Laura star FAQ says water may be pooling between hot plate and the iron.
There is no instructions on how to resolve the issue

Quick and easy
So far so good . Have had it only a short time, but loveing its ease in ironing.
Still to learn its full capabilities .
A lot easier to handle than my old model. Love the fact that you can refill tank with ease and just continue ironing.

Laura star left is just awesome it’s nice and light no high steam station to use turns itself off after 10 mins only thing it doesn’t do is the ironing!!

Disappointed with Product
I bought the Lift. The iron drips water so my clothes end up with streaks of water. I am not from Australia. Just sharing my experience. Having read numerous reviews, this water drip is not an isolated case. With the iron costing so much more than an ordinary steam iron, l really wanted to enjoy a new ironing experience but that's not to be. I had the iron returned and bought a Philips.

Saving a lot of time.
We run a small boutique hotel and ironing is one of our least liked jobs. We used to argue about who was going to do the ironing. Now everyone is putting their hand up to do it. It’s quick and the quality is amazing. Very happy we bit the bullet and bought one.

Love it!
My iron works amazingly with all fabric types...effortlessly. Amazing results every time
Ironing features are perfect, I regularly iron all types of fabric and have not experienced any issues. I slip on the shoe for those extra delicate fabrics. Unit heats up quickly and I love the continuous ironing feature

LOVE IT
Totally in love with it - dont know how i survived up till now. Easy to iron any garment, from delicates to jeans. Wish I had purchased one years ago. I think my next purchase will be the iron & ironing board - image how easy life would be then.

Great when it works
Sadly I have had the product replaced twice under warranty. The first iron did not seem to get hot enough. The second stopped producing steam in less than 12 months of purchasing it
Although the staff are helpful it is disappointing that such an expensive product is not more reliable

Poor design
The product falls far short of the cost.
- Poor cable retractor ...very flimsy
- overheats and trips on regular occasions
- sole plate attachment poor design ..keeps falling off
- iron hose support flimsy and poor design
- iron overheats and is hot to touch
When the unit is working it's very good ....but doubt that it is adequately robust for long term use.

Perfect!
Love my Laurastar Lift! It works very well with all types of fabrics including silk and lace. It's very gentle on the clothing and does'nt leave any shine. Very satisfied with the steaming capabilities and easy to use. Makes ironing enjoyable. Cannot fault it. Highly recommend it. Should of purchased it years ago!

Great Product
It's a good product for a single guy like me. Would not recommend for family. I'm building my wardrobe so I want something more powerful in the future. Of course it will be LauraStar. It is much better than a conventional Chinese made iron which are complete rubbish. Only problem I want to buy a Karcher Steam Vac and Karcher has powerful iron and ironing board. "Made in Germany ".

Excellent steam unit. Love my Laurastar plus.
Excellent steam unit. Cuts ironing time by half. Could not use another type of iron..ever again. Ironing with steam is gentler on fabrics and I love the pulse setting. I have kept my original Laurastar in case of emergencies. I love it so much that I now do other people’s ironing and don’t mind at all.

Great service.
Bought the Lift+ May 2017, the iron start to leak after 6 months. The amount of water that build up in the steam iron just gush out when the button is pressed to iron. Got it service and after 2-3 months, it happen the same thing again. In September now the system start leaking again, so this will be the 3 time back to the service centre.
Bring it in today and the lady aware of my 3rd time visit for repair. She had to ring the head office to follow up, got my iron test by technician, confirm its faulty, got it exchange a new iron.
Highly recommend this brand to anyone. Service is good, the after sale is excellent.

When it worked it was great but I had so many problems with it .... Very expensive door stop ... John Lewis had demonstrated when it went wrong customer service was very expensive... Would love a iron like this if it really was reliable .. Problems with steam and cooling down to fill up again.

I am very disappointed with the quality of Laura Star. I use it 2-3 hours per week. Below please find the problems that I faced when ironing:
1) Water leaking everywhere when ironing, the clothes are wet.
2) The button of starter can't be switched off at all.

Disappointing
This is my second Laura Star iron, my first iron was fantastic, it worked perfectly for 10 years. I was so happy with the product I could not go back to a regular iron after the Laura Star. I bought the Lift +. It worked well until recently when the steam button has loosened and the rim of the iron is cracking. I have to hold down the steam button with two fingers to get it to work. I don’t iron more than once a fortnight and certainly not a lot of clothes. I’m very surprised that it’s “falling apart” - I’ve only had it for 2 1/2 Years. Very disappointed. Hopefully someone from Laura Star customer service can assist to get this right.

The best thing to do is call Laura Star in your state - they have 2 yr warranty. Mine would not retract after 2nd use!!! It was repaired recently & all good now, The service team are very helpful.
