Great value
I bought this to replace my 950XL & was tossing up between this and the A70 but decided on this as it has everything the 950XL has & then some unlike the A70. It is easy to use, has excellent front & rear cameras, the audio is great, apps run smoothly & game play is excellent. I can sync it with my LG tv with screen share & can even use it as a remote control for the tv. The battery holds charge really well and I can get up to 3 days of use(under normal use)before recharging it. What I like about it the most would be the power button/fingerprint reader. Some people have complained about its location but I have no problem with it being on the underside of the phone. As for cons, I can't really find any. This is one phone I highly recommend.

Smart phone with a smart design
I just recently purchased this phone for my partner. I asked her to give me a quick review. This is what she wanted me to share. The LG V30+ ThinQ smartphone and I love it. It is exactly what I’ve been looking for - love the industrial design, camera, light-weight, large screen, and dual SIM for when I travel.
I found this phone to have a superior camera lens with OLED display, which makes the images very vibrant. It has cool features such as the wide angle lens and Graphy where I can select the look and feel of the photo for the photo we are a...Read more

LG V30 NOT Audiophile sound as promised.
head phone jack doesn't output volume at a reasonable level. software inside phone limits volume depending on the ohms level the software sees. plugging into a preamplifier on my stereo is absolutely hopeless. it is so quiet, even when the volume on the phone is set to maximum 75. sound quality is appalling especially when the write-ups call it an "Audiophile Sound". Don't be fooled by reviews stating it's great. a complete dud for audio via MQA on Tidal.

Great Value
My Samsung J7 Pro (32 Gb) lack of memory was giving me problems so when I saw JB HIFI was offering a 128 GB LG Phone for $399 I decided it was time to retire the Samsung and after using the LG 30+ for past few weeks I am delighted with my choice.
Pros:
Gorilla Glass 5 Screen
Large 6 inch Screen giving 2880x1440
Crisp Screen ( 537 Dpi)
128 Gb Memory
4 Gb Ram
64 Bit Architecture which means you can run programs such as DJI Fly (for the DJI Mavic Mini Drone)
Dual SIMM...Read more

An absolute gem in the sound and value department!
Like others, I got this for 399. at JB Hifi. At this price its an absolute steal. The sound quality is top notch due to the built in ESS dac/amp - it amazes me that other 'premium' phones dont have high quality dacs like this. The rear power button takes getting used to and the volume buttons are a little too high to be comfortably used. Also, like others have mentioned, I find it easier to input typos using this keyboard. But all these are minor things. Coming from an OPPO, the charging is noticeably slower but so is most of the competition. The screen on the LG is great too. Its amazing how many people won't give other brands like this a look in. Their loss.

Buy of the year
Had an iphone x for work and this thing is much better. Amazing screen resolution. After 10 years of iPhone the menus are quite intuitive. Paid 399 at JB. Proves apple is a cartel rip off. only thing is keypad is a bit more prone to mis hits but ive got big fingers! Just cant believe how good the screen resolution is.

Great Phone with Performance
I recently switched from an iphone 8 to the LG V30+ . This is a seriously good phone. The build quality is excellent and the battery life is bullet proof. The screen resolution is crystal clear. I use the phone mainly for data and the hi tech camera. I have clients I speak to and the hands free is clear and LOUD :-) Sure its a 2017 model but it ticks all the boxes. Not to mention bang for your buck.

Not latest flagship smart phone but very good value
Bought this phone for $399 from recent JB Hifi sale to replace Moto g4 plus. Used a month now and very happy with it. The OLED screen is brilliant, 128GB is plenty of storage. Battery last more than a day. The overall build quality is very high. The only thing downside is the power button at the back, it's a bit not convenient when used with a wallet case, but consider the price point, can leave with it. Very happy.

A good piece of hardware
Many positives; excellent software stability, decent rear cameras, good amount of storage, no issues multitasking and no freezing, minimal LG apps, a tough and light handset, excellent price from JB Hifi.
A few negatives; lack of power button around the edge ensures you have to lift the phone every time (there is a knock twice feature for the display) which must have been an issue as the following years release (LG V40) has a button on the rear and the side, LG Bridge on MAC is a disaster so to transfer music & videos onto the phone you must u...Read more
se a memory card, auto-brightness has some issues adjusting, loud speaker not really that loud, front camera resolution is low. Other things to consider; the P-OLED screen has great resolution but the blue tinge when the display is angled away from your eyes does take some getting used to, some microphone anomalies have your callers asking you to speak louder. I will consider the LG V40 for my next purchase based on the positive experience I have had with this handset.Purchased in May 2021 at JB Hi-Fi for $499.00.

Just a bit short of excellent
This is the best phone I have ever used. The screen size is perfect. Screen quality is good. The software is ok, sometimes there are minor hiccups and scrolling has some lag. Wireless charging is a bonus. This phone is really thin and light. I don't feel it having it in my pocket. Battery life is excellent but I feel it comes at a cost of very aggressive ram management which results in delayed notifications.

Moisture has been detected from the USB port
This phone has a very sensitive USB port which can be easily damaged and will not last more than a year-and-a-half one rainstorm brings down your phone permanently and it is very difficult to replace the USB port is over $100. You can get this phone wet however the USB port will sense wetness Forever After and you will not be able to use the phone do not buy this phone do not buy it from Sprint do not use Sprint. Before I got it wet it would also give me warnings about slow charging from chords that I would buy on the internet I see all this is on purpose by LG to make the phone useless after a year-and-a-half.

Great phone at an excellent price
After a lot of research I decided to purchase this phone based on the reviews, functions & price over an A series Samsung, even though it is acouple of years old. I have apple imac & considered getting an iPhone, but couldnt justify the price for a phone around the same vintage as this.
I've had the phone for over a week now & I have found it to be great.
Aside from having a google account to transfer from my old Samsung the LG mobile switch is fantastic. It allows selection of specific items to transfer.
128GB is plenty for me as I genera...Read more
lly use a phone as a communication device, an occasional camera & rarely for music or movies, so I dont need a lot of storage. The bonus with this phone is that, if necessary, memory can be extended to 2TB. The 6" screen is slightly larger than I'm use to, but at a pinch I can still use it single handed for texting & media. Touch sesnsitivity is accurate & customisation of the screens & apps, in particular the floating bar, is fantastic. So far I have had any issues with an of the apps I use.Purchased in July 2021 at JB Hi-Fi Online Store for $399.00.

Good, but not great.
Overall the phone was good value, especially considering the deal we got it for. The camera is really good, but sometimes the camera app fails, which is really annoying when you want to capture that perfect moment. Also, there is no night mode. Build quality is good, so is the display. The occasional hiccups here and there in running the OS during daily operation but nothing excessive.

Mobile Phone LGV30
I brought this phone 7 months ago from celletel.llc and the screen froze yesterday, could not even make ooo calls. I rebooted it back to factory settings and still does not work. Contacted the seller and they will not do anything about it. Do not buy from this company celletel.llc as they as not good with warranties. I have wasted my money and will never buy from them again.

Great smartphone, 128GB, 2 sims, great price
Great smartphone, 128GB, 2 sims, great price.
I like LG smartphones, they are waterproof, great price/quality ratio, 2 sims, the only downside is that the battery capacity could be better. That's not to say it is lower than other modern phones. Great sound quality on headphones as they have a headphone amp. Who else does that?

Underrated phone!
The camera and video capabilities are inspiring -- especially when using gcam. No issues to report yet after a month of use. Great battery life, responsive performance, nice display. I'm glad I tried this instead of paying substantially more for other phones with similar specs..

Disappointing battery life and no LG support
There is so much to like in this phone
Thin, light and robust
Good camera
Always on display
And of course LG's double tap to turn on the phone
But the battery life is disappointing - Battery falls to 70% in only 6 hours even if the phone is unused! Throw in 2hours of listening to Bluetooth connected music and battery is less than 50%. Two longish phone calls and a top up charge is required to get to the end of the day
Then there is the pain of setting it up - The LG WiFi transfer app does not work. It works on the old phone but not on the V3...Read more

Stylish mobile phone with good features
This phone is heavier than the LG G4 which I used to have, but the screen of LV V30+ is larger than LG G4. LG V30+ has a very smooth touch, front and back, very stylish and pretty. I always worry that I would drop it and break it or scratch it. I would suggest other people to get a phone case if they consider to get this LG V30+. I have ordered a phone case from ebay. The sensitivity level of this new phone is high. In other words, it responds very quickly. The fast charging feature is wonderful. The internal storage 128 GB is huge. I can take ...Read more
more and more photos, and record lots of videos. I am happy with the quality of the camera as my photos taken at night time are very clear. The Always On display function (time, date and percentage of battery) is a bonus. It is excellent and super convenient, even though it would consume a little more battery. Overall, LG V30+ is a very decent smartphone. The only thing I do not like is that I cannot use the google assistant without unlocking my phone. Unlike my old LG G4, unlocking the phone to use google assistant is unnecessary. For this reason, I give it 4 stars.Purchased in February 2021 at JB Hi-Fi for $479.00.

Great deal, great phone
Pretty good build overall, lots of features and cool wide angle camera. Its responsive and as quick as you'd need for a daily. The quality feels good and battery lasts for 2 days with moderate use. Only issue is finding screen protectors ect as most places do not stock them.

I have just, very very recently, purchased the LG V30+. I was wondering wether phone cases for the V30 also fit the V30 plus? I can't find much info. Thanks.

Not sure. Plenty of cases available on ebay. Look there you will find out fairly quickly
Ok thanks. I'm leaning towards thinking that they do, because when you search LG V30+ cases on Google, there are either LG V30 cases showing up, or on Amazon or eBay it says LG V30/LG V30+ case. Idk...
Try Mobile Mate or Amazon Au. I believe both phones are similar in size!
