Galaxy note are better than S series
Samsung phones are all reliable. I had this Note 8 for an year. No problems. Good quality camera and screen. Dropped it a few times still did not break. I had silicon protector on it though. Handles multi apps at the same time very well. Best thing is that it is still in demand. It sold so quickly on ebay at good value.
Purchased in December 2021 for $750.00.

Brilliant Phone
Samsung Note 8 is a fantastic smart phone and it is effortless to use. Graphic display on camera is high quality. They do need to work on battery life though.

easy to use but feels the effect of time
It is a great phone to use. However I have had it get it repaired after the first 2 months as the hardware froze on the machine. 2 years in and the charger only works half the time

Great phone until you get "moisture detected".
The note 8 was a great phone. It was on a 2 year Telco plan and as soon as contract ended and out of warranty the phone experienced a "moisture detected".
I can safely confirm that the phone has never been near water or dropped in water. The phone will not charge with "moisture detected". However, while leaving the charger in and turning the phone off and on again it will charge. If I remove the charger and replug then it won't.
Wireless charging works (tried with my spouse S10), tried different charger, ports etc... and still have the error....Read more
I also witness a friend who has a new S10+ and within the month he had the same issue. I thought he was unlucky, although I doubt it now that I have experience the problem and it is common. Very unhappy after 2 years. My previous iPhone 5 lasted longer, upgraded to Samsung as I heard many good things... otherwise I would of given phone a 5 star.Purchased in February 2021 at Optus.

As per my review, there is no moisture or has it been in contact with water. There is obviously a glitch/error as the phone charges normal after turning off and on again.KathSamsung
I understand that you may not have exposed your device to water, however as the issue still persists, it would be best to have your Samsung Note8 assessed by our technicians.

First Time Galaxy Owner, Last time Iphone User
Having owned the Galaxy Note 8 now for almost 3 years i feel it hasn't aged a bit, besides the battery.
Back in Late 2017 I was looking to get the Iphone 8 Plus but doing some research the Galaxy Note 8 spiked my attention so i gave it a go. The camera build quality is excellent it takes surprisingly clear shots. 4K and 60fps video's look great especially on a TV and computer, front camera quality is good. I was excited to extend the storage with a micro sim card and now dont have to worry about deleting videos and music to make storage spa...Read more

So far the best Samsung Galaxy I've used. Faster and more responsive than Samsung Galaxy s8+. The extra memory is a God Send and really lets the phone multitask perfectly.

Highly recommended mobile phone
Being a first time Galaxy Note user I'm now converted to having a stylus/S-pen with any future phone.
The Camera takes fantastic shots & video's that look great blown up on a laptop or TV, as well as when sharing on the Note8s large screen which it's only let down being the battery life when ran at high brightness which you will need to see it well especially outdoors in the sun which will drain the battery fast though have never had phone go flat when fully charged over night, the cameras flash is great at night though night pics are never tha...Read more

Great phone, the battery should be more powerful
Samsung continues to produce great phones, but their draw back is the battery is not removable. In phones with removable batteries you can just buy an additional battery or two and always have fully charged spare ones with you.

My whole life in the palm of my hand!
I mostly upgraded for the camera, & I wasnt disappointed!! Amazing quality! Both day & night. Being able to slide the pen out & make notes straight on the home screen is so handy at work & for every day memos in general. In 14 months I've never had an issue, & I'm pretty clumsy with it! I've set the display brightness to auto adjust & have the blue light filter on & am noticing less headaches then with my previous model.

What a blight on my life!
If only one could buy a phone that simply did its job! And for goodness sake, why no instructions?
Black on black controls as usual, and that makes it difficult to begin with, and how are we supposed to somehow automatically know that one has to touch and then run finger up to answer a call? If we didn't need a mobile phone for when we are away from home, I would have nothing further to do with them
Conclusion - rotten product.
Please, for goodness sake, just make a product that is easy to use, with easy to see controls. We don't need a camera or Google or fancy aps, and we would prefer a phone that doesn't report on our movements. But it appears there is no such product on the market.
