Installed these fans and immediately above the 3 speed there is a clicking sound. What is the best way to sleeps with this and fix it? My husband thisnks it’s the plastic dome above the blades. I believe it is a balance problem?

Customer S.Lucci Air

The issue could be that the screws that are in the ceiling canopy of the fan, holding the fan to the ceiling are loose or have not be screwed into an appropriate mounting bracket in the ceiling. If this is all tightened correctly and in an appropriate mounting bracket, then it could be a balancing issue and this can be fixed by using the balancing kit supplied with the fan. if you still experience an issue, please contact Beacon lighting Warranty Department on 1800 602 243, Debbie - Beacon Lighting Customer Service

Hi,
I have a Lucci Futura Dimmable LED Ceiling fan. I bought from Beacon Lighting. The light or fan won’t work. I changed the batteries in the remote. It has an isolating switch. Please advise? We purchased the fan under 2 years ago.

Hi Wayneo,
Thank you for your question, my recommendation would be to contact our warranty department on 1800 602 243 and make a warranty claim for this fan as it would still be under warranty and the department would then arrange for a technician to come out and have a look and they will repair/replace.

Hi Ahmed,
Thank you for your question, if the fans have just been installed, the would still be under warranty, therefore my recommendation would be to place a warranty claim in for the fan that is not working, you can find a warranty request form on the Beacon Lighting website or alternatively the warranty department is available on the following number 1800 602 243. I have a luccie fan/light which stopped working not long after 2 years old. The receiver totally died not communicating with the remote and eventually stopped all together. The receiver unfortunately is hard wired into tha fan so I will need an electrician to replace it. Is it work just getting another receiver or just buy another fan? Is this likely to happen again? If so I would like to know that I can replace the receiver myself in a newer model.....

Hi Leona, thanks for your post and I'm sorry to hear about your receiver. If the receiver unit has failed, this can be sourced though your local Beacon Lighting store. The store can provide a costing and availability. I would recommend sourcing the part because it will be more cost effective than purchasing another fan. Hi. I have a Futura Eco 52" fan/light t5 22w I bought from Beacon Lighting sku code 210873. The issue I have, is that the globe failed after 5 years. I bought replacement globe. Only to find out didn't work when fitted. Checked to make sure it was ok, by fitting it into another working fan in another room. Whilst the light doesn't work the fan still does. Didn't make sense. So I checked to see if there was a fuse in the housing. Couldn't see one. Is there a fuse somewhere in the unit that may have gone? I'm trying to figure out whether I need to replace entire fan /light at great expense or could it be something quite simple that can be fixed on the spot, like a fuse or whatever. Hi, the issue with your fan could be that the ballast has failed and needs replacing. This is the square or round "box" in the centre of the globe. This can be purchased from any Beacon Lighting store and the SKU number is 210006, Debbie - BL Customer Service

Purchased the ballast from Beacon Lighting as suggested. The store didn't have in stock when I went in but had it ordered for me. Had it within a week, so all good. It proved quite simple to replace. Didn't require an electrician. The light works fine now. Thankyou Debbie for your prompt reply. Steve J

I have the L D - 140129 L - T5-WH ceiling fan, how can I remove the lamp shade to replace the light globe ?

1 answer
Lucci Air
Customer S.Lucci Air

Thank you for your question, to remove your glass, A- What you need to do is with one hand, hold the metal part above the light and with the other hand, turn the glass only in an anticlockwise direction, about a 1/4 of a turn. Sometimes due to the glass expansion (due to the heat from the globe), the glass can stick, so you just need to give the glass a tap in the anti-clockwise direction and it should turn. Hi Lee, the issue could be to do with the receiver unit of the remote which is located in the canopy of the the fan. The only way to verify this is to get an electrician in to look at this. Depending on the fan and remote you have, it will have at least a 12 month warranty on it so if you contact our warranty department on 1800 602 243, they can come and have a look for you, Debbie - Beacon Lighting Customer Service

Hi Dylan, can you tell me the exact fan you have as if the light was an add on to the fan, then there maybe a part that can be purchased. If it is a fan like the Futura range of fans, then unfortunately there is no cap/cover to replace the light on these fans. if you could be ba ck to us at [email protected] with the exact fan, I will be able to advise correctly, Debbie - Beacon Lighting Customer Service

Hi, I have purchased 4 of these Lucci ceiling fans. Recently the light failed to switch on, on two of them so 50% fail rate. I replaced the bulbs no luck. The ceiling fans still work just no light... also paid for an electrician to come out and it seems to be an issue inside the unit itself. Does anyone have a solution to fix these. I'd prefer not to have to replace all these units...

Can you wire the aifusion DC fan LED light separate to the fan, Ie I do not want to use the remote for the light function ? Prefer to use wall switch

Hi Shaun,
Thank you for your enquiry, all our DC fans need to be controlled completely via the remote control provided, you are not able to separate the light to a wall switch, they need to be installed as per the instruction manual that comes with each individual fan.

Hi, I bought two Lucci Futura fans with lights and with remote controls added. The lounge one started to get slightly noisy and then I noticed it didn't work on full speed but as it was rare that I needed full speed I left it without any other problems noticed. Now, 6 months later the second fan in the bedroom has done the same thing, works fine except no full speed and it's slightly noisy. Both fans when you turn them off slow down in silence so the noise to me seems more electrical. Is this likely to be the remote receiver ? Thank you !

More a statement than a question. OK, my fan is out of warranty. Having said that it has buzzed since it's installation. Yeah, yeah ripple filter. Does the ripple filter allow it to have all speeds, in the right order (Medium is faster than High). I'm away from home a lot for work and when I get home the last thing I feel like doing is running around sorting stuff that should be right from the get go. My sister has a fan installed in a granny flat which uses the same power and guess what no buzz. Haven't got around to replacing it. P's me off every time I turn it on.

Hi Robertino, the ripple filter has nothing to do with the speed of the fan. In relation to your sisters place, you may use the same power company however the signal that the power company sends may not go to her house, it has to do mainly with the type of hot water system that is used in the house and the signa lthat is sent for off peak power usage. Is the noise you have only in the afternoon/night time or is it all the time? In relation to the speed, there appears to be something wrong with the fan. If you could PM us your contact detail along with the state you are in and the SKU number of the fan you have, I will get a representative to contact you to discuss this further, kind regards Debbie - Customer Service

Hello Debbie, as I explained in my first message my sisters residence is a granny flat at the rear of the house in which the fan is installed and hot water is gas in both places. The noise is there at all times. What is the format of the SKU number? I have various numbers but not sure which one is relevant. I'm a NSW resident. I don't have the receipt for the purchase of the fan. Where do I PM without having to go through the whole explanation again, regards,Robertino

Hi, I have 6 Futura Eco fans that were installed late 2012. Two of the most operated fan have been progressively turning slower despite the motor apparently trying to drive. Yesterday the most used fan started emitted acrid smoke (presumably the motor has failed). Can you please provide advice on the following:
1) Had the fan failed with the room unoccupied or occupant asleep, is the fan motor failure likely to cause a fire?
2) What protection against overheating and fire is incorporated into the fan design?
3) Given that fans have less than 6 months actual operation (only operated intermittently during summer), and one third are already faulty, what guarantee is there that remaining fans will not suffer similar failures once they reach similar operating life?
Thanks, Tim

Futura Eco 1320mm

Hi,
I am having trouble with one of my Lucci ceiling fans / lights. The problem is NOT the hand held remote control, as I have replaced the battery and then swapped the hand held remote control and with one in another room. So the remote control is NOT the problem.
The fan and light is on. The remote control will not turn the fan or the light off. The only way is to turn off the switch at the wall.
The problem must be in the remote control receiver in the ceiling fan. Where is the remote control receiver for the ceiling fan located. And what does it look like. Just want to see if it faulty compared to another ceiling fan in another room.
If I need to replace the remote control receiver in the ceiling fan, am I able to install this myself. Is it easy to install, or does it need an electrician. ? cost of an electrician to do a 2 minute job.
Thanks,
David.

Lucci Air
Customer S.Lucci Air

Hi David,
In relation to your above question, it does sound like it could very well be the receiver of the remote unit, these are located in the canopy usually, however you would require a licensed electrician to take a look at this for you and to repair/replace as only a licensed electrician would be able to diagnose the exact problem. Should it turn out it is the receiver unit, you will need to purchase a complete remote control kit as the receivers are not sold separately. Kind Regards, Tina -Beacon Lighting-Customer Service
