Best car I have bought so far

published

I have just recently purchased the Mazda 3 Maxx Sport hatch. Its very optioned including blue tooth, 6 stacker, in built GPS with where is maps. So far out of a tank I get between 400 and 450 out of a tank.
Small, options, fuel economy, and fixed price service
All service departments are the same, appretices working on your car,

Have had my Mazda3 Maxx Sport for a year now and I still get a thrill when I get into it. Interior noise is the Achilles Heel of the Mazda range, but it's not excessive; it's just that everything else is so refined that it's noticeable. Nothing has gone wrong (but then, nothing ever went wrong with the Mazda 2 I traded in at 75,000 kms, so not a surprise).
Brilliant fit and finish. Great drive, excellent 5-speed auto. Luxurious feel & high equipment level. Comfortable seats. The dealer service is exemplary.
Sound deadening could be better.

Best Value for Money

This website has really helped us in finding this right car. We were out looking whole day Saturday and literally went to all manufacturers barring few (who we hate). But Mazda's turn came in the evening and it was our last stop. We almost ended up buying Mazda 2, but in the end went for Mazda 3. And what a value for money this car is. This was our first experience with Mazda and wont be last. Excellent car. Value for money. Our Parramatta dealer gave a good deal.
Good and reliable car, good plastic, excellent quality
Cruise control can be more accurate. It overshoots on slopes.

I like the car, although I didn't choose it - my sister and dad did (a long story). I can't fault it mechanically, but I hate that the boot is smaller than my last car, and the seats don't go down flush, so that when you do cart furniture or big items, it can easily damage the back seats - but what's the point of being able to put the seats down if you can't use all the extra space without doing damage! It's got great power, and seems ok on the petrol!
nice zippy car
small boot, and seats don't go down flush

It is a cute little car that gets you from a to b and has a big boot which is good for shopping or for a mothers taxi, to carry a pram around as well asw just the daily or weekly shopping whichever suits you most. I believe this car is a nice safe and good looking car for mums with kids even for those with children that are newly born. This is because one of my friends has this car and she has a new born and a daughter aged three years old, and I have travelled within the car with them and both children were very safe. The interior is very comfortable and looks good.
great colours cute adorable awesome new car smell big boot nice steering

The best on the market in this category. The latest is even better than the last, which was tops. Great car for the price range. Fit and finish comparable to the euro's. Fuel economy is reasonable for a spritely motor, would be improved if the car was furnished with a 6-speed manual gearbox. but be prepared for a fight from Mazda if you want anything fixed under warranty. The Mazda "Zoom Zoom" stands out.
Fit and finish is great for a car in this price range, very comfortable, Nice Design, good power, practicality and presentation.
Engine noise, Lack of drivers leg room.

What would cause the power steering pump to fail in a one owner 2012 Mazda skyactiv luxury sedan, which has driven less than 19,000 kms. This vehicle has had all appropriate services. The cost of the pump was prohibitively expensive at over $1500 plus labour.

Hydraulic power steering fluid can leak from worn or damaged hoses and failing seals. When enough fluid is lost, the power steering pump can overheat or wear out prematurely, resulting in a loss of hydraulic pressure and failure of the power steering system.

This vehicle was recently serviced and still had the power steering pump failure. I realise it is a 7 year old vehicle but has not done more than 19,000kms. Mazda Australia was not interested though I've read on forums that there has been problems with power steering in the past. We also needed a new battery at over $300 for the I-stop feature, which only ever works if the battery has 100% charge. Then the 80,000 km service. It was a very expensive week all up! Disappointed in Mazda!

Thank you for your answer!

I currently have a 2008 Mazda 3 Neo Sport. Absolutely love my car but after 5 years ( of perfect running) I'm feeling the need for an upgrade. I'm looking at a 2012 Mazda SP25, with leather seats, sunroof etc, all the goodies. Anything I should be looking out forin this model? My current Mazda hasn't skipped a beat, even with lots of k' s put on the clock every year. Cheers
