4.5 hrs on hold - complaint made, no response
Needed to extend policy as trip longer than expected, but can only do this over the phone. Spent 4.5 hrs on hold while my position in the queue changed from 7 to 2. That's processing about 1 caller an hour. Made a complaint, waited 5-10 working days, then get an email saying they tried to call me, but I've had no missed calls. Now waiting again.

Paid our claim quickly staff were very helpful. Our travel agent delayed our claim by not providing the correct documents. But when lodged payment was made in 5 working days

We have been using Medibank Private for over 16 years for our private health cover and all our travel insurance needs, because they have covered our claims when we really needed them. Their staff have been really caring.

Not Specifically Medibank but AHM which is owned by them.
Terrible Service, I purchased their travel insurance on the phone and was informed by 2 people that their policies cover certain things we need to be covered. Next day telling people about my policy, they were skeptical and didnt believe it covered those medical requirements. So I called again and was put on hold for 30 minutes and when I explained my situation, they told me that I was misinformed and that my policy did not cover that certain medical. I was pretty annoyed and I asked if they could anything about it and the only thing they offer...
Read moreed was to cancel my policy, not give other alternatives or honour what both their employees told me. AHM and Medibank are under the same company and would have same problems and I believe you shouldn't choose either travel insurances as they either misform important details or dont allow you to claim anything due to their update 'PDS and policies'. Would not recommend and I will not be using their services anymore.- Value for Money

Know better, choose better.
The quality of attention given to our claim was excellent and was courteously managed. My husband contracted a near fatal infection whilst overseas, which has left him seriously disabled. The result of our claim will assist with recovery and mobility needs.

82 year old left for 2 days with broken hip.
My Dad fell and broke his hip in Singapore. So far he has sat for 2 days in a Singapore hospital with a broken leg on painkillers whilst Medibank duck shoves with the hospital over their commitment to pay. On his certificate it is printed they have accepted his age. Disgraceful. He should have checked these reviews before purchasing.
