Had to pay$239 for a 5 min quote. He left his boots on and stood on our couch. Then the quote was 3 times what others quoted and had a disclaimer to charge more of other things are found. Very dodgy business.

Aggressive
The fellow who cleaned my air conditioner was lovely and did a great job.
The company however, they are awful. They took my card details to bill me on completion then a week later I receive a very aggressive email demanding money or court action will be taken - one week and I was told it was sorted! Disgusting attitude

Hear the name Danicon or whatever name they go by....RUN!
I was charged $275 for the part and fitting that took a whole 15min, I googled the same part and it was $47.95, disgusting, I will be contacting consumer affairs, oh and that's not including the $239 call out fee and I only live nearby them... Thieves!!!

I do not recommend this company
Called this company and got a callout at a cost of $239 to assess the fault in my broken central heating system.
Technician advised the fault with the heater was a faulty ignition switch, but would have to wait until the office opened at 8:30 am to see if the part could be sourced. He then left the property. He was at my property for less than 15 minutes.

e system (note, this is something I should not have had to do as I was already paying Danicon for the service) to determine if a universal part could be sourced to replace the faulty ignition switch. I was then contacted by their customer service team (not the technician) to advise that a universal part could not be used and that I would need to replace the heater furnace at a cost of $2530. I asked at the time of this call if any or part of the $239 fee already charged would come off the $2530 and was advised no. I subsequently decided to seek an additional assessment and quote from another company. The 2nd company, charged me a call out fee of $69 dollars which would be deducted from the total cost, should I go ahead with repairs. The 2nd company assessed the system and also came to the same conclusion that it was a faulty ignition switch, however, they advised that a new ignition switch can be replaced to my current system and the system does not have to be replaced. This will save me over $1400. The service that this company provided is not of acceptable quality and I am of the view the $239 service fee they have charged was excessive for the assessment and incorrect advice I have received. Whilst I do believe it is reasonable for companies to charge a call out fee, it needs to reasonable for the job undertaken and I don’t believe in this situation I received value for money. Called this company and got a callout next day at a cost of $239 to clean the heater and diagnose any repairs required. This was after I spoke to a gasfitter friend of mine who unfortunately lived hundreds of kilometres away and indicated that one of two issues may be responsible for the fault being experienced.

found. He also disabled the heater. The technicians office called me two days later after sending me the quote. When I said I wouldn't take up their offer saying the price quoted was excessive, they said "you will have to pay for another call out ($239) if you want your heater back together". As it turned out, all the heater needed was a clean. Turned out I could do it myself being reasonably handy and these people wanted well over $700 to do the same thing.2 comments

There is nothing further you can do or discuss. In my instance, a second opinion sought from a straight-talking, genuine technician saved me plenty of money.
If only I got the facts in the first instance...

Terrible
Please do not use this company. I was ripped off and despite having a technician come to my house 3 times I still do not have a working heater, but I am $900 poorer! Had to cancel my credit card so they could not take anymore money off me. They need to be investigated by consumer affairs.

I needed a repair URGENTLY as it was the peak of Summer and my aircon did not work. I rang the company and explained I had a new born baby and they came the same day & fixed my unit! I found the parts prices reasonable and didn't leave my in debt! I received a receipt for my payment, a report and a warranty instantly via email. If you want to deal with a professional company I highly suggest using Melbourne Heating & Air-conditioning.

Could not be happier!
I contacted the company as I have heard they can come out the next day and desperate for someone to come out asap as my mother is an elderly and her heater had stopped working. Customer service were so friendly and polite and had organised someone within 2 hours. Technician attended (even took his shoes off) and fixed the unit on the spot. I received a follow up call from a member of the team to make sure we were happy.
I have had many poor experiences with serviceman in the past and can honestly say this company went beyond the service and I would highly recommend melbourne heating and airconditioning repairs to anyone who is seeking a fast response time. Thank you!

We had an evaporative air conditioner in need of repair and I contacted a number of companies for quotes. They generally quoted a call out fee of $137.50 plus a charge for each 15 minute interval after that. Danicon or Melbair quoted an all inclusive flat rate of $239 with prompt appointments that was meant to cover the cost of a technician attending the property and fixing the problem. When I queried why he didn't have the part with him, despite the company knowing the model of air conditioner we had before attending, he explained that he never carries parts as they are too diverse and was never going to be able to fix this issue on this visit. The subsequent quote did not include a credit for any portion of the previous call out fee and was almost DOUBLE the quote of another reputable company. I contacted the company directly to try and resolve this issue and they were unapologetic and did not reduce the repair quote or provide any credit based on the inflated call out fee we had already paid and the misrepresentation of the service.
