Cant dry anything
We mostly want to dry sheets but the dryer just tangles them and they never dry. Whenever we use the drier it lasts only 10-15 minutes before beeping an annoying error message that the contents are tangled. Weve had it for four months now and have rarely been able to dry anything successfully in it.

Model T1 eco 7kg. Tangles clothes and nowhere as good as previous vented Miele
There is no reverse tumble on this model which means that a duvet for example turns into a tight ball after drying - useless. Spoke to Meile customer services and technical department who offered no solution and seemed totally unconcerned. Persevered for past 2 years but will now ditch it and get another make.

Totally frustrating
QA PROFESSIONAL from Gippsland wrote the following review and I wish to paste it below as it precisely reflects my circumstances and opinion about this dryer. I very much regret having purchased it.

After 2-3 hrs on extra dry a load of only 2 KS sheets and 2 pillow cases emerges rolled into a big bundle and is still too damp to put on the bed. Same problem with a load of towels (I've given up drying clothes in the dryer as I have to put them on a rack to finish drying anyway). Miele sent a service man who changed heat setting and recommended adding 40 extra minutes of warm air but laundry still damp. My electricity bill looks to have...Read more
gone up with Miele and it takes me all day to do a load of laundry, plus all evening to leave it draped over the furniture to finish drying. There are other smaller annoyances, e.g. no buzzer to let me know when the machine is done, unclear operating manual, and lots of fuss and bother to keep filters and tank clean. (I bought a matching Miele washer at the same time and it is not much better). I am sadly disappointed and would love to replace both washer and dryer with another brand but I can't justify the expense of junking the Miele machines and starting over.Purchased in May 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances.

Best investment I've made
After many years of dreaming of buying a Miele heat pump dryer I purchased one I'm so thrilled with this dryer I've heard and read lots of negative comments the biggest problem people must remember is these dryers don't burn your cloths with too hot of heat setting your cloths are gently dryed keeping your cloths towels sheets in way better condition not stressing the fabric so they will last longer it's all about trail and error while learning how to best dry loads if you like fast drying hot damaged washing loads you won't like these machines if you care about your laundry this is by far the best investment you can make
Purchased in August 2021 at Harvey Norman for A$1,800.00.

Great replacement after lemon of a Samsung
I bought this dryer to replace a Samsung heat pump dryer that broke down after a few months. I have had no problem with it drying clothes compared to the Samsung that didn’t heat up from day 1. I love the fact that the Miele has an 8 star energy rating and I love the perfume pods. I just wish I had bought this dryer in the beginning instead of the Samsung as Samsung put us through hell. Only negative was Harvey Norman delivered a dryer with a crack in the door and we had to wait another week for another dryer. I feel this was not Mieles fault.

New Miele dryer very ineffective
After drying light loads for long periods (over an hour+) items are still damp. I’ve tried the extra dry cycle many times & this still occurs.
I’m aware there’s a cooling program at the end however when you open door mid cycle the items are not hot. When running the cycle for the full automated time the clothes are still damp.
This is my second machine under warranty as I thought the first one was broken.
Very frustrating.

Adequate
Claims "Perfect Dry" but always leaves my clothes slightly damp. The problem is compounded the more stuff you put in there. It is at least very gentle on clothes and easy to operate.

MIELE PRODUCTS
I am very pleased with my Miele Dryer.
It has 8 stars, which I find incredible ! Must save me lots of money.
And with the heat pump, no more having to have the back door open to let the steam out.
It does not over dry my sheets, so they are perfect for ironing.
I think all Miele products are wonderful, so I am gradually replacing all my white goods with Miele.

Glad I took the plunge!
I was nervous about purchasing a heat pump dryer given the luke warm reviews I'd read. I've found it to be fantastic. Gentle on clothing, quiet, no more condensation in the laundry. Linen dried on minimum iron comes out beautifully. With so many programs you do need to read up. I love the warm air function to just finish things off. It is an adjustment to my old F&P dryer which heated everything to a crisp, clothes do need a moment to sit and finish off. It's a great size and towels come out great. Overall, I'm using it more than I ever used the old dryer. I would recommend it.

Excellent dryer, gentle and efficient!
This dryer is very high quality and an excellent purchase when considering value for money. It is highly efficient and works perfectly every time! Sometimes it needs to be on slightly longer to dry the items totally but it is very gentle on all items and I am very happy with this purchase considering that it will be lasting us a very long time!

Initial problems but now brilliant
Had major problems machine not drying properly and having to restart continually
Cleaned the filters, well so I thought
Not even the service technician told me the the filter on the lower right hand side, covering the condenser had to be cleaned as well
Opened up the vented grill and discovered that the condenser Finns were covered in a thick fluf
Once cleaned, the dryer worked brilliantly
Couldn’t believe I missed
And reading the forums I wasn’t alone
Hasn’t stopped once and clothes dry quickly

Would not buy one
This drier may use less energy compared to other driers. However it takes more than four times longer than our previous condensation drier. It tumbles in only one direction so balls up the sheets, not allowing even drying. If it tumbled alternate directions clothing would not ball. I would not recommend this drier. I live in apartment so have to dry everything.

Economical and easy to use
Saved on energy, was quicker and gentle, less steam around and easier to use than our last dryer. Does make some noise and you have to empty it. Comes with an awful scent thing but you don't have to use it. Easy to empty lint trap. Easy to empty water holder but it can spill.

Great dryer
Not sure it lives up to it's "No Tangle" hype - a load of sheets has to be taken out and shaken a couple of times to make sure there aren't any wet/damp bits. Very good at de-fluffing towels. Very quiet and easy to empty the water reservoir. Not having to vent it to the outside was a major plus for us & the main reason we bought it.

Maybe a bit over-rated
We used to have a trusty Fisher & Paykel when we lived in the big city, but having moved to country and living OFF-GRID we faced the challenge of choosing a dryer that suited our needs and fit within our energy constraints.
Our off-grid experience might be relevant to some people who live connected to the state electricity grid and are minding their finances.
We considered purchasing either a standard tumble dryer with the normal heating elements consuming about 2.2kW or the new heat-pump condenser dryer which draw less power at approximately...Read more

Prefer my old Miele dryer
Yes, this heat pump powered machine saves electricity if you use it for the full cycle. But with my old dryer i used to put it on for 10mins, it would take the crinkle out and i'd hang up the clothes to air dry - and no need for ironing!! With this new dryer, after 30 mins, the clothes is still cold - and if i let it fully dry the clothes, they're so crinkled. I am not used to having to iron, but with this new dryer i have to. we are not trying to get our old miele dryer fixed and then we will sell this one.

clothes and then iron, then this machine is fine. we have a lot of miele products, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, vacuum cleaner.. we've always been big fans of the brand. But this dryer just isn't for us.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fabulous Dryer
Needed a large capacity dryer without air venting. Heat pump is definitely the answer. Took the option of having the drain fitted directly to the water waste, so no need to empty the drawer of water. The laundry does not steam up or get hot and the dryer seems to be very gentle on clothes. Have had it less than a month so too early to judge economical value, however I'm told I'll notice the difference. The clothes come out ever so slightly damp, however don't let this put you off. Once they hit the air during folding, they are dry. Sheets seem ...Read more
to ball up if only one or two - but never known a dryer not to. Easy to use the programs and touch screen. Has every program you could want and there's even a light inside the drum! Very easy to collect the lint. Miele is at the pricey end, but you get what you pay for and it will last years. I'm loving my new dryer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
