Worst experience ever
Currently 3 months and still ongoing. My pensioner parents bought a few Miele applications for their kitchen renovation and the rangehood just seemed stuck on 3rd/highest setting and made a dreadful amount of noise. Had their technician out 3 times to date, a number of missed appointments and never got follow ups as promised. Personally have to call up and chase each time to make numerous booking attempts and find out what was wrong or needed to be done. Each visit never complete. alled but didn't make a difference and blamed lack of duct into ceiling as cause but didn't make sense as to why switch didn't make difference in the amount of noise which was the original issue and how a lack of a hole into the roof would cause such a commotion. My pensioner parents had to spend extra for a new duct and installation which proved that ducting was not the issue as the duct made no difference to the amount of noise that the unit was making. Escalated to the area sales rep who said will organise technician again and said will replace if unit faulty but as yet to receive date/time as to when technician will be out again or a call back for that matter. Would never recommend Miele to anyone as I would never want to subject them to this kind of experience ever.1 comment

Broken dishwasher within 2 years
We paid premium for a Miele G4920 about 2.5 years ago. It started showing F11 error after 18 months. It's now becoming completely unusable and wasting a lot of water with multiple re-tries every evening. Comparing to our previous Westinghouse that lasted good 10 years without a glitch, Miele is very disappointing. We called around and was asked for at least $179 call-out fee without any commitment to getting it fixed. Started shopping around for a replacement. This is a LAST Miele for us!

Miele Washing Machine
I am very disappointed in the quality of Miele washing machine and the lack of support offered to resolve fundamental issues.
I purchased a WTH 130WPM Washer / Dryer and it was delivered to home. There was a defect with the machine and it could not be used. Miele to their credit offered to replace the machine two days later. It was delivered today and the new machine has the same fault. So we are now looking for machine number three in another week. es fail. What is lost on the service teams is that my wife and I have had to take a half a day of work each and have been without a washing machine now for nearly two weeks - going into the third. It appears all of the service is on the sale process and supporting the customer after this process is a very distant second. We have spent many hours on hold trying to get through or in discussions around what the issue is. Recently renovated my house and purchased some very expensive Miele appliances. So disappointed especially with the machine machine. Has destroyed clothing and had Miele service out 4 times and there is nothing they can do. Pretty much left with a machine machine that I now can't use after 3 months. No customer service. Will never use them again

The Company that could!
I purchased a slimline Meile Dishwasher, just over two years ago when l totally renovated my kitchen and utility room in an old stables Coach house. The designer said it was like putting a 12 gallon bucket is a spce designed for 5 gallons. My concern was that as a retired chef the dishwasher would be too small for entertaining.
After two years of use, l'm very pleased to report that; with the cutlery draw at the top taking care of upto 40 pieces at a time and the well racked two draws below, with no cutlery basket, l get exactly the same amount of plates, bowls as with my full size washer. Fantast.Fantastic result!

Miele dishwasher error F24 issue
Extremely disappointed and frustrated, both with the dishwasher and the service provided by Miele.
I did alot of research before I purchased this dishwasher and based on the advice by the retailer, choice.com.au and also website they certainly had features, the reputation and also quality that others didnt.

I will never buy a Miele washing machine again.
Three times a year our Miele dishwasher stops working and shows F24. Getting a repair man is not easy as I live in a rural area. Cheaper machines seem more reliable . My sister has had a cheaper brand for 8 years and it has never stopped working.

Don't buy Miele
I purchased a Miele induction cooktop, large oven and a dishwasher about 10 years ago. We have had problems with the induction cooktop since the beginning. We have had the service people out approximately 8 times and we are still having problems. It isn't working at the moment and we are just deciding whether we will just get rid of it and buy a different brand.
The touch screen which operates the oven is now faulty and we have been quoted $1,400 to fix it and we have been told that that is heavily discounted!! So our oven isn't working either.
About 2 months ago our dishwasher broke as well so we had to pay quite a bit to have that repaired. I'm not happy with the products or the service and couldn't recommend Miele to anyone.

Dishwasher G4920U - F24 failure and it is only 3 yrs old - don't know what their definition of longevity and quality is?
We purchased a Miele Dishwasher model G4920U on 9th Jan 2017. We upgraded an old Conia dishwasher to a Miele based on the strong branding presence Miele have in the market for quality and longevity.
On the weekend we started getting an intermittent error message F24. I contacted their Customer Support to arrange a service call to get this issue fixed expecting it to be fixed at no cost to us. I was informed we only had a 24 month warranty on the dishwasher and we would be liable for the call out fee of $179, part costs to be determined and an ...Read more
additional cost of $34 for every extra 15 mins beyond the initial 30 min. I have had to book a service call against my better judgment as I would have rather secured a waive of cost before a technician is onsite. This experience has been extremely disappointing from Miele their website promotes - “When you buy a Miele appliance, you choose longevity and the best in quality”??? Totally unreliable dishwasher
We purchased a new dishwasher about 4 years ago. It tends to break down twice a year. Mainly F24 issues. Better to cut my losses and get a cheaper brand. It’s just not worth the cost of repairing it every year. I will never buy Miele again.

Such a disappointment and such a stress - buyers beware!
We thought we were buying appliances that would a long term investment so would justify the expense, but in the space of 3 years our induction cook top has broken twice and dishwasher once, each time requiring new electrical parts which have taken a long time to source and replace. And now our washing machine has broken with an f20 fault that can only be rectified by a service call out and parts which are likely to exceed hundreds of dollars. With 5 month old twins at home and a mountain of washing to get through I'm ready to break. So upset and so disappointed. Immer besser should really be schlechter und schlechter!

Disappointed with Meille overall
My induction cooktop has stopped working for the 2nd time in 8 plus years at large cost after almost 2 weeks (it broke down on a Saturday ) and we had to wait till a Monday to report it and had to wait a week for a serviceman to attend . l Meille appliances . The fridge was replaced free of charge after 7 years, what went wrong with that was something that had a lifetime warranty on it but that was replaced after many service calls . The dishwasher when new stopped working, that also under warranty . The very expensive coffee machine, that has also required a serviceman to attend to it, I am nervous to say it but the washing machine and dryer have been good and also the warming oven has not broken down but is not useable because it does not close properly, apparently it is a weak arm something to do with the arm needing to be stronger. The serviceman for the cooktop is fixing this when he comes back . In my opinion Meille is probably not what it once was for quality service and reliability,I will not recommend their product s to anyone that asks3 comments

Dishwasher breakdown, just out of warranty
Bought what I thought was a premium product to replace our last very old and reliable Bosch. We are only 6 months or so beyond 2 yr warranty and its broken down. Appears to be a problem with water inlet or pump. You would expect these items to last more that 2.5 yrs, otherwise why pay up to $2k for it in first place. From what I can see quite a few others have had similar problem. 5 yrs expectation on reliability of mechanical should be a minimum. Will never buy Miele again
'Invested' in a Miele dishwasher which failed and was replaced under warranty within first 12 months. Replacement arrived dented. Replacement has now failed after another 4.5 years of average use (2 people, 2-3 loads per week) and there is no Miele tech within 2 hours even if the warranty was still valid. Miele 'helpline' would not comment on the quote of $300-$500 at best to repair by local repairman & still maintain their claim that Miele have an expected lifespan of 20 years. I will buy a cheap replacement plus product care and avoid all Miele products in future.

Terrible life span - expensive to replace parts that don't last more than 4 years!
We bought a Miele KM5974 Induction 8 years ago assuming a 'top' brand would last the time.
4 years in we had our first'control board' damage ($700 repairs!) and now have the same issue 4 years later ($1000!) - same error FE35! Pathetic for someone who doesn't really use it that often!! WASTE OF MONEY

Can’t believe my Miele washing machine is already out of order after only 3y!
I bought Miele W1913 washing machine and just after 2 years ( when the warranty is finished) I started to have issues. First it was technical fault 41 for some wash but we were able to re-start another problem and now it is fault 62or 63 and 92 and almost all program get stopped sometimes 2min after it started. We had a technician coming a few months back and he said it was a problem with the electronics (which you would think it would be covered with longer warranty...) and it would cost us $600. Beware of hostile and aggressive service technician followed by inaction from Head Office
Service call booked, the technicians (2) arrived as expected an odour of stale cigarettes followed them. I proceeded to explain that bed sheets were not dry after the cycle had finished. I was told by the technician that it is a known problem with sheets and all the Miele dryers regardless of model do not dry sheets. He told me that he knew what the problem was "the sheets coil up into a ball and the outside dries but the inside does not" I agreed that that was the issue I was experiencing. I asked him to a least put the diagnostic on the machine to determine that there is no issue before he conclusively tells me that there is no problem as I could not believe what he was telling i.e. a malfunction with Miele dryers?! He was aggressive to begin with but his aggression escalated as he talked over me, yelling with very animated hand movements. He told me that even his family members (a cousin from Wollongong) had had enough of the same issue with not been able to dry her bed sheets that she demanded her money back from Miele. He advised me that even he did not dry his sheets in the dryer for this exact reason. He finally instructed his colleague to do the diagnostic, I was told there was no issue with the machine and that the problem was simply that Miele dryers do not dry sheets. I was shocked to hear this. He continued to yell telling me 'there is nothing hr could do and that he could not begin to tell me how many times he has had to stand in people's laundries say the same thing to so many other customers". He told me that he could call his boss and get me a new machine delivered, I told him I did not want another new machine. I became upset and he said he was not here to watch me be upset and that he was leaving! Service call over. I called Miele, I spoke to 3 people, was put on hold for great lengths of time and was eventually told they would call me back at some stage. All in all a horrible, disturbing and unprofessional experience. Dryer model number is TCJ690WP it was installed in September 2022.3 comments

Miele Dishwasher dead after 6 years .. ? Spent $176 on first service call. (two more service calls - not charged for) still broken, have $738 quote to continue working on it (circulation pump replacement).. now 1 month without dishwasher.. Shouldn't Miele, be obligated to fix under consumer laws? They claim a working lifespan of 20 years.... I have be in contact with Miele Service, who have offered me 20% off a new machine (but I have to get it installed myself).. or a 30%-50% goodwill rebate.. on just the most recent repair which seems insulting on a dishwasher which cost between $1600-$2000 new.. when I bought it. I have tried to pressure them in regard to the obligations regarding ACL, but apparently that's company policy...
