Great value for money!
A really nice phone for such an amazing price. The touch is a bit less responsive but ok for a teenagers use. Colors are nice and so is the sound quality/speakers. Wifi is great as well. Camera is ok. I am really happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a value for money phone.

Great smartphone with competitively price
This is a competitively priced smartphone with full of functionalities. Instead of buying an expensive Android phone, e.g. Samsung Galaxy, I prefer to buy this one. As we know, the price of Android phones are dropped down very fast, so there no reason to buy an expensive phone.
I know that the expensive phone, e.g. Samsung Galaxy, is better than this one, but it's not really worth for that money. My friend bought one expensive phone for $1000 and its price was dropped to $600 in 2 weeks.
Well, because of the above reasons, I will choose this phone, PERSONALLY!

Good Budget Phone
It is really good budget phone with little lag with camera clicks. Bit hot while using camera or skype for long time. Picture quality is very good as compared to other budget phones available in the market. COmapred to other phones available, this phone is a good competitor and no need to spend huge amount. recommended

Great phone overall but has a few issues.
I've had this phone for over a year now and can say that overall its a great phone but has a few issues when it comes to Bluetooth.
Pros:
Phone is great has long battery life,
Stock Android so no bloatware
Can use hand gestures to turn on flash light in an instant (has saved us a few times in the dark) or activate the camera in a flash (if you can get camera gesture right)
Camera is good overall.
Cons:
Bluetooth seems to switch off when screen is locked.

Ammmazing phone
Being frugal, I was searching for a replacement phone for my ageing and dying Samsung. I was actually very happy with the Samsung phone, and really liked the look and specs of the new S series too. However, I couldn't justify spending more than $600 (discounted) on a phone.
I knew what kind of specs I wanted, and a few makes made my list while I waited and did my research.
The Moto G5 Plus in the end was going to be the one. A fast CPU, usable amount of RAM, not a super big size. I read about camera issues, and about a pending Oreo upda...Read more
te. Eventually a deal I couldn't refuse popped up, SOLD! The phone itself it really nice and polished. From the aluminium cowl to the ample screen size. It performs perfectly without giving me any trouble. The rear camera isn't anything to write home about, but it works well enough. Battery life is amazing assuming I'm not playing candy crush all day. Performance, feel, size, all of a flagship quality. If you can still buy it, I would absolutely recommend.Similar opinion? Excellent phone for value.
Definitely the best phone on the market in its price range. I love how the software is clean with very little add-ons. The phone is definitely fast & very little lag. The camera is really good as well, but does struggle in low light.
Important to note, try to get the 32 GB if possible. 16 GB is definitely not enough.

Very good phone!
Love this phone! Such a good phone under budget. Good quality camera, enough storage for myself, expandable memory. Please bear in mind that it's not a luxurious phone. I did look at a lot of other options in this price ctaegory, but this was the best of it all. I would highly recommend this phone!

One great value phone
This budget phone deliver the modern essential functions. Dual sim cards let me Put in two sim c@rds, one for work and one for data. Also a dedicate as card slot to expand the storage. However, sometimes it requires some internal storage to install some system apps. The camera focus function sometimes is slow or not able to focus.

a great mid-range phone
i have the rose gold and love it. it lost a star as i cant use the calender without signing in and i (still) can't work out how to delete a video i dont want. the battery charger is super good-very quick, and screen is super clear. you really need an extra memory card. i have dropped it once and it did not scratch or chip!!!!! back camera is pretty good too-nice clear photos, not iphone but much, much better than the cheapies.

Best budget phone you could buy.
For a mid price phone, this is spectacularly good value. Dual SIM, good size screen, ok processor and camera, good battery life, sd card slot. One of the best features is NO BLOATWARE. It's the closest thing to vanilla Android available outside nexus or pixel. Because of this, you actually get a reasonable amount of the 16GB storage to use for yourself. It seems well made and quite robust. I've dropped it several times with no damage so far.

Great phone for the price
It's super affordable and even has dual SIM. I needed an affordable dual SIM phone and this looked like my best option and I definitely can't complain. I haven't used the camera and video much as I have a second phone and I'm sure it's not as great quality as the higher end phones but you get what you pay for.

Awesome value for money
This is a very affordable phone that does not compromise on quality. The camera is okay but could definitely be better, especially when compared to the iphone and samsung phones. I love being able to put in a microsd to expand the storage so I find the 16 GB plenty big enough. Dual sim is also a plus when travelling. I love the feel of the phone and I find the built sturdy. Can highly recommend for the price

Excellent value for money
This is a cheap phone that does not compromise on quality. The camera is good but could be better, especially compared to higher priced phones like iPhone & Samsung, but obviously this phone is cheaper. Very slick looking. Only complaint is that 16 GB is small & some apps are pre-installed, so actually you have less than 16 GB

one of the best nowadays
I recently update myself to this phone from his grandfather Moto G4 Plus. G5 plus is almost a carbon copy of G4 plus and although i was quite fascinated by moto g4, now a bit down with G5 as it has nothing new to offer.
I strongly recommend this phone yet if you have G4 you better to stick to it.

A competitively priced smartphone
This phone was competitively priced, being significantly cheaper than an equivalent iPhone or Samsung. The interface is easy to use and the phone is well sized, being comfortable in the pocket. I don't use the camera as much as other smartphone users, so I can't comment on the quality of that. However, the phone is perfect for any and all apps that one might want to use.
My only complaint is minor - which is that the way Motorola phones are set up make it very difficult to set custom ringtones. This however is very minor, and doesn't detract from all the good points of the phone.

Good but some wifi issues
Overall a good phone with some good features, the camera is good and OTA updates come quickly. The only issue is the wifi. The wifi keeps disconnecting all the time. This as been happening after the last OTA update. Not sure if motorola will look into this and rectify the issue. If they can do that its a great little phone. Its just annoying when the wifi keeps get disconnected all the time.

Great Value
After recently smashing my new HTC U11, I didn't want to break the bank when getting a new phone. I started researching good mid range androids and settled on the Moto G5s Plus. I'm about a week in and I am pleasantly surprised. It does lack a little in some areas such as performance and colour quality, but for under $400, i am not complaining. I will see how it fairs over the next year. Maybe flagship phones are overrated.

Great Budget Phone
This is my third Moto G series phone and it is a great phone. Build quality is good and very easy to use. I love the ability to use fingerprint to unlock the phone rather than enter passcode every time. Battery lasts a full day, when it falls below a certain threshold it goes into low power mode so it can last further. Memory can be expanded using SD cards. Phone is also dual SIM, so if you are a regular overseas traveler it is great feature! Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

Best bang for your buck
Bought this phone to replace one I smashed last year. I managed to find a price under 300 bucks and at that price it is a brilliant phone. It will do 90% of what the top tier phones do.
It runs the latest version of android, has a good camera and is quick to switch between apps. It feels like a premium phone but at a cheap price. Recommended.

Moto G5 Plus
+This is the best budget smart phones it has Excellent Camera and Video worth the money spent, it also has Sleek design and no better budget phone than Motorola's Moto G5 Plus.
- No USB Type-C port, Smaller display than budget competitors and Weak speaker, Bland design.
Definitely Worth Buying.

Does the Australian model of this phone have a magnetometer? Why was my review of this product rejected, I was just pointing out that Motorola deliberately omitted a compass from this model. Please be careful to check specs when buying a Motorola product.

I've just submitted my review of the Moto G5 Plus and wondering if anyone has Bluetooth issues with their phone?? I seem to have to unlock the screen on my phone in order for my phone to connect to either my car's Bluetooth or my Smartwatch. If so it kind of defeats the purpose of having a smartwatch connected to your phone.

I've not had any such Bluetooth connectivity issues. My phone and car are always connected via Bluetooth. The only issue I ever have is music not automatically playing, but that seems to be an issue with the music player app, as calls work just fine. You've also mentioned that Bluetooth breaks up now and then, and I've had this too, when using 2.4Ghz WiFi at the same time. Bluetooth & WiFi share 2.4Ghz, and do interfere with one another. Since switching to 5Ghz WiFi, there's been no issues.
yes I purchased the XT1805 moto g 5 plus from Kogan and am having bluetooth issues. I cant seem to answer the phone normally and have to put it on speaker. I have another moto g 5 plus model XT1585 that works perfectly. I am wondering if the kogan stock was grey import?
