My experience is to just press the go button and it will work its way around the entire floor area. Doors have to be left open obviously. The only things to stop it are battery recharge, full container (happens a lot in my house) and steps (or shoe laces). It will not replace a proper vacuum clean as there is only small suction (basically only collects pet hair & wont pick up anything as heavy as a pin).

I had this problem today, can't get mine to charge on the dock, but it will charge with the power plugged directly into the unit, socket is next to the power button, at least it can be used this way, but not ideal.

Might seem a bit obvious but check the drive wheels are all functioning properly when it is running. Also check that the steering is not stuck in the one position. Check the remote to ensure the "Spot" button is not stuck down or damaged. Press it a couple of times to ensure it is moving OK.

Yeah done that seems it could be the bumper bar am i able to fix that i am a qualified electrician do you know the process

They just pull off in the center, they are quite firmly attached.

Best to use a flat bladed screwdriver as a lever. Place the point under the centre of each brush and gently lever the brush up a bit at a time moving around to make the lift even. They are just pressed on but are pretty firm.

I've been using mine every day for the last month or so with no apparent deterioration. I guess you would only change it when it starts to fail ie. runs for only a few minutes. I have more problems with the poor life of the side brushes.
