Awesome Family Car!!! Great Value
Bought this car in Feb 2017 and loving it. It is great family car having option of 5 seat and 7 seat, I bought a 7 seater for time in need and serving the purpose. Great 2.5L engine and affordable price.Better than most of the competitors I would say, initially I was thinking to go for Mazda CX-5 but ending up buying this, but happy for my decision so far.

Great-spacious-economical-slow brakes
Very suitable for family with kids for a new car under 30k.
Boot can be arranged in my ways to suit your transportation.
Suspension is soft
Brakes seem to be little slow to respond
Petrol of $80 lasts for almost 400-500km depending where and how you drive
Worth it .

Great Car
This car has been extremely smooth to drive and fits the whole family. Kids love it with a DVD in the back. Recommend it for big families and long drives. Service is a little costly but great warranty claims and cover. Recommend it to people who have large families. Would recommend to others.

Love this car.
Very happy with my X-Trail, still a car that I enjoy driving, even 16 months after purchase. The service costs are reasonable, & the overall support is great. Have never owned a Nissan before, but would definitely buy again in the future. Definitely a car that anyone in the mid size SUV range should look at.

Great car for a family
I bought the ST L model which is mid range. I homes with sat Nav, fully adjustable drivers seat with electronic adjustment and lumbar support, leather seats (heated in the front), around view, roof racks. The handling is good. Easy to drive with good vision of the road and either side. The boot space and dividing system is awesome and there is plenty is space for the pram (and a set of golf clubs). The back seat is on sliders and is theTre seating which puts your kids higher which is great for vision and preventing car sickness. Plenty of legroom for all occupants and a comfortable ride.

NISSAN X-TRAIL 2014
Driving experience. ..very good....less noise on engine and tyres on road..
As of off road. ..It was made for climbing the hills.....hahahaha
Ascending and descending is its priority.
Very powerful engine.
The interior. .not that much to talk about. ..just normal...unless one wants to add some more extras at a costs.
It is little bit heavy on fuel...but compared to its ability to run around the world's worst roads....It is best.
Multi teraise functions are well built.

Loving It
I am loving my Nissan X-Trail - Almost 1.5yrs from purchase, as a new car. It handles exceptionally well, with plenty of leg room and room for carseats. My only issue and this is a costly one is that it definitely does not run as efficiently as they manufacturer says it does. On average I probably do 10-12L/100km, so this is probably the biggest down side of my much loved X-Trail. And with petrol prices this high, that is a big factors. Lastly, a big disappointment with the manufactuer is that they sold me 2 year old maps! And they dont upgrade them on your yearly service. Not good! :(

The all rounder
My husband I both recently bought new cars, he chose the Nissan X trail and I got the D Max, our 16 year old son think are cars are backwards, while I love my car I must admit I do like the sporty smooth drive of the Nissan, in fact I pinch his car quite regularly for the comfort and sleek driving experience it offers. I like to tease my husband and call his car the old man car, but truthfully it is the all rounder, it tackles the on off roads as good as my 4x4 but gives a comfort not others offer, and it is suited to all ages and walks of life

XTrail - keeping my family on the move!
The new Nissan X-Trail has been a very welcome to my family - we went ST-L with all the options and the value for money is great! Nissan has a very strong attention to detail and are incredibly innovative when it comes to functions of the car.
The road handling is amazing it drives just like a car, although for its size it can feel a little underpowered, but really only if towning something heavy.
Great car!

Very happy!
Purchased new in 2014 - It drives like a car rather than an SUV. CTV transmission is incredibly smooth. Cheap to run, quiet, good boot space and I like that Nissan have retained the X-Trail multi-positional shelf option in the boot - it allows better utilisaton of the space - espcially for those who still have kids in prams.
The higher set rear seating is perfect for younger children who like to be able to take in the view.

wonderful!!!
It took me 3 years to get my Husband to give up his old Ford Focus for the X trail.
We paid extra to get the ST-L model. Worth every dollar.
- We love the parking cameras.
- The leather seats are so comfortable.
- It also has a cooling cup holder and seat warmers.
- Built in GPS with a touch screen.
- Smartphone integration through Nissan Connect
- Headlamps switch on automatically
- Mirrors can be folded in electronically when the car is parked on narrow streets

Disappointing compared to the 2011 ST-L.
Cons: Not as good value as the previous gen (2011) XTrail. Much smaller boot space due to less boxy shape. Not the same seat split in the back.
Pros: updated dash & technology.
Economical when in ECO mode
Reliable
Better servicing - only once every 12 months rather than 6 monthly.
Like the keyless entry

Just love it
This is the first new car I have ever brought. From the LED lights to the leath seats all the way to automatic tall gate. The only one thing that I don't like is the foot handbrake. It make the other pedals to close together for my size 9 female shoes.

Dissapointed with foot (hand) pedal brake.
Love my 2016 T32, lot of road noise, but put that down to the tyres. And it bounces around the road a bit. Had a few problems when pushing start button. I accidentally hit the wiper stick and couldn't work out, even by following the book, how to off the intermittent option. And it wasn't just me. But my biggest beef, and the bad rating is only for the pedal hand brake being so high when off. To push it back on you have to lift your leg right up. It's a pain in the butt. When I rang Nissans 1800 number to enquire about wether there were any other options, all I got was "didn't I notice that when I purchased it." Yes I knew it was a pedal brake, but, I ONLY HAD TO USE IT ONCE WHEN I PULLED UP BACK IN THE DEALERS YARD..

Nice mid range car with most extras
Performance is quite reasonable for a 2.5l petrol engine fuel economy seems to be around the 9l/100 for mixed driving. one of the few things I didn't like about the dash is that the start button is behind the steering wheel apart from that plenty of leg room etc the sound system could be better.

Practical and Reliable
Love the reliability and have the 4WD option so can easily take the kids surfing at offroad locations. Love the space and legroom and the configuration in the back (seats move fwd and bwd) creating more legroom or more storage room as required. Hate the non-intuitive bluetooth dialling options after my Holden was so intuitive and broke down my phonebook into A-C, D-F etc Nissan makes me scroll unless number in my favourites!

love love love the xtrail
Being a bit of a car girl never thought id own a nissan but after having 2 baby needed a bigger car without the European price tag. I was after, technology, good looks, leather, 7 seats, cheap servicing did my home work on the xtrail. I decided to purchase and im not disappointed in any way. Look, doesn't have a massive grunt off the start but im not out there street racing so doesn't bother me. Love the 360¤ camera.

Very roomy and nice to drive.
I have had my Nissan X-Trail since July 2016 and I couldn't be happier. We bought it for size, we are tall people with tall kids so the fact that the back seat is on rails and moves like a front seat was a huge bonus for us with regards to leg room. The boot is massive and can be configured in many ways.
Being a SUV and being tall, it is at a great height for our family.
I don't particularly like the hands free set up in this car as it is difficult to search the phone book to make a call, however for receiving calls it serves its purpose.

Great Ride
How good is the driving experience? Its really great, smooth drive and I used to have a nissan dualis and this is definitely a good upgrade.
What do you like or dislike about the interior? its really hard to find something I dislike, however the model I purchased had the BSM on the side mirrors, however when inquired the actual option is not available to you. I just found that Deceiving. Hence given the 4 stars.
How is the reliability and what are the running costs - its very reliability and what are as far as i have had it the running costs are low,

I have just started to get water in the well under the driver's seat when it rains and it doesn't appear to be coming from the door. Any ideas?

Thats an oddy mate. Is carpet wet all the way to the pedals area? It could be coming from the dash area or firewall if it is. Have you felt up and around the accelerator and brake pedal, under and around the firewall area if anything is wet. Thats the first port of call for water entry.

My AC was not cycling so I changed my AC thermostat and it's still not cycling off its running continuously. Why? Does it have a electrical AC box controlling the thermostat?

common problem with AC in all the later model xtrails they all had AC problems dont know if Nissan actually did anything about it.

No squeak but my air con has been poor since day one. Had unit checked at the workshop and no issues - just always struggles to cool in higher heat.
what year is it?? any Xtrails after 2014 are problems the earlier models are better. The squeak in the front wheels is the ball joints or sway bar bushes common problem with the later model Xtrails same as the air conditioner another common problem with later model xtrails Nissan knows about it but says there is not an issue.
