I have just started to get water in the well under the driver's seat when it rains and it doesn't appear to be coming from the door. Any ideas?

Thats an oddy mate. Is carpet wet all the way to the pedals area? It could be coming from the dash area or firewall if it is. Have you felt up and around the accelerator and brake pedal, under and around the firewall area if anything is wet. Thats the first port of call for water entry.
I have a 2015 X-Trail TL diesel, less than 100,000km and fully serviced. The turbo has developed a high pitched whistle when accelerating even at very low speeds, so Ive stopped using it now. Nissan have said they do not know what the issue is, though may be turbo and I should consider getting a new car. Has anyone else had this issue?
