Excellent!
Tested and compared all SUVs on the market and shortlisted to the Honda CRV, Nissan X-Trail and Skoda Kodiaq. Settled on the Nissan due to its flexible storage / space and standard safety features that came at additional cost on other makes.
My Family are all very tall, the X-Trail definitely had the best space in class and rear bench also slides to give additional leg room. The boot under floor configuration allows flexible / hidable storage solutions and also has dedicated storage for the cargo cover.
We also fitted a Hayman Reese tow bar (...Read more
$650 install at Arrow Towers) and towed a 800kg Caravan (braked) for a few weeks, the transmission was excellent and fuel economy was surprising considering. The only concern experienced was the AEB on a few occasions engaged at slow speeds in a carpark, this was resolved Von Bibra Nissan, excellent service. In short, very good car, great space, standard safety features and best value for money.Purchased in January 2021 at Von Bibra.

A very practical suv
I’m in my late 60’s and have been considering an SUV, because of the ease of getting in and out and the elevated driving position, for some time. The X-Trail wasn’t on my radar until I drove one, my son’s ST 2.5lt 7-seater, which impressed me so when I saw this one advertised bought it without a second thought.
I like the styling which I think is purposeful and “clean” without unnecessary creases and folds, and the dimensions translate into plenty of space inside. The high roofline adds to the feeling of space and airiness, unlike some other m...Read more

This good car regarding mileage. However some features are missing comparing other cars for same price range like android auto, blackspot feature in mirror. Power operator boot open and close.

You could do a lot worse than an X-Trail...
Work decided my new vehicle would be an 7 seater X-Trail after my last lease vehicle expired. What can I say? It's not the worst front-wheel drive 7-seater "fake SUV" out there but it's definitely not the best.
What's good?
-Interior is modern, looks great in black and steering wheel is really great to hold being a D-shaped sports wheel with excellent controls at your thumbs at all times.
-Windscreen wipers are really effective in torrential rain and headlights are above average as well on long-lonely highways.
-Leather is fairly high qu...Read more

Ok for the price
Initially bought due to 7 seat capacity and ST-L model has leather seats. The power is what you’d expect from a 4 cylinder SUV @ 126kw. I’ve had the car for nearly 9 months and travelled 14,000 km’s and it still drives like a new car. The car is a bit tinny, but overall is a good car to drive and very comfortable. Nissan also offer fixed priced servicing which is reasonably priced.
The only let down is the technology. Nissan really let themselves down here as the infotainment system really lacks. Carplay is available for Nissan in most...Read more
countries except Australia. NissanConnect is a joke and the maps are outdated and costly to update. The actual system has the basics and they do work. If technology is important, look elsewhere, otherwise it’s a good car for basic commuting.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good Car, don't love it, don't hate it
I had a range rover evoque prior to this so a bit hard down grading but it's a decent car. Does feel a bit cheap to drive but good value for money. Has all the mod-cons, I have full leathers and 7 seater as have two kids, very roomy and good family car. You can feel every bump in the road though, I wouldn't say it's a smooth ride. But for the money you pay it's ok.

Best value SUV
This car is by far the best value SUV I have ever owned
Very powerful, almost perfectly economical engine
has dual performance mode Eco and Normal
very spacious, high tech and has smooth drive
Surprisingly the interior feels bigger than it looks
and the petrol usage is quite optimised for this size car
So happy with it

The X stands for excellent
Pros:
Great interior - ample boot space, nice leather, large back seat, attractive dash setup.
Zippy - good take off the mark, reasonably quiet.
Cameras! - omg, best feature by far, birds eye camera for parking is bloody fantastic, every car will have this one day.
Cons-
Not a fan of keyless entry. The car performs the function fine, i just think its an annoying feature and i frequently lose my keys......but i know they're close...

Great SUV car
It might not be an X-Trail blazer, but this nip-and-tuck has added some critical technology and safety extras to an already competent package. It's improved in the areas that matter and, is an easy-breezy drive from behind the wheel. For ours, the petrol-powered ST-L makes the most sense, no matter which configuration you opt for, scoring the best of the new stuff without breaking the bank
Well recommended!

This is good car for family
Not happy with visibility around. Running cost is good .interior design is good, not happy with engine noise to loud. Not happy with front passenger seat adjustment. There is very little space for back passenger in 7 seater. control buttons in steering wheel are not handy. Steering wheel design is good.

Still stuck in the early 2000's
Audiovisual is a huge let down the Nissan connect system is dismal Voice activation is not available in the australian market yet it is in other markets. to make a call requires you to take your attention off the road and look at the centre screen instead of using siri to make calls through the voice activation

No voice recognition!!
I just purchased a 2017 ST-L in dec, and have discovered that it does not have voice recognition - so you can't use hands free effectively. this seems absurd in the mid level entry when this tech has been around for years. not sure what model has it as in the manual it says 'if equipped'.

Reliable, spacious
Fantastic economic car!! Can travel over 700km and only use 1/4 of a tank of fuel. Can fit a baby, pram, 2 adults and a bath (we purchased for our home) in it and still had plenty of room to travel comfortably. Love how the doors open extra wide at the back so its easier to get things in the car. We had to upgrade our car due to having a baby. At only a week on and still get the hang of being parents our dealership made our purchase easy and worked around us.

LOVE this car!
We bought a brand new 2017 X-trial ST-L because we are expecting a baby. It is spacious, very smooth and quiet to drive and seem to be very safe. There is a few extra safety features including the lights that warns you about cars being in your blind spots. We love this car!! Having said that, we both drive a car that's from 2000 and 2003...

Great all round daily driver
We've had this vehicle for 6 months now and it still impresses me with it's great visibility, the CVT gearbox and just how quiet it is on the road. The only thing I can fault is the lack of an overhead ligh in the cargo area. It is located on the side and is basically useless in it's current location. Fuel economy is around the 8lt/100km mark for town driving so pretty economical. Service costs are less than our previous Holden Cruze. The rear seating is great for those due it the raised position allowing passengers to see whats in front more readily
