The plug is heating up to about 40C after an hour or so. I have tried different wall sockets with the same result. Is this considered normal? Jean

Hi Gorbear, Get a flat head screwdriver and turn over your heater. When you see the black clips, use the screwdriver to pry them out.
Has anyone had this problem? All the dials have been turned to stand-by and effectively "off" on all dials but hot air is still churned out? We have to turn it off at the switch for the unit to completely turn off and cool down. Bought it from the Good Guys a week ago.

The plug (and wall socket) on my Noirot 2400w gets VERY hot after running at setting 7 or 8 for a couple of hours to the point of being barely touchable....no extension cord is used.
This doesn’t seem safe so am taking it back for replacement as it has a lifetime warranty.
Appreciate any comments/feedback on this “hot plug” situation.
Thx Pete
Hi, we have one and it gets quite warm but never as hot as yours seems to be. You are right to return it for replacement.
Hi Neville,
...many thanks for the advice/prompt follow-up.

Hi,
We have purchased the Noirion 2400 Spot plus convection panel heater and
I was wondering whether firstly can it be plugged straight into a powerboard and can how high can it be mounted on a wall. We were hoping the heat would flow onto the kitchen area. Model DM7358.8.TFDEX, Thanks Melinda.
Hi. I don't know if this is helpful but I have just purchased a second 2400 as the first has been so good. I plug mine straight into a powerboard. It heats a big area and the heat moves into adjoining rooms.
I have a Noirot Heater with a MR190 Digital Controller which I purchased 3 years ago. As it is now winter, I attempted to turn the heater on and re programme it. The digital display lights up but there is no display on the screen. I have tried turning it off by pressing the off button for 20 plus seconds but there is no response and no display. Could you offer any other suggestions. This problem has not occurred in the past 2 winters.
Call Noirot on 95632778, this happened to me a couple of winters ago, there is something you do to get it going again, but I can’t remember what it is. In the end it didn’t stay on and I had to get th...
Read moree control panel replaced, by taking it into Noirot in Oakleigh. I had to pay $100, because mine was second hand, but I think they have a lifetime guarantee if you have your proof of purchase. Thanks for your reply. I have now taken it in to get serviced.
My noirot 7358-8t will only display HG when I turn it on. I have pressed on button for 15 seconds and it comes up with RST but when I set the temp it turns off and doesn't heat. Just comes up with HG again when I turn it on - nothing works! Do I have a lemon on my hands here?
My heater starts up then turns off and will not restart. If I unplug it and leave it for a while it will start again for a short time (5 mins). It displays a message of a P in the top right hand corner of the display panel and below that a rectangle with lines going up and down and diagonally within the rectangle.
I've never had that happen with any of my 3 Noirot heaters (only had to pay for the first one). If you take it back to where you purchased it, they should replace it due to the lifetime warranty (The...
Read more Good Guys have replaced mine twice now, no questions asked - they just tested it and found what I was saying correct).Yes we have three also, one is the older one with the dials and never had any issues. I am hoping to find out what the message is that comes up to give me an idea of what the problem could be. I've ...
Read moregot a split system as well but like the heat of the Noirot so would like to resolve it. Taking it to the shop tomorrow. We have never had any issues before.i only want to set 1 period out of the 3 periods per day. I managed to set the first period (eg. from 6am to 7am). How do I set the 2nd period off?
I have just purchased mine and did something wrong- so now have a time in the 2nd period that I don't want to use. Does anyone know how to clear periods back to blank please?
Hi, I went to turn on my Noirot Spot Plus, the round panel is working but there is a key on the screen and nothing happens when I turn the dial to on (from Stop) or turn the temperature dial up. It was wired in by an electrician (about 10 years ago), was working fine last winter. Any suggestions please :)
I haven't had that problem. I first purchased a Noirot in 2012. after about 3 years, the wall plug started burning the power point. Took it back to The Good Guys where I purchased it, and they repl...
Read moreaced it with a new one no questions asked. About 3 weeks ago, that one stopped working, and they replaced it again. It would be a bit more of a nuisance for one that is wired in, but you have the lifetime warranty at least. I've never had a key on the screen. The key symbol shows that the child lock feature is on. I think the manual says to press and hold the + & - buttons together for several seconds to turn it off.
Thank you Jason R. I contacted Noirot directly and they told me that for my model, to press and hold the Enter and Mode together for a few seconds. It's now off, and heater is working again :) daughter is pleased
Hi, I have set my heater to 18 degrees but as the room heats the baby monitor says the temp goes up to 23 degrees. What could be happening?
I have the same issue. How did you fix it?
We have exactly the same problem. We have taken ours back and they said heater tested and no issues. Still gave us a new one. No issues for 2 weeks with the new one and now suddenly again the last 2 n...

Starting to wonder why we spent so much money on this product that we once loved!Baby monitors are notorious for having higher temps than the room actually is. Read more°. The issue is and always has been your baby monitor. If you check your manual for the monitor it will likely say “temperature is accurate to +\- 2°” or words to that effect.I have a Noirot Spot Plus with Digital Timer and I set it at 16.5 in my baby's room. It heated the room to 18 degrees, 3 hours later it was 20 degrees so I reduced it to 16 degrees. 6 hours after that it was 24.7 degrees in his room which is very dangerous for a baby. I thought these heaters maintained the temperature. Why does it say 16 degrees and continue to heat past that point?
Hi Katie, could you please call us on (03) 9563 2778 and can help resolve the issue.
That does not sound very good. I have no advice. I've never used my timer function so do not know how well it works.
We have the same issue, we set it at 19.5 and it keeps heating to 22.5. If we turn it off and then on again it doesn’t continue to heat until the temp drops but if it is left on it doesn’t seem to cut out at 19.5
hi, how do i reset my heater? its DM 7358 model just stopped working last night have reset it in the past
Hi Michelle, to reset your heater hold down the power button for 15 seconds. If this does not work please call us (03) 9563 2778.
It would be best to contact either the store of purchaser or the manufacturer as I don't have the experience of this happening
These heaters are marketed as market leading....my experience is anything but, warranty....forget about it. I called them, not all that interested. I own about eight of their heaters...never again!!
Hi, I notice the " - " button does not work anymore, I had to RST the heater, to reset the temperature. Is this a common issue?
Not that I'm aware of. I'd liaise with the person you purchased from or go directly to the manufacturer.
Hi. My Noirot wall heater is set to manual and on however the heat on light is not illuminated. The power light is on. There is no heat. It is hardwired to the wall so taking to a shop is not so easy. Any suggestions to make work ?

Read mored come up. If this process does not reset the heater you will need to take the unit back to the place of purchase.I just bought my heater from Harvey Norman 2wks ago and it was working but now when I turn on the panel lights up for a few seconds with code 2.3 then it goes off and won’t turn back on. I’ve tried holding down the on button but wont turn on. If switched off/on from PowerPoint the panel lights up again with the same code 2.3 and goes off. Any ideas?

Read more have tried multiple wall sockets to error check, incl the one it used to work with. I guess this needs to be taken back to the store for a replacement. It’s a shame as only 2wks old and not working.Update - replaced the heater at Harvey’s and the new one is working well, I think it even heats better than the last one which must have had a faulty control. So far happy, might buy another for the bedroom.
I have recently had one of these installed at home, hardwired in by an electrician, wall mounted, plugged directly into an adjacent power socket. As it’s not 3.5k/w I’m getting charged at the higher rate. If it’s turned off at the power point and never used, can it use power at all? Seems a daft question but my usage seems to be going up and I’ve deliberately not used the heater to test for this.
Cheers
Andrew
Hi, If the heater is turned off at the power point no power should be being used. We would recommend speaking with your electrician.
