Spot Plus 7358-8T (2400W)

I purchased a Noirot panel heater in 2009. I believe it's a 2400w. It has dials. The little red light and the clock is working. But I can't seems to get the heater to work. Am I able to reset. I can't find my manual. Thanks Jo

I want to set the Auto timer. It is on the correct time, P1 start & stop time p2 start & stop time 7 days a week . I would like to use the option 7 days per week. It has all been set but there is a "off" sign auto on the left hand side of the screen so it isn't coming on automatically. Have tried the mode option to turn it on auto but it only responds to manual 'on' to work/warm up- what at am i doing wrong? PS The heater is 6 years old so has the old timer not the new digital one

I've noticed lately after turning off our heater 7358-8 and unplugging it. The plug itself is Hot! So much so I couldn't even hold the plug itself. The cord was warm and gradually got warmer the closer to the plug.

Its plugged directly into the wall with no extension cords etc. Not left on for long periods of time. 2 hours at a time I would say. I've tried different sockets and all get hot.

Is this normal as we have lost trust in the product due to fear of a possible fire...

Just tried to use my Noirot Spot Plus Timer, 7358-7T Electric Panel Heater for first time this year and find even though Unit is in 'manual on' mode and the red power light is on it is not heating. The room is cold and even when the right/temperature setting dial is rotated to the maximum setting the zig-zag light is not lit up and heater remains cold. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance - love this little heater.

Just a question, how long does the smell last? I have been using the heater for about a week. For the first 3 days it didn't seem like there was any smell but from about the fourth day, I could smell the burning smell. It says this is normal but is it meant to smell like this for few days? I am a bit worried after reading a review that there were burnt plastic inside.

Hi Pris,

The smell should only last about a minute as this burns any dust off the element. There are no plastic parts that could melt inside the unit so please return your heater back to place of purchase for testing and assessment. Where if deemed to be faulty and under terms of warranty it will be replaced. Alternatively please contact us on 03 9563 2778 for further assistance.

Hi, we have it set on 15 degrees for over night and have noticed it makes a low pitched buzz for about 10 seconds every 90 seconds ( Aprox). Is this normal? The heater is about 5 weeks old, bought from Harvey Norman NZ

Hi Elle, the Noirot thermostat is accurate to 0.1 of a degree so should be reading accurately. If you have any concerns please take the heater back to place of purchase with receipt and they can inspect the heater for you. Alternatively you can call us Mon-Fri on (03) 9563 2778

It might be what happened to mine. The MODE button had been accidentally pushed. If you keep pushing it til “MANUAL ON” is displayed then the red power light should come on. Good luck.

The plug is heating up to about 40C after an hour or so. I have tried different wall sockets with the same result. Is this considered normal? Jean

Noirot A.Noirot

Hi Jean, your heater is a highly powered heating device and the plug on your appliance may get warm during use, this is perfectly normal. We would recommend your wall sockets are in good condition and the plug is inserted correctly to avoid accidental overheating. Please check the plug and the socket regularly if the heater is being used for prolonged periods. If you have any doubt please consult an electrician or contact us directly on [email protected]
