Not happy

Did not heat up my room at all. Basically had to sitting right near it before feeling any heat. Expensive heater- should work better that this! Very disappointed in this heater. Would not recommend it. Had heat up high, still not feeling any warmth in room. Room not very large.

Fabulous Heater

published

Great heat and non drying. I have attached to wall avoiding the need for casters. Slimlined and modern looking producing a non skin drying heat with a lovely ambiance. I have now used this heater for five years and it has proven to be economical against other forms of heating.

Great heater which warms up the room fast - highly recommended.

published

I love this heater and it kept us warm in the middle of the sydney winter this year! Our flat is quite drafty and this warms up the front room lovely. We roll it in to the bed room about 30mins before we go to bed and switch it on for 5 mins to take the chill out of the room at night. Makes jumping into bed easier in the middle of the winter haha

Would recommend one of these

High quality heater

published

This is a very good quality heater, efficient and effective. Good design (make sure the wheels are in the box, though). The control panel is fairly easy to use, once you get the hang of how it works. You can set it to turn on and off at certain times for each day of the week, or the same time every day. The heater is completely silent, no fans at all. Also comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Excellent Heater

published

The second Noirot heater I've had in my life, gave the first one (had it for 12 years) to a relative and replaced it with this one with the timer. The 1st thing is they have a lifetime replacement warranty, so they are utterly reliable, secondly the thermostat and timer give you that great benefit of saving energy as you need to. Thirdly it's just so wondrfully quiet and finally it heats up nice and quick. Great heater, get one you'll never regret it.

Excellent

published

I bought one just recently to see how it went in my home which has open plan living. I thought I would need to buy another to heat the entire area which is larger than the 20sq they recommend...BUT...I was wrong. This heater warmed up the lounge, dining, kitchen, family room and study. I'm truly amazed and I won't need to buy another. The timer function gives you a nice warm home to wake up too. All my family members love it. I think it is well worth the money as it has a life time guarantee! Much better than a cheap heater that clags it when the warranty does...usually 1 year.

Good stuff

published

It was a gift, yet bought with a discounted price. It has been so far so good in line of positive comments ( Product Review ). Recommended.
PS: I was told the purchase price was around $300 plus ( almost 50% of original price ). It's ideal for a bed room .

Great heater.

published

The noirot is an excellent heater with no noise, smell and comes with a replacement warranty for lifetime. The service center I'm Chatswood is also excellent. I had my first noirot some 7 years ago and it stopped working so I had a replacement promptly provided. The temperature emitted is also even and a consistent heat feels very comfortable.

Not bad

published

Takes a long time to heat anything bigger than a small space, seems to chew power. But the timer features are very handy and given enough time, it heats the space so that it's liveable. Happy enough with it.

Brilliant heater for the bedroom

published

A great heater for the bedroom. Have had a bigger one in the past and just needed something to take the chill of the bedroom and didn't want to run the air conditioner all night. It is brilliant. Absolutely silent and gets nice and warm without being too hot. Comes with a timer and a really easy to use set of buttons to set the temperature. Totally recommend.

Fire hazard

published

We bought the noirot 2000w electronic 2 years ago for around $450 from good guys geelong. It heats the room up excellent but this week we could smell a plastic burning smell. After shining a torch underneath and having a look we could see the plastic bracket that the heating element sits in has completely melted and has turned black. The melted plastic had then seeped along the heating element. It is on the bracket opposite end to the electrical side. I really thought buying the top range heater and trusted brand that this would never happen. But it has and it could have caught fire if not found this early.

Love these heaters

published

I bought 2 different sizes 9 years ago and they haven't let me down. Bought this brand as I'd just had a baby and wanted safe heaters that little hands could touch without burning. They heat up quick and I LOVE the silence. Also LOVE that they don't seem to dehydrate me like a lot of other heat sources do. We have a reverse cycle heat unit where we live now and I hate it!! So noisy and dusty, and you can't snuggle in front of them. So Ive gone back to my trusty old Noirot. I don't know really how cost efficient they are, but they definitely do the job. Yeah the castors are a little clunky, but the units themselves seem robust as we've moved a bunch of times without anything going wrong with either unit.

Works great but could set house on FIRE!

published

I loved this heater; it was safe, kept the whole house warm and I could leave it on all night. However yesterday when vacuuming the house I unplugged it and noticed the power cord is cracked and starting to melt! It has been a very cold winter and we have had it running all night but seriously this is scary and this should not happen! I've had this heater for 4 years; I still have the receipt ( good guys) and the box as it has a lifetime warrranty????
I cannot use it anymore it's a FIRE HAZARD!
