2 weeks to deliver from 4km away shop.
I have ordered Monday and got tracking the next day expected to arrive on Wednesday. And now I’m still waiting and expecting to receive in the next 10 days. Do not believe on their next day delivery it’s absolute rubbish! Do not trust their mailman service as well! They will take 2 months to arrive. Once I receive my current order I will never ever use any of the officeworks again. I never had a good experience with them. Absolutely bad customer service even their store which I went on Thursday.

Seems like Covid-19 Destroyed them!
I live rural and ordered a desk for “click and collect” that was in stock, with the estimate of it being ready in 2 hours. Later that day, I get an email saying it’s no longer in stock. Tracking says it will be in a few days.
Fast forward to now, over 2 weeks later. Tracking updates every few days to a later date (now next Tuesday), but the progress bar is not moving.
You can’t call them, and they cite Covid-19 as the reason. You can email them - I did - and they likely won’t reply. It’s been 16 days since my email.
Here is the issue, Covi...Read more
d-19 aside: their click-and-collect system has a “lag” because it’s tied to products on the floor, not in the back, and setting those aside is not a priority. A simple ‘sold’ sticker system would alleviate this, but they are clearly too cheap to do so. I have to go to a store to deal with this, which is a 1.5 hour drive away. I guess I’ll just wait until July when the desk is finally there, go get it and then never deal with them again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Futile delivery
Ordered an item on Saturday that was booked for delivery Tuesday. No one was home when the courier arrived, so the Futile Delivery Team (an apt name) sent me a text. I replied telling them I'd be home from work before 9am Wednesday (today). The item is now booked for delivery Thursday, with no guarantee there'll be anyone home to receive it. If I'd read the reviews on this site beforehand, there's no way I would have ordered from Officeworks Online and I certainly won't again. And apparently, Redland City is regional and isn't eligible for free...Read more
delivery. Update: The item actually arrived on the Wednesday, but it was in a box big enough for at least 6 of them, with no packing around it. It still doesn't show as delivered in their system, the next day.

Fast shipping, user-friendly website, great selection, price and everything came as described
Ordered some kids art and craft supplies, website is easy to use with variety and great price. I was so surprised to see same day delivery for orders over 55 $ if order is made before 11.30. I gave it a try and so it did. It arrived the same day. Highly respected for those who made it happened during this Covid-19 crisis.

Removal of collage prints in new online photo ordering
In creating the new online photo system, it may be faster to upload (I am not sure as I didn't get to try this). Thankfully they kept the photos from my account that I had previously taken hours to upload, but they have taken away the simple collage print option away that was available in the previous system. This I require for my business to create collages of photos for the children (I just needed a 6 x 4 in half). WHy on earth has this option been removed! You will not get my business now for photos! This is all I need to print, and had a good price. Why on earth would you remove it! It makes no difference to you!

Epson A1 Printer sold with no ink
We purchased the Epson T3160N based on the cost and also the fact we had trouble with a previous HP Printer.
After spending $1200 you would think it would come with ink!
It comes with what it calls initial ink!
Printed 8 pages and it now says low ink and wont print.
Now have to spend another $300 on new cartridges!
Truly a disgrace on Epson's part as it was never mentioned in any literature or sales pitch.

Crap ordering - Click bait - not click and collect
Went online to order 2 laptop computers that were shown as being in-store and 2 headsets (granddaughters homeschooling). Order accepted, it is not possible to contact store or any Officeworks staff and 21/2 hours later got the message "Unfortunately order unsuccessful". In that time I could have bought the same 2 computers from Harvey Norman, who are now out of stock. The problem for Officeworks is that I buy extensive Officeworks products Melbourne to Cairns. No longer and also will instruct all family members not to deal with Officeworks. Absolutely disappointed, reflects poorly on the company. Should not be attributed to covid 19,

Varta Universal Charger
Ordered a Varta Universal Battery Charger on 31 Mar 2020 - $29.95. Picked it up 1 April 2020 from the Mandurah store. Does not work Puzzled. I have several rechargeable batteries and they failed to light up to indicate the charger was working. Had to rub the positive and negative points against the charger and for a very short while the lights appeared. Then the charger stopped doing what it is supposed to do. The product is not worth the money being asked for it. I will be returning the product and asking for a refund.

shocking service and communication
placed order and received a delivery day, waited home all day, it didn't arrive so checked tracking the delivery was put forward, it has now been put forward 3 times, sent them an email, no response, if amazon, apple can deliver on time or in most cases before their stated delivery date, why can't officeworks? i am sure their volumes are much greater than theirs.working from home and need this piece equipment.

Scanning a document and putting on the USB
I went to office works fountain gate on 5th of April 2020 to have my daughters birth certificate scanned on my USB . A lady served me . She was very abrupt not friendly her tone of voice so bad and talked to me like I was a dog . I also asked her that I wanted to send the document sent to my daughters email . Her listening skills were very bad . She only heard half of what I requested . She scanned the document n then asked me to come to the other counter for me to pay . When I paid and asked if I could send it to my email . She acted as if I n...Read more
ever told her to send it to the email in the first place . She also did not even say thank you to me . It saddens me to see that if a business is open it is primordial to still give an excellent customer service despite the covid 19 . I am a customer that brings revenue to your store . I need to be treated with respect at all times .Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Delivery - what delivery
As one of those high risk to Covid19, and thus confined to the home, my power lead broke. As the computer is my window to the world, I ordered one for home delivery. The date for its arrival kept moving, which is fine as some delay is expected, however it was delivered today to a newsagent which is further away than the store! I was in all day, so lazy courier. On checking the status of my order it is still outstanding and due for delivery next week. I had already sent an email requesting a status update, no reply to it. Poor customer service and I will certainly not be using this company again.

Mistakes by Online Handled well Instore
A mistake was made when delivering my fitbit to the Bathurst Store, when I opened the box there was a random item inside. They looked after me straight away, they called the head office to get approval to give me the same fitbit from instore so I would not have to wait. I did have to wait 15minutes or so but it was fixed then and there as a matter of priority from the Physical store and that is all I could ask for.

Not taking phone calls. Wasted time going to store multiple times.
I understand that things are a bit tough with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but OfficeWorks have implemented a terrible policy by not allowing people to call the stores to check if stock is available. I could not order anything online so the only remaining option was to visit a store. I did this multiple times in the past few days just to find out that they don't have any stock (the staff members even refused to go have a look out the back). Complete waste of time and put myself at risk multiple times because they refuse to allow phone calls and you can't order anything online. Ended up spending my $500 elsewhere. Won't be going back.

Awful!! customer service is awful
I purchased a monitor which was available for click and collect on Five Dock store 2 days later. so I bought it. on the due date, I called the store and all phone numbers but my calls being dropped!! so I had to go to the store in this situation of Coronavirus and put my health at risk. no ones in store don't know when I can get it, they even didn't make a call to give me a response. then, collection date being postponed for another day and then, every day they have been changing it.
I sent couple of messages through their website, no one ans...Read more
wering!! I called couple of times, but based on the store manager, head office dropped down all the calls because of customer inquiries! but they don't keep anyway for a customer to contact them. and when you asking a simple question they just say "WE DON'T KNOW" all of their staff! I think the only one knows something is their CEO who dropped all the calls!! Finally, today after all my search on the internet, Linkedin and all available online platforms, I got someone in call and ask for my order. she said it's being dropped down in the warehouse but don't know when you can collect!! I'm really surprised no one knows anything in this company. Now, I can't buy anything from any store with this price as nothing is available, and the Officework does not help at all. I asked for the supply chain management system to respond but get nothing, asked the customer service center and get nothing, asked the store manager and get nothing. She offered me to refund my money, but now I can't buy anything with that money!! after one week they just useless!! she was shouting me on the phone I don't know!! I don't have access more, I can't check it for you and go ask the warehouse department. But, I don't have the warehouse department number! how can I follow up? is there anybody here to understand responsibility? who's responsible and who support the customer?Similar opinion? Confused
Not understanding the miss communication with office works, needed new computer for work and placed the order for pickup at a store due to being led to belief that it was in stock a local store. Later to find out that it was not and need to be delivered from warehouse. I was given a date of 31 March 2022 as pick up from store but when i went into store to query the order i was told it would take a week and if i wanted to cancel the order i would have to call the 1300 number and or wait until it arrived for refund. I called the 1300 number and n...Read more

Would NEVER bye a laser tablet again!
I brought a laser tablet, only had it for 2 weeks. It sometimes played up went very slow, one day i put it down on the bed and walked off, came back and notice the screen was all cracked, i felt the screen couldnt feel it cracked on the outside, it was all under the screen, you couldn't see anything on the screen when unlocking it. Took it back to the store ask for them to fix it, they told me they could sent it away but i would have to pay for it, asked how much it would cost they said $100. ( thats what i payed for the tablet)

Unreliable click and collect made worse by shocking service
I ordered and paid for 2 laptops for my kids who need to do online schooling due to COVID. I ordered click and collect so I didn’t have to spend much time in the store with kids. The site said they were in stock and click and collect is ready within 2 hours. I went in 3 hours later and no record of order. I check my email and have received one saying order under review. Nobody in the store knows what this means and the checkout assistant tells me rather rudely that I must call the 1300 number. I would expect them to call for me but I reluctantl...Read more
y agree. When I connect it says delays of up to one hour. I complain to the checkout lady and she shrugs her shoulders. I go and ask someone else to see a manager. A lady eventually ambles over and asks if she can help. I say I am waiting to see a manager and she says ‘yes.’ I say ‘are you the manager’ and she says ‘yes.’ I am already highly frustrated and it is clear this manager has no customer service training whatsoever or if she has, she slept through the class. Surely you would introduce yourself as the manager as a good starting point?? Anyway as it transpires she tells me to call the 1300 number in the same surly manner as the First Lady. So, I storm out of the store, kids in tow. About 20 minutes later a friendly lady answers the phone and informs me that my order is under review because it is for more than $1000 and needs extra security checks. Fair enough, but it would have helped if the website stated this. She fast tracks the approval and I receive notification the order is approved about half an hour later. Soon after that I receive an email saying the stock is unavailable - I am exasperated. My wife goes to the store and nobody could help her which is disappointing since the stock is coming from that store (Southport QLD). I call the 1300 number again and after 70 minutes someone answers and can’t tell me when the stock might arrive. Since I need it within 2 days, I ask if I can change to another laptop. I am given a story about refunds and warranties that I do not believe for a second as a reason why not. Anyway I ask for a refund and agree to purchase another laptop. The closest they can get me to what I ordered is a couple of hundred dollars more. I ask them to honour the original price which he refuses saying the margin is not high enough to discount. This tells me they would prefer to make a small profit from me than sell me something at a lower margin and avoid me sharing the story with many people. From this experience it is clear to me that Officeworks’ customer and distribution systems are inflexible and inefficient and I would shop anywhere else before I shopped there in future. For the record, I got the same 2 laptops from Harvey Norman with a minimum of fuss and saved $500Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My click and collect never arrives at my designated store. Looking at Officeworks tracking I see that the item has been “picked” at the wharehouse but delivery gets pushed back daily. This has been going on for over one month. What is going on? Impossible to phone Officeworks, they have turned off their phones and emails don’t get answered. Come on! Other companies are doing better than this despite Covid 19.
1 answer
Yeah I experienced what you are experiencing at the moment, you can't phone the specific shop where you ordered your items. I emailed Officeworks but of no avail. All you can do is call 1300 OFFICE (633 423). That is their customer service hotline, it would take forever before someone attends to you but just wait. It took me roughly 30 minutes before a customer service representative assisted me with my inquiry. Good luck mate! Hope you get your items sorted.
