Great air con for a large space
We have a large 8kw cooling/9kw heating model of this air conditioner. In our house it is set up to cool the main portion of the house (2 living spaces, the kitchen and hallway – we will typically have the doors to the bedrooms shut to minimize the already large space it is cooling). We have had it for just over a year (2 summers) and it has worked really well in cooling down the space to a comfortable, not freezing, temperature. We have it set around 24 (or 27 on really scorching days) degrees during the day and early evening. Living in QLD ...Read more
we have not had the need to give the heating a really good run for it money but they odd occasion we have used it it has worked well. We have found it has added about $70 to our quarterly electricity bill running it about 10 hours a day 4 or 5 days a week over the summer. The unit i quiet and easy to use. The condenser part of the unit is very big so you need adequate space to set it up and it really blows out a lot of hot air so positioning in the right place is important. I would happily recommend this unit.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Air con unit
Have a 8kw system and found it to be a great air con during the summer months, the unit is fairly quite however if turned on powerful mode setting it may have a small rattle inside. Controls and setting are easy to use besides setting timers is a rather complicated process.

Awesome
This unit is amazing, cools my whole house down in summer to the point at night we don't need it on. Knocks the humidity out totally with living in Queensland. Very quiet wouldn't know it was one. Installation was so easy. The units control panel is so easy to use and simple to operate

Hasn't missed a beat
Had this aircon installed 5 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat. Was installed in a very big room and it copes fine. A little noisy on the highest fan settings but once the room cools it can be turned down to suit. If I had my time over I'd look at a Mitsibushi next time as I was in a holiday home with one which was near silent.

No noise running
I live this aircon as it is a inverter unit. Don't use much electricity at all. My 13 year old son has dust allergies and with the built in air purifier he had no problems. It get the house cool in summer and warm in winter. Way cheaper to run than a gas heater. With the remote controlled and timer one has to do little to be really comfertable. I can recomend this aircon to anyone.

Excellent value for the price
I had a huge old Fujitsu die in February, after nearly 25 years. I chose the Panasonic for our house, due to a recommendation from an acquaintance who is an Air-Con specialist, and I'm glad that I followed his advise. I've found the 9 kw to be plenty of power to cool the house on hot days. It's the usual maxim - always buy at least one size larger than you think you need, & you won't be disappointed. For cold weather, I think it's better to use "Heat" cycle, at a slightly lower temp than you think you'd need, on a low fan speed, and it graduall...Read more
y warms the house beautifully. I prefer that, rather than leave it on Automatic, as it then wants to auto-correct the temp by occasionally pumping out cool air at times, to even out the temperature. All the remote controls are very simple to use. I would buy this machine again if I needed a third one.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best air con ever
We purchased a new air conditioner last year in November as our old air conditioner was 14 years old and had past it's use by date we looked at many different air conditioners and the sales person told us panasonic Econvani Reverse cycle was quiet to operate and was good for people with allergies and asthma, I was worried that it was not going to be powerful enough for our large living area my concerns where put at ease as it is the best air conditioner we have purchased it is so powerful we freeze so have to adjust the settings.

Need this conditioner for our hot Outback summers
Very happy with our purchase of the quiet mod, Reverse Cycle Inverter Panasonic CS/CU- Z28RKR unit, it easily cools down the open plan living area our home and heats it in the winter.
The unit was easy to install with our electrician taking only one hour to replace our old Panasonic unit. We had a quick explanation of how to operate the unit and find changing the settings, temperature control and from heat to cool and easy process.
We are happy with our Reverse Cycle Inverter Panasonic CS/CU- Z28RKR unit. The unit takes us from summer to winter with a press of our remote control.

I have the 8kw unit and am finding it slow to respond when switching to heat mode in the morning. It takes at least 10minutes to fire up. My previous model Panasonic is almost instant. Also some features such as the air swing are not activating and it seems to hunt around the set temperature. The unit was just installed. Any suggestions?
1 answer
It won't start until the air coming out of it is pretty warm, so perhaps your external unit is in a very cold place in the morning?
You should check what settings you have turned on, as well, cos the Econavi and iAutoX are designed to adapt the temperature based on light/movement/... . The air swing should work as soon as air is flowing. If it isn't and you definitely have it set to Auto, then perhaps the unit is faulty.

I have no idea but there are loads of air con size calculators online or most places will come out and give you a free size estimation pre purchase. I did this through the good guys recommended installer as my area was a weird shape so i wasnt sure which size
Thanks bliss sounds great will try it out.
Have you rang Panasonic themselves and asked for their advice? They must have reps or someone that can answer that one properly.
