Great value insurance policy for our beloved family dog. The claim process is easy and quick - which was so comforting when a paralysis tick took hold. Thank you PIA for taking some of the stress away.

Our cats have been with PIA for over 2 years now - IMO they are fairly priced, and when we have had to put a claim through it was really easy and the process went relatively smoothly. I couldn't recommend PIA enough, especially after all the visits to a specialist we had to take one of our cats to.

I found the claim took a long time over a month. I kept getting letters in the mail asking for info which wasnt actually needed and a phone call would have been easier! They only paid for the surgery no pre or post consults which are needed and should have been claimable. The customer service people are nice though and the premium is well priced. I wont switch but think perhaps some limits on services need to be addressed as it doesnt cover the full procedure from start to finish.

i have had PIA comprehensive insurance for both my dachshunds for over 5 years and i have found it fantastic ! so easy to claim and the super fast turnaround gives me a great deal of confidence ! it’s all processed at the vets and in my account within 2-3 days !

Great service and very helpful. Great policy but a little expensive. We have been with PIA for 11 years. Claims have always been processed quickly and efficiently. Can recommend to anybody.

I've had to claim on my insurance for my dog twice, and both times the claiming process has been easy to understand and a quick response. I got my money back within a few weeks and had no issues at all.

Seriously I’m so over this company.. staff need too be trained on what there doing.. claims take so long.. spoke with a manager about a claim told me I would be getting paid next day it’s been nearly a week later still nothing.. wish I would of been told this was gonna be a horrible service never would off signed up.. ready too go with another company.. don’t waste ur time

We had to make 2 claims in the past year and both were dealt with efficiently and fairly.
The only quibble is the request for online reporting, which the vote overcame for us.

When I was looking for pet insurance I chose PIA because they had the best reviews.
I signed my pup up when she was 10 weeks old. At 5 months she got sick and we had to make two claims within two weeks already. I got my money back the week after for both!
I highly recommend them!

I have had both my Shelties insured with PIA for some years and have made a few large claims. My most recent claim of $12,000 was pre-approved for gap cover, which was a huge relief. I did not have $12,000 to pay the vet bill up front and I am so grateful this option was available. Every claims process has been hassle free and the refund is always in my bank account quickly. I will definitely continue to insure with PIA.

I have been using Pet Insurance Australia for both of my dogs for nearly 10 years. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact, I have recommended them to a lot of people. So far they have been easy to deal with and all my eligible claims, from elbow dysplasia surgery to stereotactic radio therapy, have been paid for no questions asked and now they got even better with gap only.

We have had our policy for 12 months and although it's not all been smooth sailing when we did have a serious issue with our dog and there was a substantial claim, PIA were efficient and helpful and paid out almost immediately.

I have a 14month old puppy and we took out pet insurance with PIA in her first year. In that year we had 1 vet visit and then when it came around to renewing our policy I got hit with a 24% increase and was not even notified! It was only due to the fact that I saw the expense hit my account. When I called to ask why the increase was so much I was told it was due to my dogs age ....UMMMMMM 14months???!!! Extremely strange and extortion if you ask me. I have cancelled my insurance and have gone else where. Beware the yearly premium increases!!

My 4 years old retriever who has been with Pet Insurance Australia since she was 2 months old and we have had to make claims and getting reimbursed for majority of her vet works. She had 2 cruciate ligaments surgeries recently and both were covered by the insurance up to a certain limit & claiming is quite easy and quick turnaround to have the reimbursement back to our account.
The call centre are great to deal with and we are quite happy with them and has recommended them to our friends & families.

Our pup broke a tooth and needed surgery to remove, found out not covered. No dental ever. I was paid exgratia without requesting, was pleasantly surprised with a $700 refund

I have two beautiful Frenchies insured with PIA, and have had to make a couple of claims over the past year. PIA have always been incredibly customer focused, clear and concise with their requirements around the claims and I was very satisfied with the time frame around settlement of the claim. Whenever I have had to call to speak with someone, I have found the customer service people very friendly and knowledgable over the phone, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend PIA to any pet owner.
