This is a hard review for me to do. I think this machine is a very good machine. I've had different machines like this "pod style" and by far this is the best one i've had. What I really like about the machine is as follows: heats up very quickly, coffee produced from machine is very hot!! Hottest coffee I've had from a pod machine, the milk frother is attached to the machine so no need for 2 cords "fantastic!" and the machine is nice looking. had finger prints on the pod door?? opening shoot lever??, and I wiped and wiped and they still didn't really come out. Also, this machine, the goldish/brassy color on the top is very hard to keep clean. Any little mark and the machine looks dirty. Think fingerprints on a phone screen. I wish it held more water. 1 litre of water is very small when you have 3 people drinking full double shot coffees from machine. Milk frother works excellent but holds only enough for one cup of coffee so even though you can make two shots at once, you're only making milk for one and you have to start over.....meanwhile, one of your shots is now cold. Then again it depends on you and how much milk you want in your coffee so that could be subjective. It makes a very quick cup of hot coffee. There's very little clean up. Much faster and cleaner than making a shot from a big espresso machine, so that's a bonus, but the coffee your drinking is not comparable to your big espresso machines. Last but not least, the coffee from this machine is subjective "I don't like it", but I'm not rating the coffee here, and I didn't include the coffee in the review points. In fact, this machine is fantastic!! I just need to find a coffee I like and I'll be satisfied. I would honestly give it 4 out of 5 stars and most people would love this machine. It's a very good machine and this is the fourth pod style machine of it's kind that I've owned. The best one out of the kind I've owned. I bought this machine because our Breville Pro Espresso Machine just died and it's not a good time for us to buy a new Espresso machine 2 weeks before Christmas and we had been drinking instant coffee for a few days and decided this would be a better alternative than instant. I'm not sure it's better than instant. Actually, if you have a good instant coffee I wouldn't bother with one of these machines. It doesn't have any better coffee quality than instant, but!!! I'm going to try to find different pods to put through machine. I might even order some from Nespresso and that's another bonus about this machine!!! You have the ability to use many different pods from a variety of sources and they're easy to find. They're sold throughout Woolworths and Coles stores and you have a huge choice of coffee companies to choose from... unliike the Nespresso machine who lock you into their pods that you have to either go to a Nespresso store or order online. Which I don't like the idea of.

Excellent Machine and Great Coffee to Boot
I and my wife love this machine and we are very happy with the purchase.
Myer was having a $50 off sale and with the $50 Cash Back we saved a huge amount of money so what was a $249 machine turned out to cost us only $149.
Add to that they also have an offer that gives you 50 capsules for free as part of the Redemption offers.
It is a great machine well built and easy to use the best thing it comes with a Milk Frother so it's a great mix of Coffee and Milk in one system.

Perfect coffee every time!
I love this machine it is so easy to use and the coffee is amazing, perfect every time! If as suggested in the instructions you run a shot of hot water into your cup before inserting a pod then the coffee temperature is definitely hot, a perfect drinking temperature.
I bought my machine from Myer and was so impressed that I bought one for my son and his wife who also find it fantastic, so quick and easy to make a great morning coffee, I always want a second cup!

The aluminium pods are easy to recycle, Planet Ark have many collection points at florists etc. I scoop out the coffee grains and compost them, rinse the pod, when stacked together they take up very little space.

Horrible coffee
I have been a fan of L'or pods over the years so these machines are a big disappointment.
Not only was the coffee lukewarm, it had a very burned taste to it.
This might be a matter of trying different pod flavors however the machine should be hotter than this - lukewarm at best.

y agree there might be something up. Therefore, we'd recommend to contact us on 1300 363 391 - as this allows us to look into this a bit better. Indeed, the cups that you've tried so far could be of a darker roast than you're used to, so it's good to also try a couple of different ones (perhaps a type of pod that you're already accustomed to, from before). On first impression, the coffee machine looks so elegant and sophisticated. It is compact which makes it a good addition to even the smallest of kitchen spaces. My morning ritual!
Thought the coffee machine was very easy to use! The coffee came out fantastic. Perfect for early mornings! The capsules are double shot, which was perfect for me as I love a double shot latte.

Stylish machine which makes great coffee.
This machine is beautiful! It is sleek and stylish and looks wonderful on my kitchen bench. The gold on black gives it a look of luxury. I really liked that the machine was so easy to use. It simply required taking out of the box. Nothing to assemble or put together. Very easy to use.
The coffee tastes great, and is of high quality for a home brew product. There are many flavours to suit all tastes and even the decaf makes for great drinking.
Unfortunately, I did not receive a machine with a milk frother. I think the frother would be a perfect partner to the machine. Overall, I recommend this machine. Its ability to brew two coffees at a time is so handy and the price is not too high.

Any Nespresso* compatible hot chocolate capsules will fit the L’OR machines and are available in supermarkets.
When I make hot chocolate I just use the milk heater/frother on my L’OR to heat the milk and use regular drinking chocolate powder in the mug, just as easy as a capsule and cheaper.

How to heat milk up with the milk frother? I followed the instruction below from L'OR website. But, the temperature of the milk wasn't changed.(I used milk stored in refrigerator). brewing coffee works fine. I purchased my machine a few days ago. Does it mean my coffee machine is broken? or did I miss something? Your answer would be appreciated. Please.

You can use your L'OR Milk Frother to heat milk without frothing it.
1. Detach the metal whisk from one side first
2. Remove the metal whisk and press the power button to heat up the milk
The milk is heated up to approx 74°C to ensure the best froth and taste. Milk
proteins start to break down and burn if the milk is overheated."
