Bumped price by 50%

published

Quoted installation was bumped up by 50% on the day of installation. Not happy. Now I have to find another installer.

Dodgy Installation

published

Paid $5000.00 to supply and installation, only to find out that there was no drainage system installed. Thus leaks has occurred. Company has now closed down.
Bonaire factory aust. Based refuses to assist in warranty and doesn't want to know anything about it.
Never again, worst customer service. Will not recommend to anybody at all even its free of charge.

Poor

published

We had a central heating unit installed by Pulbrook Air. We had to get them back a couple of times due to ducts coming loose under the house. After having the unit serviced, the guy was amazed at how poorly the unit was installed. The wrong sized ducts were used for our unit and the supply duct was not properly connected to the heater. There was no condensate drain in place.

Prompt Service and well Priced

published

Our Heater packed up and we called them to see if they could get a new one installed as it was freezing cold in the house. They were able to get here within 24 hours and changed the heater over within a couple of hours. I asked about zone controlling as the new heater was an upgraded model and it was pretty cheap to do so we did it while they were there. There's bad reviews on here but I really couldn't fault the work they did. They also installed evap cooling to our home around 10 years ago (which is why I called them for the heater) and 10 years on it's still going strong.

Tried to get out of paying manufacturer cash back offer

published

I had a system installed in 2015, and selected Pulbrook Air on the basis that there was a $250 cash back applicable from the supplier which is what I was told by the owner of the company when quoting and putting a deposit down. (It's written on the invoice).
I had to go through consumer affairs, and numerous emails/phone calls for months to get this refund. Just a bad experience all round. Won't expect any after sales support I'll be going straight to the manufacturer.

shoddy workmanship had to have three visits to get serious issues fix just had to pay out $240 to find out the ducting was cooling the underneath of the house.
Cold flo here excellent. - Just hope it is true that Pulbrook has been liquidated!

After Sales = Non Existent

published

Their after sales service is non existent. I was told they would submit the paper work to the manufacturer for the extra warranty which was not done. After many calls to the receptionist who would not connect me to Peter or give me his mobile number I gave up. My unit rusted from the inside out due to condensation. The unit should have been under warranty if the paper work was sent in. I don't know why this happened, why my calls were never returned or why I could not speak to one of the managers. Fortunately for me the manufacturer did replace my unit but the stress that Pulbrook Air put me through makes it impossible to recommend them. I spent 4 months without any heating during winter.

Poor Workmanship & No After Sales Service.

published

I had this business install both ducted heating & ducted evaporative cooling in my home. Their installer put his foot through the ceiling then left not saying a word. The cooler failed to work and I had to call a Brivas Serviceman. He said that it hadn't been wired properly, the inspection platform was too far away from the unit & the inspection light switch wasn't located properly. On closer inspection of the house I found several holes poked through the ceiling in various locations and not filled. After speaking to Paul Pulbrook & his office assistant they said they'd have it fixed, but then said I'd have to pay extra to have the problems their people caused rectified.
