We got the system two years back. System is working fine but the safety glass has shattered without any reason. Safety glass itself costed us $1000. We switched on the system after it's been switched off during summer. And, in few minutes, the glass shattered itself for no reason and glass pieces were scattered all over the room. Excuse by company that they can't do anything and glass cannot crash without reason. Waste of $1K which by no means is a small amount.
My recommendation never buy the safety glass.
Purchased at Fyshwick Home and Heating for $9,900.

We installed a 3 sided pure vision fireplace (you can see through it from 3 sides). It will give you some heat if you sit on top of it but it's a decorate element only so don't install it thinking its not. We knew it was a big expense for something that just looks nice. A couple of years down the track and it's failed 3 times - as we only use it for a bit of decoration it's hardly been used so our many thousands (it was $5-$6k from memory) it's a total giant fail. Read moret - I reckon it costs them maybe $500 to manufacture. What a total rort! The huge expense comes when you have to pay your builder and a plumber to install it - reckon on at least $5k all up to get something looking nice but not flash. Would I buy it again ? No, I would look at another brand that offers the same "look" but can be ducted for heating like some Escea models.Purchased at Real Flame for $6,000.

We have a pure vision 1800 with a power flu, just recently when we turn it on it lights for approx 1minute then cuts out and then within 2 seconds it relights itself, it continues to come on and off for some time then cuts off completely, the unit is approx 10 years old but hardly been used, any advice would be appreciated
