Expensive problem
We installed a 3 sided pure vision fireplace (you can see through it from 3 sides). It will give you some heat if you sit on top of it but it's a decorate element only so don't install it thinking its not. We knew it was a big expense for something that just looks nice. A couple of years down the track and it's failed 3 times - as we only use it for a bit of decoration it's hardly been used so our many thousands (it was $5-$6k from memory) it's a total giant fail. When you look at it, it's just a steel box, a bag of rocks and a flue thats i...Read more
t - I reckon it costs them maybe $500 to manufacture. What a total rort! The huge expense comes when you have to pay your builder and a plumber to install it - reckon on at least $5k all up to get something looking nice but not flash. Would I buy it again ? No, I would look at another brand that offers the same "look" but can be ducted for heating like some Escea models.Purchased at Real Flame for A$6,000.00.

Very disappointed
Purchased a Realflame Pure vision 1500. Approx $8500. Had to pay builders and gas fitters much more to install.
I am very upset with this purchase as the heater produces hardly any heat which was not advised and the mirrored stainless steel back warps like a fun house mirror.
The flames are also impossible to see during the day, so the whole costly effect is pointless. Real Flame have not got back to me and have been no help at all. I will not let this go and will be taking it further.

Terrible
All you get for your money is a tin box with a gas burner and a couple of bits of glass. What you see in the photo is what you then have to pay your builder to do. Real Flame, get real!
no heat - big money

Hi
We have a pure vision 1800 with a power flu, just recently when we turn it on it lights for approx 1minute then cuts out and then within 2 seconds it relights itself, it continues to come on and off for some time then cuts off completely, the unit is approx 10 years old but hardly been used, any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

I couldn't agree more. The paint peels off all the surfaces and looks dreadful and the company takes no responsibility for a poor product.
