The bike arrived quick but it also arrived with a dent and random scratches all over it, the gear mechanism was faulty too, like it had been bent in transit. I emailed them back and forth but their responses were useless. In the end I took it to a professional to get it fixed and he agreed it wasn't a problem with the way it was put together but it had been damaged. I'm just really disapointed in the responses I got from Reid. Won't recommend! !
Bought a bike in Sep 2014, bike was delivered to my house nearly 90% intact, only had to fit the pedals and handle bars and I adjusted the brakes. I went on two rides 89k and 63k over a few weeks and the bike rode well. However during the Round the Bay the rear Dérailleur got caught in the spokes and completely smashed it. Read moreht this was a joke. If they expect every bike sold on line to be assembled by a bike mechanic nobody would buy on line. You might as well shop at a reputed bike shop rather than buying on line. It is a risk you take which you may be very sorry about. The bike is currently in Reid's workshop and I am awaiting their verdict. So far they have only committed to replace broken parts at cost price to me plus labour. I bought a falco advanced road bike on line and had it freighted to hervey bay queensland. After assembling it as per instructions went for a ride and the gears slipped and the front deraileur did not move at all.
When i contacted reid cycles i was informed that it need adjusting and i would have to take it to a bike mechanic at my cost to get it fixed. Surely when you buy a new bike you would think that the gears would be already set up. The bike is good but make sure if you buy one you have access to one of their retail outlets or you will be paying extra to have it fixed

Read more be adjusted and we include instructions on how to do this. This bike has a Shimano drivetrain and our products and systems have been certified by SAI Global. It is just the nature of buying geared bicycles and having them delivered I'm afraid.
sorry but there are no instructions on how to tune the gears and the bike arrived in good order so the gears on the bike must be very out of tune before the bike leaves the factory as they could not possibly be that far out

I bought a Reid bike before, it's still working fine.
And this time I am getting two more bikes. The Condor racing bike for myself and the Lady bike for sister.
I put the order through on Monday and received the calls to pick up in the afternoon.
It's great values for money. I'd recommended to everyone.
Friendly and helpful staff.
They should completely assembled the bike and make it ready instead of making you wait for some 10 minutes plus. But otherwise it's all fine.

Don't buy, the parts came all bent and the gears and back derailer break easily, and chain comes off when changing gears, the chain gets caught up in the wheel. Don't buy if you don't wanted to be disappointed. If you search in google 'reid cycles' it says free shipping australia wide. But no had to pay $80 to get it shipped. Should have known better the price says it all along with he review marjority would not buy ever again from redi cyles. Not easy to assemble no instructions, had to watch a stupid video. Horrible horrible, words can't describe how much i hate reid cycles! Advice: dont buy, go to others maybe expensive buy way better. Explore other options. Biggest regret spending more than $300 to get it.

Read more talk to the delivery people and review how they deliver so bad parts become bent and broken.I ordered my Condor road bike yesterday afternoon online and decided to pick it up from the store myself as it is fairly close. I was told to wait for a call from the store to go pick it up. I decided to go in today anyway, I was there when they opened and asked if they had received my order yet and sure enough they had it. The guy serving me went out back and came back with my bike a couple of minutes later and said " here you go it's all your". So within 5 minutes I had my bike and was on my way home again! I took it out for a spin, about 14 km and I am very happy so far!
Will update on condition on bike after using it for a while.
So don't believe all the bad reviews, just give it a try
Cheap, friendly staff, good for students
I bought a cane basket from them online where they said they would try to dispatch the order in 24 hours. I popped in the store the following day as I was riding past and was told they couldn't give me the basket since no orders had came through yet. I emailed them with a question about my item (if someone other than me could pick it up) and was sent an automatic message. Now, 5 days after placing the order online I still have not heard from them and can't pick it up in store even though they have lots of the same basket on display on the store.

It is extremely hard to express in un-offensive words how furious i am with this company and their shady business model and practices. I'd strongly urge anyone not to buy from them, their bikes are cheap for a reason and they do not deserve your business!

We called reid to make sure they bike had been sent out and they told us to call the courier company. They explained that they were still waiting on the second parcel, which had absolutely no tracking information but if we wanted they could send the first package alone. The basket arrived on the 22nd of january with still no information on the bike. I called reid on the 22nd to see where the bike was they said they'd look into it for me and call me back the following day. 2 days later i get a call back saying that a blue vintage bike had been sent back to their warehouse and they were sorry for the mix up, the bike would be sent out on the 28th. By the 31st there had still been no tracking information and no bike so i called again. This time i was told this was all very strange sorry for the mix-up etc, they said the bike had been sent out and it should arrive by monday (the 3rd) and in the mean time they would call the courier and ask them to scan the bike so we it would show up on tracking. Come the 4th still no bike! I called again very frustrated and disappointed, this time i was told the bike had been sent out should be there soon and in the same sentence that they were all out of stock and awaiting a shipment!!! I was then asked if i wanted to put myself down for a pre-order to which i replied no i would like my money back! They got all sorry and apologetic but when i asked for the money back for my now useless basket they got snarky and rude. I was beyond furious! I had purchase the bike nearly two months ago and although the staff were very polite and friendly on the phone i was repeatedly lied to!! The lies continued when i emailed them requesting my money back, again they asked if i was sure i didn't want the bike as they would be getting more in 'late this week, early next week'. I did still want the bike, so i asked if they could guarantee an arrival date i would consider it. They then responded by saying they would have no blue bikes until the 18th but i could get a mint green if i wanted….Again lied to! What happened to arriving this week, early next week!? I would never recommend this company, their bikes are cheap for a reason. For a few $100 extra you can buy equally or more beautiful bikes from local retailers, who won't lie to you or take your money with false pretences. Ordered 2 bikes online, including some small stuff like helmet, led lights etc...
2 Bikes we ordered didn't state anything that its out of stock.
Waited about 2 weeks. Within this 2 weeks, i called 4 times,
first 2 calls, i asked to change one of the bike to another model, then i called back to stick to the original order.
Second call, still nothing, call them they said 1 of the bike is out of stock. (Already losing trust)
Third call was on the weekend, they gave assurance that the bike will arrive within 2 days, (Tuesday or Wednesday to save themselves)

Took two and a half months to get my bike and no one cared to track my order or call me back. I'm worried after reading other reviews that city hybrid will break. Horrible customer service and if they actually gave a stuff, I'd make an official complaint but Reid cycles won't care.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I couldn't view the bike, however the bikes were a great price and I had read many good reviews. Once the bike arrived I assembled it and gave it a good inspection. I was really surprised how good the bike is. I'm an engineer and the bikes are very well built from a technical perspective, much better than similar bikes our local shop sells for $599. Very happy to recommend this product.

I'd been in the market for a new bike for a while and didn't want to spend a fortune on one, also didn't want to buy a cheap department store bike.

Fantastic service…arrived within a week and was exactly what I wanted…my bike gives me the opportunity to take quick trips to the local shops for groceries and I can now take rides with my two boys who think it's pretty cool their mum has wheels. I am totally happy and my husband is now buying a harrier!
inexpensive, cool & freeing!
I'm a kiwi customer who has just bought the harrier in chrome. You cant get anything as remotely cool or as remotely cheap over here, makes me wonder how the heck they make em for that!! cannot fault the bike for the price..... looking on here just seems like Reid are absolutely killing it in terms of the product that they are offering hence why all the stores seem so busy... every one just needs to calm down and realize that at the end of the day they are just trying to satisfy the demand which seems to be outta control. Maybe cut them some slack. Im definitely a happy customer and i know that i have all my friends lining up to purchase reids.
After pre-ordering a month before Christmas, paying in full and being told that it would be available for pickup in 2 weeks, Reid Cycles did not deliver on any of their promises after taking my cash.
After not answering my calls for 2 weeks, the bike was not available until after Christmas, missing several prepaid extras which were "out of stock" and had loose bolts causing the handlebars to move up and down when any weight was put on them. Also, the kick stand was loose so the bike just falls over when it's used.
Appalling service and an even worse product. Avoid at all costs, operators like this should not be allowed to make profit.

My hubby brought my bike (I chose of course) and I loved it that much he then looked for one for himself. Excellent service and as we brought online the delivery was very prompt. I had an issue with one small part and hubby called and they walked him through fixing it. Cannot fault any part if our experience with Reid Cycles. Do yourself a favour and use these guys if your after a new bike!!
Great product, great price & great service
Shockingly bad service. Managed to 'lose' my online order twice. Told by salespeople on multiple occasions that my bike would be received within a week only to have three weeks pass with absolutely nothing materialise. No reply to emails sent to the sales team, and bounced between Perth and Melbourne stores when trying to contact by phone. Not even able to provide a prompt refund.

I ordered two bikes not long ago from Reid and had them delivered to my home.
The first problem came when the reid organised delivery truck continued turning up in work hours without leaving an indication of when they would be returning. I eventually had to leave work for several hours to be at home to accept the package.

I can't take the bikes to a professional ( besides the fact it will cost more money ), my car is not big enough to take the bikes, hence why I had them delivered in the first place. Got a bike delivered and whilst I was impressed about the price and that cute basket, I didn't know I had to put it together(Silly me didn't read that part).....

I called the store and they offered to make it up for me - free!
I just picked it up yesterday after an anxious wait and my bike is by far the prettiest of all my friends. I paid half what you would expect and how kind were the shops people for sticking it together for me. I can't wait to ride it next weekend I'm going to use it instead of my car now. I bought this bike (x229 29er) from REId cycles about 2 months ago and with only 80kms on my bike computer, I noticed my rear wheel spokes were bent and soon they snapped from the thread of my wheel! In addition, upon delivery my box was opened and my speed gears weren't even aligned properly, luckily I could fix it. I am very happy with my experience with Reid Cycles. I ordered my bike online on a Thursday night and it arrived by Tuesday morning. Plus, not only is the bike really good value (even more so on sale), they throw in some freebies as well! Would recommend this company

Ordered my bike about two weeks ago, called them five times, each time they said that I will get a call from them within two days. I wanted to have faith, but it seems like I am dealing with a enterprise which has no sense of customer service. NO BUSINESS can run without effective customer service. Hopefully there are some other business in the market who will spend more on SEO and get their ratings up on google, so no one has to reply on REID CYCLES. Do Not Buy From Here, Unless you want to don't mind waiting for more than a month for a sub standard product.
