Phenomenal service
The front wheel of my reid bike was stolen this evening after I stupidly left it unlocked for the first time. Thankfully the Reid Sydney store opens till 7 and I was able to get to it to get a replacement as I need the bike for work. The service was incredible. Mandy was sympathetic and so helpful. She ensured I got my wheel replaced, gave me a terrific discount and threw in an extra bike chain for free without me asking to ensure this never happened to me again. I was so impressed not just by how well they looked after my bike but also me as a customer. I walked in feeling really down but left believing in humanity again. Had to share my experience.

Love my bike!
I bought a Ladies Vintage 7-speed from the Glebe store last week and have ridden it almost every day since. The lovely people at the shop (Mandy, in particular) were very helpful and patient with all of my amateur questions. I changed my mind on the colour numerous times and when I finally came to a decision Mandy went to great lengths to ensure I could take one home that evening (even though it was a Friday and almost closing time). The man at the register even offered to help put it in the car. There are so many nice colours in the ladies bikes...it is almost impossible to choose. So far I have not had any problems with the bike itself. Highly recommended!

Reid Cycles Glebe Store Review
I cannot recommend Reid Cycles at Glebe more highly. Their service is friendly, efficient and they are simply lovely to deal with. [name removed] assisted me with my enquiries and she couldn't be more helpful. I purchased a ladies vintage classic. So if you are thinking of purchasing a bike from them, go for it.

Love it
Ah-Mazing! At the Glebe store, best service I've ever had and satisfied with the Harrier bike.
The cute English accent Asian girl was fantastic. I definitely recommend this shop, and everyone who has seen the bike instantly knows the model (weirdly). I feel like going back and buying more stuff, even though I don't need anything. The only downside is that now I just seem to roll everywhere and hardly pedal, seems like cheating.
No fuss, good bike,
Too many other customers.

Couldn't be happier… Sydney store
Must share how happy I am with help received over the phone at the Sydney store (from 3 separate staff members I might add - all were great on each occasion I called).
I live a few hours away so relied on a few questions to be answered to finalise my decision. Even during a highly busy time (due to current sale) the staff were so friendly, took the time to help and were extremely thorough with their answers.
I have now placed my order this morning and am looking forward to receiving it.
Also must note website is great. Great pictures and info and an easy system to order with. I would have ordered directly through website but staff were happy to help over the phone.
Such a pleasant experience.

Fantastic Value
I have purchased a Falco Elite and then a further 2 ladies vintage bikes for my wife and daughter. The service at the Brisbane store is fantastic.
All 3 bikes have been great and good value for money. I would recommend Reid to anyone that is looking for a great bike without spending a fortune.
Value for money

Great service and responsive to request(s).
Was served promptly when walked into the shop although it was a busy afternoon. Was assisted by a very helpful (lady) sales staff member which more than answered all my questions. Although there was no stock of the model and size of the bicycle available, was given a time frame when new stock would arrive.
Contacted and informed when stock arrived the following week. And was readied for collection in a short time.

Great Value!!!
Recently purchased a mountain bike and ladies vintage bike for myself and my wife from the Balcatta store. We are very impressed with the quality of the bikes considering the price. Then purchased a baby seat to go on the back so we could take our 2 year old on family rides. After a month of riding everything is great. The salesmen were knowledgable and helpful without being pushy. Overall we are extremely happy with the whole experience.
Price, quality

Went in after work and had experienced rude service from other stores and thought oh here we go I'm gonna get another bad service as that's my expectation of bike shops.
So held my breath and went in as all I wanted was quotes.
Went over to the bike I seen online and didn't mind the look and the more I looked the more I liked. Two guys behind the counter were busy with other customers so I let it go and snooped the shop then I think one was busy on the computer so I slowly approached and he came over and just started talking to me about wha...Read more

n I got it back the gears were slipping and they adjusted everything on the bike. I love the bike but I'm getting it serviced else where from now on as they had a bit of attitude when I got my girlfriend to take it in all she heard was swearing and carrying on from the mechanics over me upgrading my service......seriously find another job if your not happy there.David F.Reid Cycles
Hi Daniel. I have passed your comment to the Manager at the store to review. The service level is usually better than this so please take your bike in next time it needs a tune.
No thanks It needed a tune and I paid for the highest tune. You would expect the best and not having to go home mid ride to adjust everything yourself. Good bike tho extremely happy with it. Would like you guys to release a full carbon bike tho

Courier they use is uselss
I ordered my bike part 1 month ago, still waiting on it today.
They put it down to the courier not being able to deliver it and sent it back to the warehouse, when i had clear instructions given to deliver it to the manager.
I was also not told about any of this to help fix the problem, until i waited 1 week and then contacted the store to find out where it was.
If you buy something from here better off going into the shop getting it yourself. The courier clearly cant read instructions or make a call to the manager to let them know they are at the door. Utterly useless.
In australia
courier useless, customer service poor in fixing mistake

Buy from Reid
Great bike shop, staff where very helpful, the guy that severed me seemed to have a passion for bikes and wasn't there just to sell and get rid of me, i wasn't looking to spend to much money but i still wanted a good road bike which is reliable, as i've decided to ride to work and back mon to fri which is about 10 kms from home, anyway i ended up purchasing an osprey and i absolutely love it, i also ended up buying a few accessories including a speedometer which they installed for me, i thought the accessories where already cheap compared to other places but they ended up giving me a very good deal on them which i was extremely happy about.
Inexpensive, reliable, great staff

Very poor service, good value otherwise
I was stuffed around for over 3 months by staff whose only understanding of supply logistics was "ummm, maybe a week or two".
I had to pay extra for a different model as I gave up on waiting and didn't receive all of the included extras despite returning to the store multiple times.
The bike appeared to be set up by a monkey (derailleurs would throw the chain, shifters weren't straight, brakes hit the tyres and some).
Despite all of this, I would still buy from them as they are CHEAP.
If you want to pay extra and get good service, g...Read more

If you want a 105 equipped bike for under $1k, own tools (namely hex keys, screwdrivers and a spoke wrench) and are willing to spend an afternoon with a pile of shimano tech docs, Reid offers good value for money. Bad, bad service. Approach with caution.
Went to reidcycles today to buy a helmet and a rear view mirror. I read reviews online and there weren't much negative ones, so I went there expecting at most a normal service.
Boy I was wrong. Stood around for more than 10 minutes looking at the various helmets on display only to have exactly zero staff approach me asking if I needed help, even when I caught the eye of the girl at the cashier and waved. She saw me, then proceeded to pretend she didn't. Swell. But their helmets are cheap and very, very reluctantly I went to the cashier. Now ...Read more
it's a dude. Boy, what a self-righteous, smug person. He is probably the rudest salesperson I've ever had the unfortunate experience to encounter in a very long while. Took a lot of will power not to throw the helmet at his face. 1/5 is too generous for such bad service. Where do they even find these people?! Cheap helmets Incredibly rude staff membersSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent service
Just visited on Easter Monday. The shop was busy but the service was good. Having read comments below I was pleasantly surprised. They could have had more staff on given there was a sale, but otherwise excellent, we took the bike away with us, no need for assembly at home

Vintage Cruiser - Reid Cycles
I bought a new bike from Reid Cycles in Glebe, Sydney. I ride everyday so need something solid. The guys there were super cool, let me try the bikes and helped me pick the best bike for me, which I Love! The cruiser is so much fun to ride, light, and easy! It looks cool too! I would definitely recommend this bike and this store! Very good prices too. The best I found in Sydney.
Good service, good product, good price

Don't buy a Reid's Bike.
Received a Reid's Vintage Ladies six-speed bike for my birthday. The first time I tried to ride it, they had assembled it wrong and the brakes were pinching on the tyres. The second time I rode it, the metal cover that protected the chain literally fell off. Tried to ride it again today and the tyres are flat? No idea why, I've only ridden it twice on the footpath and it's kept in my garage...

Awesome bikes
I've recently moved to Perth for work, and I thought it would be a good idea to buy a bike to explore my new city, my brother bought a couple of bikes from the Brisbane store last year, one for himself and a lady's bike for his girlfriend and they both love them. He told me there's is a store in Perth, so I went to have a look, all the bikes looked awesome and some where really quirky, though I didn't have a clue what to get as I don't no much about bikes.. the staff where extremely helpful and I ended up buying a city 2 which is awesome! its a great road bike and its really good at handling light off road tracks, so it suits me really well and it will be an excellent tool to use to get in better shape.
Inexpensive, great for fittness

Bought four bikes
I bought two bikes at xmas from Melbourne store after organising over the phone from Adelaide. On arrival in Melbourne attended the store and the order wasn't complete and the falco advanced I had wanted was sold to another buyer. However the staff then upgraded to the falco elite for no extra charge. My son got his x129 off road mountain bike which was excellent. The extra gift packs weren't ready but eventually this was sorted but had to come back a few days later. I then bought 2 sport mountain bikes for my bnb as guest to hire, which were d...Read more
elivered to Adelaide. However the delivery was flawed as you had to be there for delivery even though I left instructions of where bikes could be safely left and this was initially accepted as fine to do. Overall, a few issues but the product itself was fine. My guests have all reported the bikes are really good to ride! I will be back to replace my hire bikes at the 12 month mark. Hurry Reid cycles and come to Adelaide!!! Bikes are value for money, staff helpful To much disjointed comms, needs more attention here to reduce issues3 comments
The bikes are still working well and many guests comment they are really nice to ride. My falco elite is great and flys along. Overall, value for money and i believe quality exceeds the price paid; as per my experience.

Great experience!
Recently I was looking for a new bike and my dad had recommended Reid at Coorparoo in Brisbane to me. I walked in and was straight away greeted and asked if I needed any assistance. The guy really knew his stuff about what I would need and what would be the best value for money. Even though I had just gone in there to look, I ended up walking out with an X229 mountain bike with the Urban MTB upgrade (I think that's what it's called). I've been riding it for about a fortnight now and would have to say it is one of the best bikes I have owned...Read more

Suffi A.asked
Do you offer full assembly of a bike if I were to purchase one in person from a physical store? I am pretty sure I can follow your pdf guide but the gear and brake installation part just unnerves me and I'd rather have someone pro do it for me. If yes does this post-purchase service come with extra fee?
