Not suitable for sensitive person
I bought it 7 days from BingLee and used it for 4 times. It disappointed me! A very powerful heater, warm up the room very quick. However, it produces an ODOUR smell in an hour. It causes me headache and out of breath, open almost all the windows at home, still have the smell. I called Rinnai, they asked about new paint, air refresher and dust. It is not all they mentioned. stars of the gas heater is not true! Product review should stay clear a section for sensitive users! Never buy unflued gas heater, even though it is a good brand. I WASTE $1500 for a gas heater that causes me HEADACHE and can't breath properly!Purchased in May 2021 at Bing Lee Physical store for A$1,499.00.

Excellent heater
Heats my large open plan living room quickly and maintains heat well. Suffered with electric heating before purchasing this unit and I'm so glad I made the change. Very easy to use and love the programmable start time. Great work Rinnai.

Hi Dancer, thanks for the question. Error code 70 is a fault with the on and off switch and will require a service call to fix. You can book online on the Rinnai website, 24 hours a day.

Why is there a red light flashing when I turn on my Rinnai Avenger 25plus

Hi Dancer, if the heater is not turning on and you have the red flashing light, it generally indicates there has been an error in the starting process. In the display there would be a 2 digit fault code which will indicate the issue.
You can check this code in the user manual received with the unit, the online version can be found on the Rinnai website. A service call may be required depending on the error.

Yes two digit code is 70, i only use 2 months.of the year, no problem.then. However my Everdure is working. Where is best place to go to fix the Avenger 25plus I live north of river, how much will cost approx.

We purchased the Rinnai Avenger 25 a couple months ago. We have had a few occasions where we smelt some gas, but in the last 2 days it has become much worse.
I've checked the gas connection, and it's locked in, so not sure what ould be causing this.
How can we test the heater is working properly and is safe to use.
