Instant and Powerful Heat

published

Purchased this heater recently at the tail end of winter as the old one wasn't quite making it. Noticed the difference immediately. I can feel the warmth instantly in our open plan living area. Very intuitive to operate straight out of the box and works first time every time. A bit of noise from the frame vibrating which can be silenced by re-positioning the unit on the floor boards.

Purchased in August 2021 for A$850.00.

Upgrade from an old R82M, and doesn't disappoint

published

I have an old Rinnai R82M (have no idea how old it is), and we decided to purchase the Granada 252N because it got good reviews, and we already knew our old heater stood the test of time.
I can let everyone know here that the purchase did not disappoint, and this heater works and performs very well.
- Easy to start
- Simple controls, nothing to go wrong.
- Good safety features.
- It looks great, and is more compact despite being double the output of our old R82M
- Very effective heating, and the fan really helps get the room warm.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone who is after a good gas heater.

Purchased in May 2021.

Thanks Rinnai, are you able to tell me how old the R82M might be? I mean, this is also testament on it's own that it's still going strong also.

Thanks for the question Roher_K. The R82M was manufactured back in 1980.

Thanks,

Granada 252N

I always thought these heaters needed to be operated with the fan on. I thought I was told that when I first bought it years ago. I see here people are running the heater without. Is this ok?

Thanks for the question Julie R. With this particular model of heater it is possible to run the heater without having the fan running. In this case you will only be getting the radiant heat from the unit, running the fan allows you to spread the heat throughout the room.

Granada 252N

can the 252 series heaters still work during power failures / blackouts?

Yes, the heater will still work, the only part that won't work during a blackout is the fan. We rarely use the fan as the heat is normally strong enough for us to heat 2 rooms very well.

Granada 252N

Hi, I bought a Granada 252 two years ago. Its worked beautifully. This year, whenever, I've turned it on, it emits a burnt oil smell ( like rubber tyre bruning) each time I switch it on. we normally have 1 panel on with the inbuilt fan on.
What's wrong with it? please advice.

I can't answer your question, but I would take your heater to a qualified gas plumber to get it serviced and repaired. This way you can be sure that it will last you much longer with the piece of mind that it will be safe to use.

Thanks for the question Winifred. In some cases if there is a strong smell near the heater, ie paint, cleaning products, air fresheners, these smell can go through the heater and be emitted as a strong kerosene smell. We would recommend calling our technical help desk on 1300 555 545 to talk to our technical team on how to resolve.
