might seem stupid but I cannot get my auto defrost to operate it comes up the time and kg but nothing happens when I press start

I followed the directions in the instruction manual (page 20) and it worked fine. On pressing "power defrost" the number I is auto selected which is for meat, two presses of "power defrost" you're on 2 for poultry, 3 presses for fish and 4 for bread/cake. I was defrosting 500 grams of mince so I pressed 5 for .5kg and when I pressed START it showed 9 minutes 9 seconds on the read out as it started up.
I did that after I sent the request and it worked ok

Hi Sumiyya, the ME6124W is not a convection microwave and so you would be unable to set its temperature. The microwave however, allows you to set up to two different stages of cooking, each with its own time length and power level. The Power Level button lets you control the heating intensity from Warm to High.

Today we got home from work and went to use the microwave and noticed the outside was hot and inside plate was even hotter to touch. This is after not being used all day with no one home. Has anyone else had this issue??

I want to set the clock at 12 hour cycle and when I follow instructions, it does not seem to allow me to change it. When I press “clock” and number 0 button for 3 secs and choose option 1, it does not show up “12 Hr” and when I press “start” it does not respond....I have to hit “cancel” button to get back to the time. I have tried this several times so please advise me if this model corresponds to the booklet I received in the Samsung package?

How do I set medium power?

The Samsung microwave has 10 power levels,1 being lowest then 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 & 0 being high. When work out the temp I want to use, as a guide I figure that 1 is 10% of high, 2 is 20%, 5 is 50%, 7 is 70% etc and 0 being 100%. To change to another power level, enter the minutes/seconds you want it to run for ( i.e 1:30 is 1 minute 30 secs) then press the power level button (located in the lower left corner of the keypad) then the number, for medium I'd press 5 or 6. I tend to use 5 for scrambled eggs and to evenly cook a packet cake mix. Hope this helps.
