Brought this product just over 2 years ago. I’ve finally cracked it tonight as more parts have broken off it.

The sales person Gave it a good wrap, saying it’s much better than the Dyson. The product started off alright, but after 3 months went in for its first warranty fix, ( kept on turning on and off even with all filters cleaned, and the flex handle stopped locking in.) Product was repaired within 2 weeks. About 6 months later it went back in again for the same issue, got it back after about 2 weeks again.

We bought one from The Good Guys and it's been a complete waste of money. I wished I had bought a Dyson and in future will do so as this is a waste of space. It never worked properly, is badly built and flimsy and the after sales service is non existent. Despite repeated problems it now has been sent to Samsung for investigation, which is apparently going to take weeks. Worked well for the first few months then started really deteriorating it’s a very difficult machine to clean a lot of dust gets caught in the sponge filter and it’s hard to clean any hair out of the powder head brush. I have a small terrace house and would need to empty it 3x a clean and I clean weekly so I found that really irritating. I like this machine . I have a small apartment with floorboards and rugs and find the different attachments work well. You do need to empty regularly and wash the sponge filter frequently - I initially had seem suction and shutting off issues until I realised that. I have a dog and so the bin does get "full" of dog hair before it looks full. I did want to buy a spare sponge filter so that I could have one to use while the first was drying. I've had the vacuum nearly six months, I don't vacuum too often, but find the Samsung ProStick good, it cleans the rugs getting all the fluff off around the edges.
The dustbin is small and when full you have to drag out some of the fluff as it gets stuck in the chamber, if the dustbin is full the vacuum cuts out.
The vacuum comes with a couple of heads and various attachments, just right for cleaning the car, removing dust from blinds before cleaning, vacuuming the mattress. A head for carpets and a soft head for wooden floors.

Purchased the Powerstick Pro on 5th July 2018 from a Major SA retailer. Whilst the device offers amazing suction one must clean the filters on a regular basis (every couple of months), which is a simple "wash under a tap & dry" basis. Nothing new here, our Dyson was the same. Beware when using the powerhead attachment over tufted carpet or woven rug, as this puts extra strain on the upper wand/vacuum body junction point, so much so that the top of the wand broke. Construction is pretty sub par for samsung. It's not very strong. Joint get wobbly after normal use before 6 months.

We started off with a bent connector on the extension connection. Fixed that after 20 mins with the manager at JB.

Went great for the first 6 months after twice week use in a 2 bedroom apartment. Now has started to run flat real quick.

Maintenance is pretty easy. Don't overfill the bin. Clean all the filters out every 4-5 uses. Attachments work well, when they aren't flapping about because of the structural faults. Second bat...Read more

This vacuum seems to be flawed. It consistently turns itself off after 5-10 seconds use. Almost all of the dust gets caught at the top of the collector, which blocks it, allowing hardly any to drop to the bottom. There's a 'Max' line much higher up, but the dust that does get through doesn't even get a 1/5 of the way up to the line before the vacuum starts turning itself off. I have had this Powerstick vacuum for two months after having my previous Powerstick vacuum replaced. The first one was replaced as it kept cutting out after 10 seconds when I turned it on, even though it was fully charged and the dust bin had been emptied from previous vacuum.
