Poor technology for 21st century
Every 6 months technicians are needed, worse than a car! And soon warranty will be gone. The crisper draws fill with ice and water, tech comes to replace parts, 6 months later the freezer looks like an igloo and fully freezes over. What happens when my warranty goes and then I’m getting new coolant and dans every 6 months at my own cost. Products should not need to be constantly repaired every 6 months especially with the amount paid for them. So unhappy with our product, definitely will never buy a Samsung fridge again. Repairs shouldn’t need to be constantly made, should be a recall on all as faulty, which is clear going by this thread! Refunds and repair the issue for future models!

Worst design ever for humid conditions
Looks great, works great for 3 weeks then fan freezers up again. If you live north of Brisbane do not buy a Samsung fridge. Worse design ever for humidity control. We have had technician out nearly every 4 weeks to replace the fan!! He has told us out 10 fridges he repairs in this area 6 are Samsung all with the same problem across all models. - Very spacious
- Water dispenser works well with ice cold fresh water
- Only downside is that the ice maker is very complicated to setup and use

Horrible fridge. Nightmare
Horrible fridge, has not worked properly and leaks water into the drawers. Serviced by Samsung but no resolve. Told I did not spend enough money on a fridge. Samsung service state it’s a known problem. It’s been a struggle for the last 5 years. I am so frustrated with the situation and there is no resolve but to change to another brand and warn all those that are looking at this.

Terrible fridge
I hate this fridge. We have had it for about 4 years however our problems started maybe 2 years ago. Drawers fill up with water & ice. Now all the clips on the centre bar have broken & it just flaps around making it really hard to close the fridge & make it seal. I am now looking around for spare parts. Terrible quality for the amount of money they cost. If I could afford it I would definitely buy a new fridge & it wouldn’t be a Samsung!

Water fills in Fruit and Vege Drawers, it's a nightmare
OMG I wish I had read this review before. Have had the same problem plus some other issues. Overall 4 or 5 visits from technicians but they never offered me a refund. Now I've got the same issue of water in the drawers again and Samsung won't cover it anymore. I wish I had read this tread and asked for a refund. Not happy one bit and I'm gonna make sure everyone around me knows about it. They should've refunded me first time instead of wasting my time all this time, I'm pretty sure now they knew this is not gonna go away all along and just dragged it until it is out of warranty. Bad practice Samsung...

Water fills in Fruit and Vege Drawers
Thank goodness we got extended warranty.
From 12 months water continuously fills in fruit and veg drawers we have had to put cake trays to keep them out of water. After the 3rd technician visit he decided to advise the product was faulty. Always caused lettuce to freeze inside fridge, frost all over outside of frozen food in freezer drawers. Loud vibration now when turned on.
Samsung agreed to refund. Courier collecting said he has collected about 20 of the same fridge.
Highly recommend not to purchase. we probably wouldn't purchase Samsung fridge again just in case.
Just loaded fridge on to return so sure hope refund comes through.

On going problem
Tech was out 3 times for issues. Water in vege draws now since they came out to fix freezer for slab of ice covering bottom and frost all over food which has happened a few times. Purchased from radio rentals and out of contract but issue has not been resolved from first call out. Very unhappy.

Water inside the drawers
I have the problem having water inside the drawers and damaging all veggies. The tech came few times and changed parts. The problems was continuing and Samsung swap to a new fridge. In about few days I had the same problem as the old one... water inside the drawers. I am not happy. Very frustrated as the fridge is good in general.

Beautiful Fridge defective ice maker!!!
I purchased this fridge about 2 years ago. I loved everything about it for the first year. After a year the ice maker started producing small cubes and they were slushy. Then the ice maker froze up completely. After defrosting and resetting the ice maker it would start producing again. This cycle has continued for the last 6 months. I've contacted Samsung and have been told there is nothing they can do about it. That I need to contact a local Samsung repair shop and pay to have the problem fixed. This is a know issue to Samsung and I'm disgusted that they continue to sell a product that they know is defective.

Big mistake
Bought this fridge 2 years ago along with all Samsung appliances. Loved the design of the fridge and no issue with the water or ice. However it started making a really loud noise. Like a helicopter in the kitchen. After dealing with the extended warranty company(another nightmare) it was discovered the fridge was freezing up. Tech came and defrosted it. Now it needs to be defrosted every other week. Inconvenient and unreliable. Tech said warm air is getting in through the cabinet and it can not be fixed. After paying 2000 dollars for this one we are off to buy a new fridge. Very disappointed. Just waiting to see how long the other appliances last.

So deceiving it has so much space - "wonderful"
living in a townhouse complex I didn't think I was able to have a French Door refrigerator due to the sizes of some of the models.
I contacted Harvey Norman to be told the Samsung SRF583DLS was prefect size that would fit straight into the cubical space of my kitchen.
The handles were placed on after the refrigerator had been placed in the cavity space "PREFECT"
So much space inside of the refrigerator and ample deep shelving.
Doors open eazerly and closes with a great seal. I really love the look of the Samsung French door system.

Never again
Fan stops after ice builds up and the fridge then has to be manually defrosted every few months. Up until the fan stops, it gets very noisy, so we end up having to defrost every month, or live with the annoying buzz. Also had to throw out a 16 month old Samsung Steam fryer.
Never buying a Samsung product again.

This fridge is bad!
It maintains a good temperature, and it is quite good to keep foods fresh. However, it has been really loud after first year. Because it builds up ice quickly blocking the cooling fans. I will need to empty the fridge every year to clean up the ice to make it run. Bad quality. Only go for it if you don’t mind maintain the fridge regularly.

Love it!
In June my old Samsung fridge broke down after 7 years of great service. We bought a new Samsung and I absolutely love it. There are so many doors and different sections, you can keep all your things clean and sorted.
Freezer is amazing too and the door is convenient. Absolutely fab.

I really liked it,, purchased around two years back,, seal was teared once but it was under warranty, so it got replaced completely free,, no other issues accept sometimes feels like bit less space inside.. ok for a family of 2-3 people..freezer has enough space and like how it open from side

Fruit and veg crispers filling with water
I have had the fridge for 6 weeks and am about to have 4th service call. The crispers get water in them and underneath. Service techs say it’s not draining and electronics have been replaced but to no avail there is still water, otherwise the fridge is great! Not happy

Fruit & veg crisper constantly fills with water!
I have had this fridge for nearly 3 years. It has already had 5 calls out with a technician to have the vegetable crisper drained of water flooding inside the crisper. Like many other reviews I have read here,some people are also having the same issue with the crisper flooding with water!
Each time the technician says OK the problem is fixed now, you should have no issues, then 3-6 months later the same issue. I Just called Samsung today and again to tell them I have the same issue!!!

I called the samsung rep on Saturday to have a refund request fund emailed to me, nothing came. On Monday I called again, asked the same question, was assured they would email the refund claim form to TWO email addresses, this morning still no refund form!!! so of course I had to waste my time again and called to ask and this time I made sure the girl stayed on the line so I could confirm that the refund form arrived.. Luckily it did arrive and this girl was helpful, not like the other two men. Now we have to wait for Samsung to process the claim and then hopefully asap get a courier to pick up the fridge, so I can USE my crisper in my new MITSUBISHI fridge! NO MORE Samsung fridges. Samsung answer this question.... you know this is a common fault in this model fridge, so why don't you just DISCONTiNUE that model, so consumers do not have to go through this!! its frustrating and a waste of everyones time and money. Love it!
The fridge works perfectly, it has never skipped a beat. I love the there is a cold water dispenser that doesn’t need to be plumbed, you just fill up the container. The configuration is easy to change and has good options. In summer we do have to pull it out from the wall a little as it can struggle in the heat of summer. All of the shelves are removable so it’s easy to clean.

Big capacity and amazing cold water with just press in ...very familiar and also a stylish and modern design that make our kitchen looks amazing, best decision ever. Considering Just about every single review on here Is negative I’m now reconsidering purchasing this fridge!! There seems to be two main issues. First issue is that almost everyone reports water leaking into the bottom of the fridge and that the seals go moldy and second issue seems to be the poor customer service following the fault being reported! So, before I even consider buying this fridge what changes has Samsung done With newer models to fix this very common issue??? If your answer is nothing and/or trying to direct me to Facebook private messages so no one else can response then I believe I will have to continue hunting for a better fridge! I don’t have enough money just to be throwing it away like so many people on here unfortunately have. Again, if it’s a very common problem shouldn’t changes be made?!?!?
