Really disappointed
After I purchased a new car, I had the option of purchasing a membership with Schmick, to alleviate the stress of calling up multiple places and getting quotes for repairs. The first time I used the service it was great. I was contacted about the repairs, organised it and went through no problems. Can’t say that about the next time. I put in a repair request on the app and got no response for 3 weeks, so I decided to contact them by phone. Read moreed him, continued to wait for a repairer. Now almost another month later and still no response. After all the money they ask you upfront for membership, that’s a bit of a joke that nobody contacts you after almost two months. Had to write this review to express my absolute disappointment with the service .

Schmick - exclusions - bonnet, roof, boot...
I paid for Schmick paint protection for my BMW X3. I have a small - less than a 5c piece bat poop on my bonnet that I cleaned off as soon as I saw it. It has eaten thorugh the paint protection (so it doesn't work) and requires a bonnet respray. Schmick won't cover it.
I also had a small dint in my boot that Schmick would not cover as it looked like it had a tiny fold. I paid for a small local business to come out and do it and it worked a charm.
I WOULD NOT purchase Schmick for any future cars.

Very Bad Experience with Schmick
02.09.21 - Sent Email Request via App for Alloy Wheel Repairs and
03.09.21 - Acknowledgement of email and will be contacted within 4 - 7 business days
No response until I called on 14.09.21 and the customer consultant stated that they have been trying to contact me numerous times but the only time I received a missed call was from a mobile number which I have called back but no answer.
14.09.21 - Email confirming repairs is received noting repairs will be at 8 am 22.09.21
22.09.21 - Technician text 7.50 that he will be late for 1.5 hours due...
Your experience depends on the mechanic they send
1st time a hardworking one but poor skills
2nd time I was very satisfied
3rd time the guy said I don't have enough workspace to paint without affecting the neighbours, as if I haven't had my car fixed here before. And he cancelled my first appointment for running out of paint.
5 stars for the 2nd guy, 3 for the 1st, -1 for the 3rd, overall 2 stars

Big scam guys be careful
Bought a new car and got talked into purchasing this as an extra. The car yard did not tell us it was going to be $50 per item. We were told that it was to be $50 for 4 x repairs to the vehicle. Turns out after booking a repair in, the contractor who came to fix asked for $50 for the dent repair then, $50 for the paint repair, then $50 for another and so on. Basically it seems from other reviews car yards are selling the product incorrectly and we are falling for it. Also, have to say the contractor did not return calls, took at least 3 we...
Read moreeks to get him to actually call me back. I left messages with him and there was no response. All in all a bad experience from the sale of the product right through to the delivery on site. It's also fantastic for Schmick as I can see in previous reviews to wipe their hands and say we are not responsible for what the car yard sells you. Maybe if the business was legitimate, perhaps Schmick would evaluate what their partners are selling Don't get this product

Poor paint match and dull finish
Title says it all. May have just been the technician on the central coast. I am very disapointed with the result on 6 month old car . Repair is very noticeable. For such a small scratch a very large area now looks dull with orange peal and poor colour match. Even more disapointed how much money I wasted buying into the fund as I wilk never use them again so basically wasted $1200.00.
I have another scratch and will now be ringing my local guy and paying full price. There are probably some very good technicians elsewhere but the guy on the central coast has little competence.

My wife seems to have the same problem with these scammers. they do not fulfil what they outline in the contract. Maybe they need to research what a horizontal plane means.
I put in a request on 10th December 2021 No response. called on 15th and told some would call me in 5-7 days .... no response Called 9th February response was "sorry I will get someone to call you tomorrow". If you read the fine print they can cut you off at their discretion . Is this good customer service?
