All these reviews are useless not ONE of them tell you what this company is like when you actually MAKE a claim of course their going to be nice on the phone their TAKING your money they wouldn't be anything else so come on Seniors where's the claims ?

If you look at the review profile, they rated quite low until the last 12 months. I suspect they had a big drive to get people to review them as soon as they signed up. Agreed that this is pretty much meaningless - claims experience and repair quality is the only really relevant stat.

Spot on Mark the only way you'll find out what a real insurance company is like is when you actually claim as I found out to my dismay with APIA but I cancelled with them and they lost a good customer their fault entirely, not the way to do business.

I would like to know this information too. OK to get a cheaper policy, but if it doesn't work when you need to use it - then it doesn't save you any stress or money at all.

I recently investigated renewing the insurance of our 2 cars from another company, we already have our house and contents with Australian Seniors and was delighted with the service and the speed it was all handled plus it was quite a lot cheaper than where we were, better still it was all done speaking to a real person

Looking at the website/quoting system/quotes it's clear that Seniors has the same back-end as Woolworths (although the Seniors prices are a lot better).

What concerns me is the claims process as there is only one review of claims with Seniors. Is the claims process via the same underwriters that Woolworths provide or are there Seniors reps to do this? Woolworths process isn't good. I have them for my home insurance and it wasn't a good experience.

I also noted this but Seniors was cheaper than Woolies for the same thing. At the end of the day its the underwriting insurance company you need to look at for their expertise. in handling claims. Its also the same company underwriting the Woolies quote

So in essence you can look at the claims experience of people with Woolies car insurance as they both have the same claims department.

After reading the many happy customer service reviews here, I can only find one claims review. Looking at other Insurers, with some companies, there are some appalling claims reviews and many of them.
I'm wondering if those that insure with you either don't have accidents or it they do, whether your claims process is perfect in the sense, that those that insure with you are completely satisfied if they, unfortunately have to claim.
Great prices and service before a sale is one thing, great service and care after sale is always another, and I'm looking for both and it seems that only one side of the picture is presented on this website with regards to Australian Seniors Insurance Agency. I have a Seniors quote but won't be buying until I'm satisfied with both sides of our purchase decision.

I noticed this also. The reviews simply indicate that the company has a pretty decent, if not a little too pushy, sales department. If it didn't, no one would buy its policies. There's no indication here that claims would be handled as happily!

I ended up renewing with AAMI even though they have a lot to be embarrassed about given some of the AAMI claim reviews on this and other sites. The Seniors quote was a lot less, something that's important for self funded retirees such as ourselves, but seeing as my question here wasn't answered, and after chatting again to their telesales centre about this issue whereupon they pointed out that they have reviews on their website but very few claims reviews that I could find so I wasn't satisfied. Generally speaking, buying products and services is one thing, getting great customer care after purchase is very often quite another thing.

A full comprehensive quote on 2 cars please.Monthly premiums cars are 2012 Honda civic hatch with 46000km the other is 2005 Honda civic GLI with 125000km you might suggest something else for the 2005 other than full Como.

I have previously made a Australian Seniors Travel Insurance claim for my Mother who was hospitalised for a week in foreign country. I was very impressed with how quickly and easily they rebooked our flights and paid the full Hospital bill with no quibbling. No claim yet with Car Insurance.
