So much for contacting Sharp Customer service. Just got the brush off - this was an expensive Fridge $3700? - exactly same one - black glass I think Diane referred to. I was told to find my warranty and receipt before they would talk to us or come and look at it. If would like to hear from Diane if she gets hers fixed/resolved what they said it was. Not exactly helpful customer service.

Hi our plasmacluster fridge has been making a strange loud noise lately on and off it would stop once the doors are opened. We powered it off yesterday to defrost thinking it may be ice build up on the fan . Once restarted the noise has gone but the freezer is not working?

Wondering why and what's wrong? Any ideas?

SJFJ676VBK (Glass Black)

Hi, love the fridge and everything seems to be at the right height and fits platters which is a bonus. The crisper lid has broken off on our SJFJ676VBK it is flimsy to say the least and now seeing it broken it doesnt take much to cause it?

Where can i buy this cover and is it possible for me to fit?

I suggest you contact Sharp Customer care. My crisper lid was covered under warranty as the part broke within a month of buying the fridge. Yes, you can fit it yourself. It is a bit fiddly but cheaper than a callout at $110.00 !!
I have described in detail how to fit the lid in one of my posts.
Another option is to use superglue as others have done.

I would like to know if the LED Temperature (in blue) on the Fridge/Freezer is supposed to come on when you open up the Fridge/Freezer doors?
My previous fridge used to stay on permanently.

Thanks,

Mine doesn't display the temperature for the fridge or freezer unless you select it via the menu. Once it's been saved, the numbers go away. There is a blue LED strip light along the edge of the door that comes on. It goes red if the door's not been closed properly.

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your question. The temperature indicator will not come on when the refrigerator door is opened. This can be seen when pressing the 'Select' key and temperature can be adjusted if needed.

Hello - I'm interested in this model but am unsure about the extent of "clearance" required - would you please advise whether 25mm is sufficient for the top & side? Otherwise, will need to look at the SJF624STSL - which has less options. Thank you! Megan.

Hi Megan

Thank you for your question. The space required advised in our current operation manual for both Fridge models is to leave a minimum of 90mm on top, 60mm on the sides and 60mm at the back. If the space you have available is lower than these mentioned above the refrigerator will work less efficiently, increasing the energy consumption due to the reduced flow of air surrounding the refrigerator.

All of the Instructions, menus guides / tables and procedures are provided within the operation manual.
If you want to have a look at more details on these models here are the links

I have just purchased the sjfs676v fridge and have attempted to use the ice tray cleaning option. The water does not drop into the ice-tray but instead puddles in the bottom of the fridge section. Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal? Any suggestions?

Hi Nana16,

Thank you for your question. The symptom you have described could indicate that either the reservoir is not seated correctly (the coupling is not tight) or potentially a fault with the cleaning system.

If you find that everything is connected tight and the issue still occurs, please contact our Customer Care line (1300 13 50 22) at your convenience within our hours of operation from 8.30am – 7.00pm AEST Mon – Fri so that a member of our team can locate your nearest service provider.

What is the benefits of this model of sharp french door compare the other brand does have french door also or advantages of sharp w/out other brand??

1 answer
Sharp
Sharp A.Sharp

Dear Judy Navarro,

The Sharp SJFS676V model has many other features including Plasmacluster Ion Technology, Automatic Ice Maker, External LED touch control panel with a door handle indicator, and also the stylish glass door finish in black or silver which protects your fridge from any dents and is easy to keep clean.
The SJFP676V has lesser features than the SJFS676V model. Differences include a stainless steel finish and does not include LED control panel and Automatic Ice Maker.

Sharp's Plasmacluster Ion Technology helps to keep food fresh for longer. Positive and negative ions are released from vents inside the refrigerator and freezer to help reduce bacteria and airborne mould spores.

The ions surround the cell membrane of bacteria and help to reduce cell reproduction.
Benefits:
- Reduce bacteria and odours
- Reduce airborne mould spores
- Keeps food fresher for longer

What is eco mode functions and what is the benefits of that compare other brand of french door?

1 answer
Sharp
Sharp A.Sharp

Dear Judy Navarro,

When the refrigerator is set on ECO mode, the inside temperature of the refrigerator and freezer compartment will be higher than the preset temperature as follows:
Refrigerator: about 1°C, Freezer: about 2°C. (if the preset temp is set) The display temperature will not be changed

The efficiency of power saving depends on the usage environment (controlling temperature, ambient temperature, frequency of opening or closing the door, amount of food stored).
Benefits:
- reduces electricity consumption by approximately 10%

We hope this has been of help to you. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us on Customer Care on 1300 135 022 at your convenience within our hours of operation from 8.30am – 7.00pm AEST Mon – Fri so that a member of our team can speak with you directly.

What is the purpose of hybrid cooling and how does it works?

1 answer
Sharp
Sharp A.Sharp

Dear Judy Navarro,

In response to your question, Sharp's unique Hybrid Cooling system incorporates two methods of cooling –

1. Cooled aluminium plate at the rear of the refrigerator compartment to approximately 0 degrees Celsius, which acts as a barrier and slows down the airflow whilst maintaining a cold surface. By slowing down the airflow it reduces the moisture removal from within the refrigerator compartment allowing food to remain fresh.

2. Chilled air is spread throughout the compartment to keep food fresh. The Hybrid cooling system helps prevent excessive dryness, uneven cooling and over cooling.
Benefits:
- slows down moisture removal
- reduces excessive dryness of food
- reduces problems with over cooling
- reduces temperature fluctuations
