Brilliant sales team and Servicing
Once again my wife has updated her subaru
With a new one this time an XV 2022 from a 2016 Forrestor we down sized
From terry to mr Elias we were taken care of
They gave us the ins and outs these guys couldnt do enough for us and made us feel important
They understood our budget and worked with it to get my wife a subaru she is over the moon with .
What car sales from other dealerships need to know is be personal and patient with prospective customers as buying a new car is major and we have to get it right .
Mcgraths Subaru give no pressure sales and a lot of dealerships can learn from these guys.
A big thank you to Mcgraths Subaru now we have the perfect match as Mcgraths subaru servicing is the best also

Capital Subaru Fyshwick - avoid
Customer service was non existent. I booked a “wait service” where you can wait an hour and then drive out in your car, only to be told when I arrive I can’t have one because I’ve asked for extra things to be looked at. Never mind that I included these things when I booked the service. Fair enough, I agree to leave the car. When I pick it up I find out that tyres were not rotated and some other things were not looked at because the car was not worked on until 4:30pm! I delivered it at 08:00 for a one hour wait service! It gets better. I knew t...Read more
here was an issue with the left front parking sensor malfunctioning. They tell me they can’t find a fault, despite it occurring literally seconds after I leave the dealership. Another dealer (Rolfe Subaru, who are excellent by the way) said they will run a diagnostic on the system, confirmed it was faulty and replaced it under warranty. Service was also abysmal. There is one person in particular named in other negative reviews (I won’t name him) who was bordering on insulting. Avoid.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The worst dealers - Trivett Parramata
I bought a car at Trivett Subaru Parramatta 3 weeks ago with a signed contract saying that if the car has any mechanical issue I can get my money refund. The first day that I was driving the car, it breakdown. I took the car to my mechanic, as the seller recommend (I had to pay around $90 dollars) and he had done a complete inspection on the car, finding some things that needed to be fixed. I have returned the car to Trivett Subaru Parramatta and they told me that would fix the problem. The car stayed more than 1 week there and as soon as we go...Read more
t it back, 5 minutes later, it's broken down again with the sames problems, they haven't fixed anything. So I had to return the car to them again. Now they are telling me that the car has no problems and saying to me pick up it without fixed. I have a contract with them saying that they should refund my money and the sales manager ([name removed]) is telling me that they won't give my money back. Talking about [name removed], he is one of the most untrustworthy person that I have meet. DO NOT TRUST HIM. Also, he is really rude and don't want to solve the problem. Me and my girlfriend are taking 4 work hours off per day on our jobs to go to Parramatta, we are spending in petrol as well to go there. We had done this 3 times already. All of this is a completely nightmare. I'm attaching 2 photos of the machine scanner that my mechanic done in the car and the contract that I have with them (read the special conditions at the bottom)Similar opinion? Servicing at this dealer is questionable
Had My Subaroo diesel outback serviced here. Had catalictic converter light coming on all time as the wrong oil was placed into diesel. Found out with next service by other mechanic. Also had quote on a cracked windscreen to replace of $2350.00. Had it replaced by a Belfield company for ‘$260.00. I feel I cannot trust this Subaroo dealer any more

Go Somewhere Else. Not North Shore Subaru.
I spent 43k on a car and left feeling ripped off. I felt like a sucker and will Never go back. I did all the work in this deal. They tried to sell me extras at four times the rate of others. Several hundred dollars for floor mats and I forget the price for window tint but it was ridiculous. Be very careful if you deal with these people. If you do not do your homework you will get ripped off, and they will do it with a smile.

DPF!! the bane of my existence.
I am having ongoing issues with my DPF light flashing and Subaru not acknowledging the issue. I have a Subaru approved mechanic (not Subaru themselves, but it is not a requirement) service my vehicle as per the engineering/servicing manual provided with my car. Everything I am doing is meeting the servicing requirements stated in the manual and warranty guidelines.
Some time after the service is carried out the DPF light flashes which requires it to be taken to Subaru and reset. They are always trying to tell me that they require the engine oi...Read more
l to be replaced before they will reset the light (because resetting the light is free but replacing the oil makes them money). They are stating that the reason the light isn’t going to steady before flashing is because the DPF counter (no one seems to know what that means) was not reset during the oil change. Apparently this is only something Subaru knows. It is not widely known and not stated in the servicing manual. It seems to be an ongoing, critical issue. But is kept a secret by Subaru. How is someone meant to meet the warranty requirements and get it serviced at any approved venue if this information is not divulged? Recently I took it to Subaru and they would not reset it unless they replaced my oil and wanted to charge me $250 for it. Something that should be covered under warranty. This has happened before in the past and the previous Subaru dealership tried to tell me it was the wrong oil, which it wasn’t. So they reset it. So which is it, the wrong oil or a computer reset? I think it is something everyone needs to know to adequately maintain their vehicle. The light is still flashing and I am currently trying to get the previous service provider to find out what he needs to actually do. I do not, and should not be required to take it to a Subaru dealership to get my scheduled servicing. It is not a warranty requirement to do so. The mechanic is simply required to be approved to a service a Subaru and meet the servicing interval requirements stated in the manual. It’s that simple. Any additional steps that are required and are not stated in the manual are the fault of Subaru. All required information for that servicing should be laid out in the manual. A simple servicing not made so simple. I’ve never had a Subaru before but I’m quickly regretting it. I will be trying to swiftly sell my Subaru once I get this issue sorted. It has been nothing but trouble and is only 2 years old.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Forester 2012 Diesel, many thousands of $$ spent on Diesel Particulate Filter
Forester 2012 Diesel, many thousands of $$ spent on Diesel Particulate Filter issues and continually denied by Subaru there was know issues with this model. Eventually traded in to another brand so I could actually have a working car. Lots of money out of pocket. Very expensive vehicles to fix and specialised tooling means the Subaru dealer has a monopoly on repairs. Stay away from Subaru.

Trivett Subaru Parramatta sale name [name removed]
Try your best to avoid him, I bought my first WRX and then few years later a liberty in Narellan Subaru, it was a great experience with good service and advice. Since then I move to hills district, and lately I want to help my daughter to get a new Subaru since she bought a Holden Cruze on 2015 and the car is nothing but problems. I went into Trivett Subaru Parramatta on 20/7/19 and soon a lady introduces me to a sale name [name removed]. We talk a bit and we sit down to negotiate the price. Al...Read more

Subaru Service Castle Hill
My Subaru Outback has oil temp warning light, we brought it to service center to check. Was told we need to replace Valve Body which was cost $4k . I told the Service Center I need to speak to my hubby as it is expensive to fix. After speaking to my hubby, I tried to call 02-8892 9000 and select status of vehicle update many times but no one picks up my call. I did not expect such bad customer service from Subaru.
I would like to hear if anyone who has problems with their Subaru Value Body and customer service experience.

The XV is wicked however Anton Glodya at Frankston Subaru is the reason for this review.
Ok so Mum is 70+ y/o and decides that she want's to trade her 2012 Outback for a new Subaru XV - S and she is in the Frankston Subaru precinct.....so off we go to Frankston Subaru.....
Within maybe 2 min of stepping onsite and brandishing the typical facial expressions generated when one lays eyes on what could be "The" new Car to top all new car models considered suitable for the driver at hand.....when a New Car Sales Consultant casually yet purposefully presents with an introduction and an inquiry such as to know that Yes we'd like to chat.....Read more

Great people at Glen Waverley dealership
My wife and I visited this dealership on a very busy day, but Jenna the sales person could not have been more pleasant and welcoming. Gave a very detailed run through on the Forester and made a date for a test drive on the spot. Took us initially to show us all the safety functions etc. then let us take the vehicle for a very good drive, and no pressure at all to purchase. Made the purchase and trade in experience very easy.
When I picked the car up today, the young lady who handled the handover was brilliant. Went through the whole vehicle and functions with myself and my wife and was very friendly to our 3 year old granddaughter. A great experience all through with these 2 lasses. A credit to the dealership.

My car is perfect.Love it.
I had Darren Azzopardi as a sales person. He was very pleasant, calm and professional. He offered the best advise to me and my husband since we never had modern car before. We bought from him Subaru XV and we are sooooo happy. The rest of the Subaru team also were so friendly and polite. I love when sales people are not pushing you to buy. Darren took us for ride even tho we were not sure if we going to buy this car.Looking forward coming back to Essendon for my first service.

Outstanding customer service
Just recently bought a Holden ss Ute from Subaru Penrith from Paul Beavis, within the three months warranty period there was a few issues regarding the vehicle. The way Paul and his Manager Robert Moody went outta there way in getting all issues sorted was outstanding. I live two hours away from the dealership and every avenue was tried to help me out even too the point of giving me a brand new car to get around while my car was getting fixed. I highly recommend team Subaru at Penrith and would definitely buy from them again and recommend them to friends.

Castle hill Subaru... poor service
I have been taking my car there for service since they opened in castle hill but after trying to spend money at their parts department I won’t be servicing my car there anymore.
Talk about amateur hour from their parts department.
Got the run around. Parts ordered and I turn up and they said they didn’t order them. Gave them all my details wow
Don’t use this Dealership.
Plenty of competition in castle hill for your car service.

Good Service within stated timeframe
We had our Subaru XV serviced at Wynnum Subaru Service Department 17/04/2019. In spite of being obviously very busy I was attended to immediately. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The car was serviced and ready for pick up within the stated time frame.

Red 2022 XV
Picked up my new XV yesterday, very happy! David and the team were attentive, informative and friendly. David knows his cars and spent a lot of time showing us the features, test drive and information. He answered all our questions knowledgeably. He even came in on his day off to do delivery and spent 2 hours showing me around the car. I highly recommend this dealership and will happily do business again in the future. A thouroughly pleasant experience. Thanks,Lucy.

Could not recommend highly enough - they are great people to deal with - straightforward, uncomplicated and have integrity. Would not hesitate to go back for a four in a few years.

Great service from Gail at Subaru Parramatta
The service team at Trivett Subaru Parramatta provide excellent quality and service. Gail has always gone above and beyond her role, booking with her is always easy and seamless. She advises of arrival time, organises a loan car and keeps me informed of my service progress. Gail is an asset to the Trivett Subaru Parramatta family, her polite and helpful manner is why our company has stuck with Subaru throughout the years. Keep up the great work. Thank you

Bought a 2018 Subaru wrx . Just been told that I need to pay $749 odd dollars to have the back shock absorbers replaced already . Car has done 40000 Klm ???? Is this right wouldn’t it be done under warranty?
4 answers
Hi O
You would need to check your paperwork and see what is covered under the warranty.
S
Shock absorbers are a consumable item like filters etc. Unless the car suspension has been hammered constantly on poor roads I think that they would be good for 100,000km..
How did you go with this?
Shouldn't matter what is written about the warranty, if you can justify that the shocks would normally last longer that 40000km (given that the car has been used as intended), I would think that they should be replaced in accordance with the consumer guarantee under the Australian consumer law

My 2002 Liberty sedan is rather reluctant to change up gears most days and is also rather sluggish when going up steep gradients, I am wondering if anyone has had problems like this with theirs and if so what has been done to rectify the issues?
2 answers
Hi Mitch,
your car is now some 14 years old and perhaps it is nearing the end of its useful life. Obvious suggestion is to take it to your trustworthy mechanic to have a look at or to consider getting a new Subaru. The Outback is incredibly capable and good car. Good luck.
Ivan36, I should have also mentioned that it has nearly 250K on the clock, and is starting to sound rather agricultural....perhaps you're right....might give the mechanic a buzz in the next week and get a once over

Have purchased a Subaru Outback 2010 2L Diesel manual had only done 36,000kms but within months of purchasing it the clutch, flywheel and whole engine need replacing apparently due to the Diesel Particle Filter. It is covered by the Subaru 12 month warranty however Subaru won't do anything about the problem. Has anyone else had to replace their engine in a Subaru Outback 2010 2L Diesel? Any ideas on how to get Subaru to come to the party?
3 answers
I was advised not to buy diesel for this reason. Apparently Australian fuel is the problem, higher sulphur than Europe and it means the filters clog quickly. It's not a Subaru only issue.
Following on from this. THe car needs $16,800 worth of repairs to replace the entire engine, flywheel, clutch, turbo, head gasket and Subaru ROseberry won't pay anything to cover the cost of repairs. This car is covered under the 12 month Subaru Assured Warranty however they won't stand by this we are left out of pocket to cover the repairs. The General Manager's attitude is they have to make profit!. Never ever buy a Subaru from Roseberry. Absolutely appalling customer service.
The Subaru Outback 2010 manual diesel is a piece of crap. It was the first diesel manual manufactured by Subaru, an absolute disaster and Subaru won't admit to it, they should have refunded every customer for this piece of crap.
