Worst experience ever!!!
Was informed after my accident that because it was an univediable that I would recover my excess back! However to only then get informed I will not! Currently going thru ombudsman for this! Would not recommend ever!!!!!!

Definitely recommend Suncorp insurance
My son had broken our Hisense 55" curved TV which after claiming through insurance found out they don't stock that model anymore. However, Suncorp insurance went out of their way to find us a TV that best fit the description of our previous one. They organised a delivery for a Samsung 55" curved TV with additional features.
Would definitely recommend Suncorp insurance to anyone looking for fast and reliable insurance.

I had an accident on a Sunday and was able to call suncorp at 4pm on a SUNDAY and have it arranged for my car to be picked up within days! my car was going to take 10 days to repair and i was offered a hire car AND trasnport to get to and from collecting the hire car
when my car was "fixed" i collected it to find still had a dent in it (not suncorps fault, the mechanics fault)
when i called suncorp without any hesitation they offered me the hire car again (much longer than i was supposed to have it!!!!) and apologized profusely.

process from start to finish Suncorp were nothing but professional, kind and understanding in a very stressful time for me. After hearing from friends the horror service they are receiving from their car insurance companies I find myself thinking how glad and lucky I am to be with suncorp

Pretty disappointed overall.
Had full comprehensive cover for the past 5 years on the same car with no claims whatsoever. I sold the car and rang up to cancel the policy and was informed I had to pay a cancellation fee due to not renewing with another car and it not being within the cooling off period. I think the final straw is them asking for your credit card number for a final cancellation payment (in which you have 14 days to pay). It leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth and doubts that I would ever consider them when renewing any of my other insurance policies. I really cannot comment on their customer service because I have never had to call on it.

Great Service
We can't fault the customer service received with making a claim. Very professional and prompt service. Would recomend them highly. All our policies are with them. Just over 1 week from submitting the claim to have the resolution.

Service Bad!!!
Had a suncorp car insurance just 1 year and they send me the renewal which is $100 increase. I have 1 claim but not at fault, they still increase more than $100 premium.
I also experienced the hail damage and they said if my car is not going to repair (pay excess) they are not provide me the comprehensive insurance next year.
And the customer service is bad too! Call me and ask me my name and ask me my address just said call from Suncorp. I asked what is the issues and she said you have to provide me the details first otherwise I can't provide you the informations. (You call me ask my personal informations without reason?)

Worst insurance service
Unhelpful, unethical, called me a liar multiple time, overcharged on premiums, sent my car to a bad panel shop who damaged my car more and denied it. Discusting! Caused months of stress, never resolved my issues, basically dragged it out till I gave up even with documented proof there was no reimbursement or repairs.

Unreliable and unfair process claim!
Really terrible experience with Suncorp from claiming service to customer service. It's totally contrasted to their slogan "A peace of mind, you can rest assured..." Instead, they caused me nearly three months of stress. At the end of the day, I was totally disadvantageous and I decided to give up claiming due to their intention of making customer really exhaustive of a troublesome claiming process. No reliability at all and can't suffer more.

Suncorp Roadside Assist
Very dodgy service providers used by them. Do not use Suncorp for Roadside Assist. They sent a tow truck to move my car to repair a tyre puncture. Then they used their tow truck to lift my car up to put the spare tyre on and damaged the front wheel steering. Very expensive repair for me now and the service provider (tow truck guy is lying and saying he used a jack to change the tyre. Suncorp is not paying for the damage their roadside assist did to my car.

Very poor repairs
Recently had my car repaired through Suncorp's Capitalsmart, no choice of repairer. The repairs were very poor, bumper not fitted properly, paint missing and a scratch on the repaired work, headlight not aligned. They "removed" a small piece of trim from another area, they must have had a greater need of it. No follow up by Suncorp. If these are the type of repairs they approve I will be looking for another insurance company at renewal time. Terrible terrible.

If i had no insurance ide still have a car to go to work in instead i paid you morons $600 excess for you to steal my car from me cause you couldn't swallow $200 so you deregistered my car without bothering to tell me n then had Hyde to make me buy my own car back and pay my premium of insurance for a car i no longer have till jan 2018 cause i paid monthly !!! you stole from me and not to mention i have to still pay my finance company $7000 for a car i no longer have thanks to you morons, still drivable and roadworthy, panel damage only !!! Thanks i no longer have a job as lived in my car for work and am in process of losing my house, thanks for nothing, WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND YOU TO MY WORST ENEMY !!!!

Terrible customer service
Hit a kangaroo outside of longreach Suncorp towed the car to emerald it then sat in emerald for four weeks before Suncorp decided to tow it to Rockhampton it has sat in Rockhampton for three weeks before the assessing team gave the go ahead this week. It then has to get towed back to emerald for panel beating work. Live and work in Blackwater need a car to get to and from work I've spent over $1000 in hire cars. As the customer, I've been ringing mechanics and Suncorp to follow up my claim. I'm so angry with how long it has taken (nearly 8 weeks just to start repairs) will not be renewing my policy.

Great deal
I compared all other quotes that I received and Suncorp was the best so I moved vehicle, house and content to Suncorp.
I am pleased with everything to date except that it is difficult to get feedback to enquiries by email. I asked for certain clarification concerning addition of a solar system and how it would affect my cover - I am still waiting.
Price-wise it's great but I would like to get responses to questions especially as it may impact on whether cover is still extended to our property.

Misleading and immoral.
I lodged a claim with suncorp which had a copy of the note left on the vehicle which included all details to be able to track down the responsible party. They then told me I would be up for $600 excess as details were not provided. I refused to pay and complained - they then removed it.

Profiteering psychopaths
Still attempting to get work done from an accident before Christmas 2016, eight months later. There is a pattern clearly playing out between Suncorp and two separate workshops approved for repairs. Where they use delaying tactics to spin it out weeks and months, buck passing from one to the other, never moving the job forward. Doing my health in - already fragile on disability for trauma. mere incompetence. Commuting from country and needing a 4wd hire car, for which policy covers 'like for like', their latest callous disregard was to today tell me that a 4wd couldn't be sourced (from their usual hire company) for two months!!! This after first trying to palm me off with a model that isn't offered in that variant. Her carrying on as if SUV equates to 4wd. Same person who said the records [to indicate in whose court the 1/2 year delay lay] were 180° counter to what I'd been told by numerous of her colleagues over recent weeks. Then be insolent about a serious discrepancy. When I insist they source a 4wd for my repair booking next week, she says she's found another hire company and they have a Pajero. So it appears settled... however before calls end, after yet another wait, she's done a bait and switch by dropping an Outlander was booked. I thought that may have been an AWD which ought be okay, so left it at that. But ringing hire company raises questions on insuring the stand in vehicle. Back and forth many times, derailing to rob my busy town day. Suncorp reckons they got the dates wrong. Yet was repeatedly relayed correctly to me & had to have got it right with hire company, because they got it right. Forced to make multiple calls to double, triple etc check issue after issue; ensure it goes without any ill afforded hitches. Yet instead, again with Suncorp, I'm being triggered with fabricated/falsified news/issues, or being assured that they have, are or will sort things. Their 'good cop' routine often part of yoyo abuse cycle when turns out not to be the case. Check hire car specs & sure enough, no off road ability in fact clearly states not to. On and on, spanning near 15 hours from start to late this one day... to be hung up on twice late at night. Why is it that every single Car Insurance company including you Suncorp have shocking bad reviews pages of unhappy complaining customers from the cheap insurance to expensive so are they all wrong are these customers all complaining about nothing? I have yet to find an insurance company with "rave reviews" so who do I choose? You Suncorp? You tell me. . .

Firstly, most of the insurance companies are owned by 1 or 2 parent companies!!! So no matter who you insure with, you are dealing with that parent company and if you aren't happy and change your insurance company, its probably to one of their other ones, so they don't care as they are still getting your money.....
Secondly, its because noone is watching over them making them do what they promise/claim! I was going to go to the Ombudsman but that turned out to be useless as they approve what the insurance companies are doing....
I ended up having to dig my heels in and fight them all the way by refusing to pick up my car until it was either fixed or written off and after 3 months, I finally have my car repaired and picked up.
Luckily I have another car, but if I didn't I would have been forced to accept their decision.
There needs to be a watchdog keeping an eye on them and making them abide by their promises.....as it is OUR MONEY, currently they can do whatever they want and get away with it unless you are prepared to fight them on it....
