Excellent
Overall, being a toyota, very comfortable and reliable. The car is very practical and easy to use. Good for long a short trips.
Very reliable car, done several trips up coast and to snow and never missed a beat. Large and spacious. Quiet, confortable and enough power for mid sized car.
Fuel efficiency. Not as efficient as first thought but still better than a V8. Australia did not get 7 seater until later. Would be better if it was a people mover.

I bought the RAV brand new and love it, sporty, roomy, can carry lots of stuff, lots of hidey holes to put things
I love how the back seats recline as well as slide back, great for tall passengers giving them more leg room, the boot is very roomy, love the cargo net you can put up so groceries dont go everywhere, love the bluetoooth, and the alarm for the front seats
Fuel efficiency feels like I am filling it up all the time, radio antenna is a bit of a pain

Very happy with the car, the look the affordability and running costs .I did think it was going to be a bit better on fuel but i am use to having a small car though. The boot space is amazing and one of the main reasons for buying the car .
The leg room in the back is great and I love that you can move the seats individually .Is smooth to drive and comfortable to sit in.Im very happy and would buy another RAV 4 in the future .
Roomy and feels safe,Easy to drive and affordable to run and service
No much but wish i could have got the one with the leather seats as the dark upholerstry shows up all specs of dirt .

I have the 2008 Cruiser model and love it. I use it for off-roading as well and it has handled everything I have thrown at it. The only problem is that the interior space is too small for a growing family. To have a pram in the boot requires the back seat to be moved forward, limiting the leg room in the back. With a baby capsule installed behind the passenger seat, there is little leg room left for the front passenger.
Brilliant car for people with no baby seats and prams.
The styling, the handling, the grunt from a small engine. Fixed price servicing.
Becomes very small once you have a baby capsule in the backseat and a pram in the boot.

A real pleasure to drive. Comfortable and a good sound system. I find the Toyota Sat Nav/sound unit superb and easy to use. My only real negative was with the dealer Illawarra Toyota -being supplied with a Dec 2009 plated car when I purchased in May 2010 with no consultation.
Good value for money. Great handling. Great features e.g. seatbelt warning, bluetooth, rear camera etc etc
Petrol consumption not as good as expected, but still not bad. Hard to clean the roof when washing.

OK
I have driven several of the RAV4’s in the past years, the V6 addition is a little ripper with tonnes of grunt and good fuel economy to return around 10litres per 100km, the steering is a little vague across the range, but I have found this typical with all the Toyota range. The 2.4 4cyl is a tad under powered and struggles to get going, the base model CV is very basic and many other competitors offer. The back door hinged on the side is a pain if you have to park close to a wall, all other types of SUV offer a top hinged opened back door / tai...Read more
l gate. Now in 2010 I’d place my money with the new Hyundai ix35, far better looking cheaper, better handling etc: with better safety features (Rav is only 4 star ANCAP rated!!) Toyota name, you know it's going to last 10,000km service, base models are very base equipment, a back opening door hinged on sideSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Terrible
I have exhaust smell in cabin under acceleration. its the rear vent design .
To reproduce the conditions -
1. Put AC on.
2. Put Recirculate Air On.
3. Set AC vents to the centre and put the fan speed to 1 or 2 (Base Model Air con)
4. Point the air-flow at your head... (you'll notice it ealier)
5. Windows UP
6. No Cargo in the rear - and leave the Cargo cover rolled up...

We bought the special edition Altitude 2010 which comes with just about everything the Cruiser does. We have had it a couple of months now. We shopped around and test drove several cars that are similar. I initially had my heart set on a Honda CRV but after prodding from my husband went along and test drove the Rav 4 and it was the best there was. We have 3 kids, 2 in a car seats and there is heaps of room. I love the back boot. We recently went away for the weekend and the boot wasn't even half full!
It drives beatifully in the city, does n...Read more
ot feel big and bulky to drive which was my main fear after driving small cars all my life. We even took it off-road and it was a dream with its handling. What more can I say - best car ever! Everything about this car... Can't think of any..Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

We drove a Prado and wanted to downsize. The Rav4 meets our needs. Still up higher than a sedan. Easy to drive and get around in the city as well as going away.
Great car, plenty of room and extra room for storage. A family car thats easy to drive and park. All doors have a drink holder. The boot has a flip out floor which you can store shopping or your handbag. Cargo cover and net to secure your items. Room for a pram or stroller. Plenty of leg room and you don't feel cramped at all.
I don't have anything at all that I dislike about this car.

We love our Rav4. It has excellent storage space. The seats fold down easily if we need more room. The height of the car is great for getting our baby in and out of the car seat. We got the edge edition and are more than happy with the features of the car. Even though it is bigger than our previous car, it is easy to park and doesn't feel like we are driving a truck.
Space, Fuel economy, fixed price servicing, size of car and ease to drive
The only problem we had with the car was with the blue tooth. It doesn't adapt well with our Nokia (but works well with our Samsung phone). Not quite sure why??

Great car
Have been driving Toyotas for 20 years however this time decided to go with a 4wd vehicle. Living in Canada I was looking forward to good traction control. During one weekend I had to go into the woods to cut some wood and had to break a trail with about two feet of snow. With locked differential this car simply plowed through the snow, no issues. Great acceleration with the v6 and solid handling in winter conditions. With a 6"4" inch frame the seating is a little tight but quite comfortable. Toyota transmission have always been amazing,...Read more
the rav4 is no different. My car is new and I still haven't seen very good gas mileage but I suspect that is because I simply love all that acceleration. Being very tall I love the rear swing door which means I am not continuously bending over everytime I take things in or out of the back. I also like the fact that the vehicle is higher off the ground than what I have used to. When getting into the car I am not falling into the seat but rather climbing into it. Much easier to grt in and out of. Overall I am very pleased with car and would recommend to anyone especially for the 4wd traction, awesome. Acceleration and traction Interior plastics give it a bit of a cheap feelingSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
