Can not recommend
Used on tiles and carpet. In the first few months it seemed fine, did the job but then it stopped working. The head was replaced and then it started making this loud awful noise. Back for repairs and another head replaced it is still the same. Stops working every few minutes. In the process of trying for a store credit to buy something else.
Purchased in October 2021 for $256.00.

Power head scratches wooden floors
I have bamboo flooring and cannot use this vacuum anymore because it's leaving scratches. The power head has a thin, flat, felt strip which is completely useless at keeping the plastic base from dragging along the floor. Both the head and the floor are scratched.

Wouldn't Buy Again
My old stick vacuum died and I wanted a replacement pronto. Reviews of this product were all positive, but compared to my previous appliance, this stick vacuum does not perform so well. Why? 1) The wall bracket is flimsy, needs three screws and the charger plug has to be inserted separately. Ideally, the bracket and charger should be in one; alleviating the need for the two steps of placing the unit on the bracket and inserting the charging plug. 2) Having to turn on the Brushbar, and turn off the Boost mode, on start-up, is inconvenient. ...Read more
Ideally, the Brushbar should be automatically "on" as it is needed for most applications. 3) The dirt container is difficult to empty. Ideally, the dirt container release button should be conveniently on the top of the dirt container, then there would be no need to bend over the container to release the dirt and have dust blow up into one's face. 4) Suction is not as powerful as one would expect and the head is not easy to manoeuvre. 5) A nice to have, would be a light on the front of the vacuum head, so one could see the dirt in dark spots. 6) The appliance is heavy at the handle end. In summary, not a product I would buy again and given the price, not value for money. In my experience, cheaper appliances have better features and perform better. The problem with all stick vacs is the longevity of the battery.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A good middle price range.
This does everything I need but has better suction that the cheaper KMart version. Slightly heavier than I expected but am happy to compromise to have a stick vac that picks up bird seed. Much cheaper than a lot of the big stick vac brands. Good battery life and power head.

Weak parts - will not last
Timber laminate flooring. Never over worked. Had to replace head 3 times in 2 & 1/2 years. Clear tube inside breaks. This vacuum works really nice straight out of the box and i was foolish enough to recommend this product to family. All have had nothing but issues.

Great promise BUT
Model VX63 Vax Blade Pet Pro Cordless .
Purchased this June 2018 from HN, showed a lot of promise, but alas that has gone down the "you know what". When the brush head gets clogged with carpet "hair" (no pets in this house and no hair on my head, so only hair from wife & grandkids), it scratches a mark on the vinyl floor, so have to cut out the hair by pulling the head apart. What a pain of a job. Most times when it is started it cuts out and won't work when machine is moved. Just get it started and off you go and it cuts out again, very, very...Read more

Okay Product. Terrible Customer Service!!
Bought a VAX VX63 vacuum cleaner as a cheaper option to Dyson over an year ago. They have 2 year warranty on them. Like others mentioned in this page the flexible hose on the motorized head is now torn up which means air is losing through the cracked hose and no suction. Contacted VAX customer service requesting for a replacement for the broken part, but was told that the vacuum cleaner need to be taken in to a 3rd party service center during weekdays for assessment. VAX will not pay for shipping the part apparently. Despite multiple times tell...Read more
ing the customer service personnel that we are unable to take it to the service center due to work and just need a replacement for the broken item as it is still on warranty they refused to help at all. Eventually the customer service stopped responding and now we are stuck with a vacuum cleaner that do not work in just over an year. Will never buy another VAX product again. I have heard great things about Dyson and think it is worth investing a bit extra on one of them. VAX may look like a better option when comparing price and the decent quality of the product, but these opinions will fade away as soon as you have some trouble with the machine, which require you to contact the VAX customer service and their 3rd party service center. Stay clear of VAX if you can.Purchased in June 2021 at Bing Lee for $270.00.

Save up to buy a better stick vacuum
It was alright for the first few months, but it doesn’t work at all anymore. It makes the vacuum sound but doesn’t vacuum any dust or fluff on the floor! Very dissapointed and wrote this review (my first) to prevent others from wasting their money on a useless product.
Purchased in October 2021 for $250.00.

Absolute rubbish
This vacuum is an absolute waste of money. Works OK for the first few weeks and after that vacuums the rubbish, holds it in the hose and returns it to the floor as soon as you turn it off.
Spend a bit more and buy a good brand.

great buy!
we bought this from the good guys about 6 months ago. We are very happy with the product so far! we use the turbo boost button pretty much the whole time when using it as it picks up the little crumbs better. we have a 2 bedroom unit and after giving the entire unit a vacuum the battery is ready to be recharged.
please note, be extra careful with charger, ours broke and had to buy a replacement charger which costed $70!

Stay away from this Vacumn
Bought this product from the good guys in Jan 2022, the charger was plug in the wall then one day found the pin broken, not sure if the kid run and hit it or the inferior part itself broken. the pin is cover with plastic with a very thin metal part, unlike any other part. Range Vax, they ask to contact retail store. then range the good guys, no warranty due to physical damage, they also dont even sell the charger. should have gone with Dyson.

Loved it for the first 5 minutes
I have a friend with a small Dyson and to start with thought I had got something better value and as good. Longer battery life, better tools, bigger motor and seemed great. BUT even though it says for pets it always gets blocked! Always. I have to clean the tube out every time as it gets blocked and the power head just gets full of my long hair which I have to cut off roller...every time! My floors are wooden and its great suction but something is wrong as it clogs up and not much makes it to the canister for removal.

It is okay does job but very small filters.
Yes we got this because its handy, ies is working well. - but not very happy with this. Does job but required filter cleaning very much frequently, could be better with lager filter and lager dust storage. but we are waiting for it to die to get other one.

How did I go for so long without a stick vacuum?
My cleaner was away and the house needed a good once-over. Nooks and crannies I never venture into were creeping up (and out) on me. I also have a robot vacuum cleaner that was behaving badly, so I decided to introduce some competition into the dust-removal stakes. As usual, I reviewed the options, hoping for something that would act as a broom to clean floors; remove cobwebs; remove debris from deep grooves... you get the picture. The expensive stick vacuums (especially Dyson) rule the tops of the reviews, but I know a number of people who've ...Read more
had problems with these, so I was happy that the Vax rated nearly as well for around 1/3 of the price. I purchased it last week and gave it a huge hammering, dealing with all the pent up dust and dirt. It needed 4 hours for the first charge, but in return I got well over 20 minutes of vacuum time. I had to empty the dust container a couple of times, but that was very easy to do. The attachments are easy to use and very effective. I was appalled at the dirt that came from areas I never clean. It makes cleaning stairs particularly easy, but also tracks of sliding doors, between decking, picking up pet hair... etc. The competition seems to have worked too, because my robot vacuum has now got it's act together and tootled around happily gathering the routine sand and pet hair it had neglected for a while. So far so good. I find it hard to imagine what more I could get from a $900+ vacuum cleaner and my house is looking much better.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

the quality just average
The design is bulky, and the quality is not premium. The iron screws are already rusted after a month of usage. It is pretty heavy for single hand use. It only sucks well in boost mode. without boost mode, it doesn't pick up mass dust. The on off button is a bit blunt. Battery only lasts for 20 minutes and that is not adequate for my whole cleaning session. However, it is cheaper than Dyson.

Don't waste your time or money
I jumped on this page before buying my machine and decided to go ahead with the purchase after reading all the great reviews.
What a big mistake that was!!!
Yes, it was a cheaper option to the Dyson and yes, it did somewhat pick up a fair bit of dust/hair/dirt without the battery dying quickly.
BUT the power in the suction only works when the motorised head is on. The other tools are completely useless as there is absolutely no suction when using them.
There is always a residue of dirt/dust that falls out of the machine when I turn it off and...Read more

Great when not clogging or breaking down
I purchased this vacuum September 2018. Worked great when it wasn't clogging up and spitting dirt back out. Power head seized up about 2 months later. Took it to authorized service centre and went without for 3 weeks. Eventually the power head was replaced with new one and now the same thing has happened again. Guess I won't be vacuuming again for a few weeks.

Better than others and works well on my floors
Bought this one as a trial and its nearly perfect. Works well on tiles, carpet and Timber floors. Charges well hold its charge for long enough to do a 3 bedroom house and comes with most necessary attachments. Has an indicator to show how far it is charged so you know before you start how long you have.

I love it!
This is my first stick vacuum and it's fantastic!
I never thought I'd be the kind of person who gets excited about household appliances, but I absolutely love this thing.
I live in a small flat, half carpet, half lino, the Vax works great on both. I have a cat that molts like crazy in summer so I've been using it almost everyday, with power head on the fur is taken care of in seconds.
I always use the Blade Pet Pro on boost mode, with the power head on for carpet, and off on the lino. I generally get my whole flat done 2-4 times on a si...Read more
ngle charge. The only slight negative I would mention, is that I wish the canister was a a little larger. If I'm doing a really thorough clean, it's sometimes needs emptying more than once, and the area I'm cleaning is quite small. On the plus side it's super easy to empty. Overall I'm thrilled with my new vacuum. It's perfect for small flats, or as a back up for quick tidying in larger homes.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

What is the suction power?
1 answer
It is enough to vacuum properly, not as mush as a corded vac as it is a smaller unit, you should go to a store like the good guys and try it out, it works the same instore as it does at home. Hope that helps!

I’ve just bought the Vax Blade VX63 and so far,
so good. I’m wondering if the battery is replaceable with a new one, once it’s unable to be recharged eventually. Hoping I won’t have to buy a whole new stick vacuum in a couple of years time just because the battery won’t charge any more and it’s not replaceable.
1 answer
It is not a consumer replaceable battery, however buy the time it needs replacing I will be long out of warranty. I will dismantle it myself and get one made.... if I can be bothered :)
