Hi
Is there anyone out there currently building with Ventura? We are some of the last clients before they went out of business and would love to see how your journey has been. Ours is so disheartening and we are rapidly losing interest...not how building a forever home should be!!!
Hi Linda. Same here. I think we are in the same boat. Every step is painful and extremely slow. I selected Ventura because of all the good things I have heard and didn’t want to experience major issue...
Read mores along the way but it wasn’t the case and I am questioning my decision every day. However on the plus side, I think BGC is doing better than other builders . My case is very slow but looks like it is still moving. My rep moved from Ventura to a different builder and I am still in contact with him. The other one which is a big title is struggling and the rep is fighting for his job. Seems all builders are not in a good situation. If this is true then I think BGC is still doing better than others. Don’t forget they already owned majority of Ventura.Thank you Babak for answering...I thought it was just us! Trying to keep positive but it is hard. Our sales rep did his job well, thats all I can say, he never returns our calls now ...he gained our...
Read more trust and respect and sold us something that he can no way deliver all the time telling us they were the best builder and not to go with anyone else. I am sorry we listened to him now. I am sure his ego is a bit bruised. Have you done pre start. We did ours on the 22/7 after waiting 5mnths for our drawings to be done and today just an hour ago we received our building permit, but still we cant get an answer as to when we can go to site works. I know its a bad situation out there but we are like you and actually had this plan drawn up nearly a year ago and put our deposit down in February. I really hope we get the same standard as what it used to be. Thanks again Babak, wishing you all the best on your build. Thanks for sharing Linda.
Well, I had my pre-start and selection and all. I have been told that’s completed and then the pre-start lady left. A month of silence and I have contacted Ventura and the n...

Can anyone tell me if Ventura offer floor coverings and window treatments as standard inclusions? I'm searching the website and dont see them? Any advice?
We didn’t get asked the question when we built with them if we wanted them included or not but I’m sure they have some contact they use and could possibly price that up for you.
Hi Ali F, we would be happy to help with your floor coverings, they are currently not a standard inclusion due to the amount of options being available for floor coverings, however we would be happy t...

Hi all,
We are about to commence a build with Ventura.
Im just curious to know what the average time is from slab town to hand over? We are trying to get a time frame to allow for the sale of our current home and the move itself (including the work we need to do after handover).
My experience is just a torture. I won’t recommend it. I had my pre start at June and I have been told today that the slab down would not happen this year! Simply told Ventura is not a brand anymore a...
Read morend things are pushed back. Tbh I would cancel my contract as I have no hope for it to even finish. The only thing stopping me of doing so is my wife otherwise I would have done it by nowRead from some Ventura advertisement (on Facebook) that client get weekly updates from supervisor, however we do not get any weekly (not even monthly progress update). -- Can we request for weekly update?

Quite hesitant to build with Ventura due to negative ratings and reviews on the web. Any new updates/feedbacks from those who recently built with them? Your thoughts please.
Hi Jan
We were pretty happy with the whole process. They kept us well informed through the building process and the house was finished on time.
There were a few little things to have fixed at the en...
Hi Jan,
I love Ventura to bits!! :-) I recently built with them and finished in July this year and I cannot say enough positive things about the entire Ventura team. My build with them was so bliss...
I'm currently building with Ventura and have had an amazing experience so far. Slab went down a month ago and about to get the bricks up. We're building in a newly developed area and there are a num...
Read moreber of other couples building for the first time in the area. From the comments of 4 others that I've met in our development, by far the experience with Ventura has been the best. Since we went into construction, the house has been moving ahead every day and overall I'm quite pleased with them.Hi there, has anyone building with Ventura been asked to sign the clause below?
1. Ventura Homes to complete render to Boundary Wall to southern boundary. Ventura Homes accepts no responsibility to repair or rectify any possible damage that may be occur to the neighbouring property during the proposed works.
2. The Owner accepts liability for any damage that may occur when accessing the neighbouring block for the intended purpose and therefore, holds the responsibility to repair or rectify accordingly
Don't do it there is nothing express about them, slow as wet weaks ! We are in tears almost every time we drive past our build :( so so slow .
Hi All
We are contemplating signing a contract to build with Ventura. The reviews are scary, but like most companies, there is always a mix...
The design of the house is great, and I have seen 3 near complete houses of theirs in the last month and they appear (at least on the surface) to be of decent quality and finish...
I feel like I'm being completely ripped off on the cost of some of the alterations. Has anyone else experienced this? A lot of the 'bad' reviews are from sometime ago... do you feel like they have improved over time?
Or am I kidding myself!?
Hi Ian,
My house was finished in Mid-April, built with Ventura Homes. As a first home builder, I can completely agree with the price shock that comes with all the upgrade options – Pretty much ever...
Read moreything is an upgrade with all Builder’s nowadays. But by far, it was worth it – In today’s age and market, resale always needs to be considered and you’ll thank yourself later. Plus, by the time the house was built, you have re-saved the money spent on upgrades and have a beautiful home to live in!Hi Ian,
We built with Ventura Homes in 2011 and could not be happier with our home. We chose to build with them after months of looking at display homes around Perth. The staff at Ventura were fanta...

How long does it take from slab down to lock up and then from lock up to handover on a 3 by 2 single story level block?
Hi Graham,
Thank you for reaching out to Ventura Homes on Product Review.
Every home is quite diverse depending on size, location and site conditions to name a few.

Well that told me nothing. But ok lets say it's a 3x2 150 square mtr in Harrisdale single story on level block.
Has anybody that is currently or recently built with Ventura had issues with Plaster and Internal/external painting?
If you had any of those issues have they rectify them?
We have terrible issues with our internal walls. We have just started to paint our walls for our children's bedrooms and not one wall has been primed or under coated, so angry. Every time we touch a w...
Read moreall all the paint is peelin and bubbling, it has now cost us so much more as we have now had to buy a primer & binder at $175 which won't even do one room. The paint job all through the house is poor, the plastering is poor & in one bedroom & the media room plaster is just coming away. The external render is breaking off in small bits too.Our house is now 2 years old. The showers STILL leak, the toilet seat at the back broke within months to name a few. I rang, emailed to no avail....would I build with them?...pffff I think not. I would certainly choose another builder.Almost at the End of A Roller Coaster ride that I cannot wait to get off as soon as key hand over is done. Would not hold my breath that they have completed all the outstanding PCI 1 Meeting list.
Has anyone built with Ventura's new company Express Two Storey Living? We are considering building with either Summit or ETSL. We are leaning towards Summit to be honest as we had 2 friends build with them and loved it. But Express 2 storey living is offering us a design that appears to have more for a similar price (2 storey instead of 1 storey with the same square metreage downstairs) and supposedly the same quality which is tempting to go with. Not sure if it is worth the hassle though having seen some of these reviews. Any advise/feedback from experience would be appreciated.
Hi Dinali,
Thanks for your question, however Express Two Storey is a separate company from Ventura Homes. Ventura Homes' two storey designs are under the brand V2. ...

Hasn't anyone built with Ventura for the last year as there are no reviews. We were thinking of getting a quote from them but the reviews are terrible, who is good? Everyone seems to have bad reviews, so who can you recommend?
Hi,
We have just moved into our venture home!its been great from the ground up to getting the keys.
Would defo recommend- high quality finishing :)
Definitely Celebration Homes!! If quality is important to you then avoid a BGC company as they only use either there own products or cheap Chinese alternatives. If you are not critical then the pretty...
Read more fixtures and fittings might fool you initially but 6 months down the track when they start falling apart you will find no one will service them and parts are impossible to get. Then you have the staggeringly slow build time which is just shameful- bit that's what you get when you have a manufacturer building for you than an actual builder...If you want a good quality home built you need to spend as much time as possible getting to know your tradies, i have done this on two occasions with great success i think if you are polite not ...
Read moreaggressive you can build a great relationship, and i believe if the tradies see a face to the home there is a greater deal of satisfaction to the job they are doing, this is how i would think otherwise it just becomes another job just a building not a home . Remember its not the building comany its the tradies they use and with a good supervisor you will get a great home built . Regards shayne DmelloIs anyone having issues with delays in having their Roof Tiles ordered and delivered onsite? Currently Harmony tiles is having issues with supply of roof tiles of up between 4-6 and just seeing if you are having the same issue.
Thank you
We were told at pre start there may be a 4-6 week wait, took them 12 weeks to have the tiles delievered with absolutley no explanation. Hope they get there soon!
We are about to sign up with Ventura. We would like to have a different brand of oven to what is being offered. - the Technic has had terrible reviews online - however, we have been told that this is not possible. Has anyone else struck this problem with Ventura or another builder?
Hi PLT,
Technika is not the standard brand used by Ventura Homes. If you are building with Ventura iD where Technika is used, then they do provide the option to change to other selected brands. The...
Read morerefore there is the option for the customer to choose an alternative brand.Hi I have a friend in melbourne who has had a technica in his house for 20 years only having to replace one element-- i wouldnt worry so much
There telling you lies. I changed mine for the very same reason. Ventura are not client friendly. Good Luck
Is anyone building with Ventura Homes in Piara Waters WA? how do you find the supervisors in charge therE?
Hi Goonerdroid,
We have the Senior Client Liaison at Ventura office that facilitate our contact with the Building Supervisor. We do not have direct access to the Building Supervisor. Hope this helps. All the bests to your building plans:)
Thanks the Haven, how's your experience so far with Ventura then? Communication ok?
I know some builder give out supervisor's direct contact, so not sure if dealing with Ventura during building will be an inferior process?
Hi Goonerdroid, yes, the building process with Ventura is excellent. Communication is good, important matters are documented in emails. Cheers!
Just wondering how long after shire approval it takes to lay the slab.its been about three weeks now and just rang ventura .they say maybe another six weeks ?????
Waiting on Final Plans to Be Drawn up before Signing Final Contract.
Still Have not Been to Pre Start. Just wanted to get some feed back on peoples experience with building with Ventura as to What to look out for? If you had any mayor issues that I need to look out for.
Hi Eddie. Yeah I have had a few problems. Only with the brickwork at this stage but then the roof timbres have only just started to go up. There's chipped bricks in my garage, uneven bricks on window ...
Read moresils and sliding door sills. Broken bond on the front if my house. It all just looks awful. They made me wait for a brick laying 'crew' for weeks, I was told it was a good crew. It was a 60 something year old man and his dog. Which I have no problem with if the build quality is good. But I did have my reservations. The other builders building on my street had proper crews of bricklayers. And when you bring these issues up with client liaison they won't get back to you. Or if they do its some email that brushes your issues aside. I'm lucky enough to have two bricklayers in the family. 20 years plus experience and they couldn't believe some of the things the bricklayer had done. And then you start to think that the Ventura supervisor must be checking on these things? Obviously not.Thank You C Lock. Can I ask you which suburb you are building in. Iam building in Piara Waters. I took the curiosity of walking into one of the houses been built by ventura in piara waters that was up...
Read more to roof stage and render has only just been completed. I did this cause I've been reading on some of the reviews on here and really contemplation engaging a building inspector just to be safe as I have my reservation that ventura is trying to say the are a cut above some of the other builders. I have heard that story they give you that the supervisor checks each house for workmanship but as you said yourself they don't they ring up the trades and check that way. I love for you to keep me posted on your progress please. Thank you EddieHas anybody on this forum been in contact with the building commission or state ombudsman relating to the above mentioned issues, and if so what response did they get ? I'm about to start a build with Ventura if they ever manage to get the drawings drafted up and out to council. I do agree with the poor communication also.
I would also like to know if anyone has been to the Building Commission or Ombudsman as I think I will be if they don't improve. I hope you don't have all the errors on your final plans like I did... ...
Read moremore delays while they make variations to the plans. They are in no rush to build any houses. I think they take on to many builds at a time and are just not capable of getting things done in a timely manner.Get an answer from our members and Ventura Homes representatives
