Love it!
Now that we have had this fridge a little over a year I can say that, I love it! Keeps everything fresh and the Ice box is perfectly chill. I love the alarm feature that lets you know a door has been left open. Lots of space yet fits perfectly in our tiny kitchen. I would highly recommend this fridge if you are looking for a basic fridge with a little extra style and class.

Terribly noisy fridge. Brand new but sounds like it's been used for decades? Save yourself the troub
Bought the fridge over the weekend, delivered yesterday. I accidentally turned off the power switch prior going away for an overseas trip 2 weeks ago, and my 6 months old samsung fridge had turned into garbage central with rotton meat and so had to buy a new replacement. This new westinghouse works ok in terms of temperature etc, but EXTREMELY noisy. I've changed 4 fridges in the last 15 years, never had such a noisy fridge. Had a circa 1970 fridge back in uni days and make the same level of noise - it's just not acceptable in this day and ...Read more
age! Informed harvey norman, they said it's normal. They said they can get someone to look at the fridge, but if the noise is considered normal as they mentioned already, I'll need to pay for the call out fee. I then asked if I can change to a different model, or pay the difference for my old samsung fridge which was simply perfect in terms of being whisper quiet, they said they do not entertain change of mind. It may seem like a change of mind to them, but the noise of the fridge is stuck in my mind! I cannot even enjoy reading my book without having the constant buzz of the fridge in the background, and when it's off you still think it's there! I don't even know how to put across to them it's not a change of mind purchase, I just want a fridge that doesn't sound like it's from the baby boomer's era! Decided to publish my 2 cents after reading other westinghouse fridge reviews of this model and similar models, many complains for being overly noisy. Not impressed whatsoever with westinghouse and harvey norman. I thought I'll try local, and unfortunately didn't pay off. Thanks harvey norman for trying to push this fridge on me when I wanted to get a samsung instead, not sure if they more commission from westinghouse? Now I'll have to try and sell this white elephant on gumtree to keep my sanity literally. Stay away from this model - it's not any cheaper than other Japanese or Korean brands. However, I must say that the shelving components and the compartments on the door side of the fridge are very useful, and I do like the bottle holding compartment - truly keeps juice and milk bottles in place.Similar opinion? This is an a,a Ing fridge. Large enough for a family of three. Works perfectly. Bottom has draws, easy to manovuer and fits a bit of food.
The top has so many shelves, adjustable, bottle cooling shelf too. It's fab, bottles get chilled in 30 minutes.
I love it.

Upside down Fridge a Dream
My westinghouse upside down is the best thing i purchased in white goods,
It runs silent no noises keeps to right temperature that it is set at.
Very easy to clean also the stainless steel look takes some beating.
It gives my kitchen a real renovation look as the style and looks all fall into place.

I am very happy with my fridge :)
I bought it second hand for temporary use only. And surprisingly I found it better then my Miele. The fridge is quiet and even temperature inside. Can't complain so far. The only thing I would change is to increase volume of space for vegetables, which takes more space than the fridge offers.

Far too noisy!
I liked the appearance of this fridge, the layout and the bottom freezer, it fitted perfectly in the space in my apartment BUT it is the noisiest fridge I have ever had. Electrolux came out and told me it was a normal sound.
The compressor comes on consistently and I don't believe it is normal. I can hear it from every room! I am going back to Good Guys to discuss my options. Not happy at all with this purchase now.

Worst fridge ever
First purchased this fridge on July 16th 2016 from The Good Guys, when it came home it didn't work at all. Lights were on but no cooling. It was replaced with another one buy The Good Guys.
On August 27th 2016, the fridge was not working, although the freezer was working fine. Had to wait for 5 days to get someone to fix it.
It broke again, on September 10th 2017, same issue, I will still have to wait for the whole cycle between The Good Guys and Westinghouse to get someone to fix it.

This is perfect
It is good. Not too loud and easy to clean in side specially for the fruit section. It keeps vegetables and fruits keeps fresh and last longer which is good advantage for me. Doesn't go off easily. Also stainless steel is easy to clean from finger prints. Big enough storage room.

Good fridge, a bit loud
Recently bought this a couple of months ago from the good guys. It had lots of great storage, love the adjustable shelving on the door. The vegetable crisper has flexible separator that allows you to adjust as needed. Love the freezer drawers and the freezer capacity is bigger than other fridge in its size.

Excellent fridge
Had this fridge for around 4 months now and have not found any issues yet. Plenty of room to held every thing we eat regularly. Very good performances and food seems to be staying fresher than ever. Very easy to control the temps. Would highly recommended for a family of 4 to 5 people.

Pretty much perfect
I've only had this fridge for a few weeks, so this is an early report:
I read reports from others on Product Review before this purchase. It's a great size for me and my cat. It's the first bottom mount I've had, and I like the convenience of the fridge at the top. I'm still getting used to drawers in the freezer, but am sure I will. The shelves in a top mount I found easier to use.
Others have mentioned running noise, but I don't find it at all noisy, although it is kept in a kitchen which is a separate room. There are of course noise...Read more
s when switching to defrost; etc. running noise is negligible. I've had no problem with getting ice out of the trays; it's not a problem as some indicated. The fridge also has space for 12 eggs; one previous report mentioned only 10. The door seal can require some effort to open at times. My previous fridge was also a Westinghouse, although a top mount. It was over 15 years old, and this new fridge is claimed to be twice as economical to run; time will tell. I love the interior LED light show... excellent!Similar opinion? GREAT FRIDGE BUT NEEDS MORE SPACE
I love my new fridge although it is a bit too tall on the first compartment and I would prefer more space but unfortunately, I am limited by the width in my kitchen. It is very quiet and seems to be doing a good job. I would also like the door to be able to close by itself and the wine rack is an excellent idea.

Brilliant Fridge, excellent performance!
Since purchasing this fridge mid last year, it has maintained a perfect temperature, it keeps the food moist, is very quite and never needs adjustment. It has a great ice maker and the freezer is excellent too. In all it is a perfect fridge for a small family or an area where a bigger fridge may not fit.

Very happy.
With flexible door shelves, makes it easy to arrange large and small items. Keeps good temperature, in hot or cool conditions, and is certainly quieter than my last fridge. I would recommend to anyone. Also has anti spill shelves, which are easily removed and easy to clean. Thank you Westinghouse.

Good Fridge
This is my third time I've purchased another Westinghouse Fridge due to their good reputation. Although, I've noticed that the older models I've had over the years, had more spacious compartments and loved the solid stainless steel racks. It took me little while to get used to the glass shelves. Otherwise, so far, I'm happy with it and hope this fridge will serve me just as good as the older ones I've had for 17 years.

Surpassing expectations
In the 6 months we've had it so far the Westinghouse has surpassed expectations.
It was reviewed fairly favourably by Choice Magazine, and was available at a VERY good price through Appliances Online which swayed the purchase.
It is replacing a similar sized 12 year old Fisher & Paykel and has initially impressed by its quietness and easy to clean stainless steel door which doesn't seem to particularly attract finger prints.
The impressive thing about the fridge is the evenness of temperature through the fridge compartment. Once set the temperature seems to remain constant through the year also.
Also impressive is the quality of the glass shelves and drawers in the freezer.

Annette L.asked
I have a bottom mount fridge freezer, can I remove the freezer door without removing the fridge door first?

Daveasked
I bought the WBE4500WA in June 2016. I had no problems until about 10 days ago. The fridge compartment got warm. I called a local repair person. He took out the plate at the back of the freezer and used a heat gun to melt the ice on the coil - about one third of the coil was iced up. He said it could happen again in a few days or it might not happen again for a year. Six days later the fridge compartment was warm again. We took off the plate at the back of the freezer and melted the ice with a hairdryer. Fridge cooled down again. The repair person said that it could be any one of a number of things and he could change them all one by one but despite this the problem could still recur.
So it looks as if we'll have to buy another fridge as there is no point paying for repairs if the problem may not be fixed. It won't be a Westinghouse after this experience.
I think it is quite ridiculous that a fridge should fail so soon. Our neighbours also had problems with Westinghouse fridges - had 2 or 3 that had problems soon after purchase and ended up buying another brand.
We bought our first fridge-freezer in 1981 - a Kelvinator. We had it for 17 years and it was still working fine. We only changed it because we were moving and my husband thought that the move might affect the fridge so we got rid of it. Then we had just a small bar fridge for about 4 to 6 years - no problems. In the early 2000s we bought a second hand Westinghouse from friends who were moving. We had no problems with it at all. We only got rid of it because I have back and hip problems and I wanted a bottom mount fridge. We gave the old Westinghouse to a local op shop.
